##9 Club Supreme with pickles, salt, pepper, olive oil, vinegar, blue cheese dressing and chipotle dressing
Joseph E.

I walked in tonight and was helped by Landon, Alex, Kai and Roman!!! When i talk about going above and beyond THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!!! I ordered a number 9 and i told Landon i had a weird request to put blue cheese dressing and chipotle dressing on my sub and he did it without hesitation!! They asked me if putting that stuff on my sub was good and i said i don't know its my first time trying it. They all looked at me mindblown. Landon even offered to remake my sub if it wasn't good! THIS IS AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Going above and beyond to take care of the customer!!! I told him don't worry about it i knew i was going to love it!!! I was only supposed to buy a sub and Idk how Landon did it but he read my mind and somehow knew i was thirsty and told me that they had really good sweet tea. Im a huge sweet tea fan so of course he had sold me on getting a large sweet tea ams Boyyyyyy was it amazing!!! Then I thought to myself you can't get a sub and a drink without chips so i grabbed a bag of chips. As Landon, Alex, Kai and Roman helped to make my sub and my experience out of this world they asked me if i wanted a cookie cause they must of saw me looking at them or they read my mind again!! I asked them if I should get a cookie or a brownie and they all said the brownie hands down!!! So i got the brownie. I just got home and torn open my sandwich and took a bite......when i say i died and went to heaven and got to witness the BIG BANG creation!!!!! BEST SUB IVE EVER HAD!!!! My dad even tried it and he fell in love too!!! ALL FOUR OF THESE EMPLOYEES ( Landon, Alex, Kai and Roman) DESERVE A RAISE OR A PROMOTION!!!! Also i have to mention Landon told me this was his first week and Ive gotten better service from him then i ever have from people who have worked at their job for years or months!! Whoever hired him GREAT JOB!!!! P.S. maybe i could get my creation on the menu? I think it would sell like crazy!!!

Bread was stale. Meat was sparse. Very disappointed. Like eating yesterday's sandwich. Service fair.

Best Philly style cheesesteak sandwich you can find anywhere. It's a #56 with lettuce and tomato. All the subs are really good.

Not impressed! Poor management, very disorganized, no lids for the fountain drinks. I'm sticking with Publix deli.

Five Guys - A Five Guys cheeseburger, milkshake and regular order of fries sits on a table inside a Five Guys restaurant.

Burgers are pretty simple. You don't need a lot of pizazz or fancy sauces/toppings to make a good…read moreburger. Yes gourmet burgers have their niche but sometimes you don't want that but you don't want to stoop so low and get fast food. That's where places like Shake Shack and Five Guys come in. They have a hot griddle, soft buns, and toppings you can get at your grocery store. Most Five Guys I've been to are the same so you can expect pretty good consistency across all the locations. What makes the Hendersonville location special is that you can order milkshakes as well. I've had them before and they are pretty good, but I didn't get one this go around. What makes Five Guys so good is they have every "normal" topping imaginable, good bread, and as long as the employee at the griddle doesn't screw up your meat patties, it will come out juicy. Pair it up with an order of fries and you have your all American meal. I always order my burger "All The Way", meaning it comes with tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mayonnaise, lettuce, and mustard. There are other toppings like BBQ sauce, jalapeños, etc that you can order at no extra charge. It's pretty standard what I order here: Double Bacon Cheeseburger (All The Way), Small Fries w/ Cajun seasoning, regular-sized drink. Because of the number of toppings, burger comes out a mile high but it's oh so good. Juicy beef patties, gooey cheese, fresh vegetables, and a nice amount of condiments. Thr Cajun fries are dusted with Cajun seasoning and like Five Guys style, you get half a paper sack full of fries despite ordering a small. The only beef (see what I did there?) with Five Guys is the pricing. That meal I mentioned earlier cost me 20$. That is expensive, even for a fast casual restaurant like Five Guys. And that's why I don't always come here and "cheap out" by going to McDonald's across the street. It's not really a comparison but money talks. Especially when you dine out as much as I do.

So, what do you do when you're staying in Hendersonville for a couple of nights at a hotel and you…read moredon't have a car? You give thanks for being within walking distance of so many big chains. I may not patronize chains much while at home (no judgement; just a habit) but when in Rome, eat Italian food... or something like that. I set off from my hotel with nothing more than a direction and a hankering for a bacon cheeseburger* (with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and grilled onions) and fries. It's my (old) go-to order at Five Guys and I didn't see any need to change it up. Oh, and a root beer. Can't forget the drink. If you've been to one 5 Guys, you've been to them all. This one is pretty decent for a few reasons. 1.) For whatever reason, my order cost less here than it did/goes on West End. I don't know how that's possible with a standard order from a chain but I wasn't knocking it. 2.) Despite the chain energy, I found the staff to be pleasant (ie I didn't just order and step to the side; sometimes it's the little things). 3.) I enjoyed the high lighting and clean environs. Light makes the brain think 'clean' but this location actually was/is clean. Again, the little things. The exorbitant price keeps me from granting the fourth star but I think a person could do far worse than dinner from 5 Guys on a cold early winter night and lacking a car. *My order was a good size. I see from other reviews that size and quantity have shifted down. At these prices, that's a hard sell. YMMV.

Now there is one review before they switched to beef tallow and grass fed and finished beef so that one could be true for the time it was. But nowadays, Steak 'n Shake is gosh darn amazing for the taste buds. Maybe these individuals went here and ordered a plain burger and thought it would be out of this world. I want to speak for the garlic burger (aka the greatest burger there has ever been), the fries, the frisco burger, the shakes, and the cheese sauce. If you want your taste buds to explode with pure amazingness simply walk in and order a double garlic burger with fries and you will feel more satisfaction than you did when you got your first killing spree in Halo. This specific one has great workers who get your order to you promptly and correctly. If anything is ever missing they will gladly fix it for you in a heart beat. I have personally witnessed management take orders to people who happen to be older that are hard hearing and can not hear their name or number be called and have full blown conversations with them making sure they are laughing and having a good time while there. Also I bought the beef tallow they sell for the house and I use it for everything. It is a worlds difference when you use something actually natural and healthy to cook with. Where I grew up, I did not have this restaurant close to me. I now go here and only here for when I want fast food thanks to the healthy changes they have made throughout the years. They now switched their buns to no seed oils as well. This chain is making changes that no other big chain is doing because they know it is the right thing to do. Thank you Steak 'n Shake!

I've never had a problem at Jimmy John's, but I did today. I went during my lunch break and ended up in a small argument with one of the employees. All i ask was that my sandwich be toasted. He proceeded to tell me that they can't do that. I asked they can't heat it at all for me? He told me it would be an extra five dollars if I wanted to heat my sandwich even though I can't eat cold meat. I told him that was fine if I had to pay the five dollars just so that I could get my sandwich toasted. I never told him I was pregnant, but he jumped to the conclusion that I was (i'm not showing) and made a scene with a full restaurant by saying "my mom never listened to the doctors when she was pregnant and she ate cold deli meat. I think people overreact." First of all, I'm glad that she was able to do that. Second of all he assumed that I was pregnant. I could've had some other medical issue which stopped me from doing that and for him to try to guilt trip me into eating a cold sandwich that could've potentially harm my child is crazy. Lastly it's extremely rude to tell me how to raise my My Baby and telling me that it's OK and that I shouldn't listen to my doctor. Mind you he was a Hispanic middle-aged man and had no place to tell me what I need to do. I ended up paying for my sandwich and leaving. I won't be returning to this location and I will make sure to tell my friends not to go to that location too.
