So I went to go try the sandwich place for the first time they have a chicken salad sandwich doesn't seem like it was gonna be pretty good but let me tell you I feel like I'm a regular there. Like I've always said with all the sandwich shops out there it's just like burger shops it's all your personal preference. Jersey Mike's has a nice set up and their sandwiches are usually pretty good size, but I see that their price point has definitely gone up. They don't pre slice their deli meats, they slice them fresh per order in front of the customer. Which every sub shop should do, because it tastes better when it's fresh. This place used to be so good. The sandwiches were great. The bread to meat ratio was perfect. Oops a private equity firm has taken over and now puts profits over everything else. Not only are the sandwiches considerably smaller, when you take a bite it's all bread with very little meat. If you want to mimic a sandwich from Jersey Mike's, put 3 pieces of bread together with a slice of ham and a slice of provolone and you got yourself a #2. I come here probably once or twice a week, my daughter loves their subs better than any of the competitors, Subway, Jimmy John's, etc. The interior itself is a small, clean space, with a walk up ordering area, or you can do what I do and use the app and preorder, your order typically will be ready for pickup when you arrive. The kids working the counter are inviting. Now onto the food, I feel like when ordering a cold sub Mike's way (onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinaigrette, olive oil, oregano and salt) you really can't go wrong, it's all sliced fresh and made to order. The hot subs can be good but it also depends what you order and who's working the grill. I typically order the Big Kahuna cheesesteak, onions, peppers, jalapeños, and extra American white cheese, I do have high standards when it comes to cheesesteak, theirs is good when I would like an easy and quickly made cheesesteak when I pickup my daughters sandwich and don't feel like going to my favorite cheesesteak restaurant across town. read more

This location is so hit or miss! Sometimes you get great sandwiches, but other times--like tonight--they mess up all the sandwiches including something as simple as a veggie sandwich. I'm not sure why it took me so long to try this place. I loved Subway until they changed the dressings. I'm not a fan of Firehouse or Jimmy John's. So I wasn't expecting much. How wrong I was! I love the fact that they have a "mini" size because it's perfect for me. I can't usually finish a whole sandwich and the dressing makes the bread soggy, so I end up either eating the contents without the bread later, or with guilt, throwing the rest away. The other thing I love that sets them apart is the CPR. No, not life resuscitation. Cherry Pepper Relish! It brings the sandwich to the next level. Went to Jersey Mike's on Eastern and ordered a Club Sub in a bowl only to be told they were out of bowls. This is about the 4th time this has happened to me at this location. For about a week, I was bringing in my own plastic bowl because they didn't have any way to serve me. I can understand running out of something, but how hard is it to just go to the store and buy some disposable bowls rather than turning customers away? I like this place, I've been here three times now but this will be my last. The food is good but there are some rude workers in there. I went in today and ordered my sandwich, the girl was nice but seemed a little impatient even though they just opened. Once she was done she slid the sandwich over and a guy came over to finish it. He said something which I could not understand, I said what? He said it again and I asked if he could pull his mask down so I can hear and understand what he is saying. His response she was, "you should have better hearing". WTF? This is the way you're going to treat a customer? I DO NOT recommend this location because the employees are rude and really don't care about customers. The only reason I didn't go off on this guy was because other customers were in the store, I had someone with me and posting here will be more effective then telling this guy what he can do with his sandwich.
