Never again. Service is terrible, 90 min wait for two subs. Clearly favoring walk-in business over online orders.

Hey family! This by far is my favorite bagel spot. For a while it really had me in a chokehold as I…read morewas going almost every week. I'm happy to say that after my first time trying it last year that I continue to go and support it. The service is always great and my food comes out spectacular. I have zero complaints. Just with any place, depending on when you go, it can easily be a little wait. I came in this morning on my day off and ordered the cruel summer on everything sourdough. It has scallion cream cheese, egg, bacon, and hot honey. I also tried the hash brown. I was pleasantly surprised because it was seasoned. Most times hash browns are very plain but this one was not. I opted to sit in and enjoy my breakfast. They had seating with standard tables and chairs. Anytime I've come in, it's always nice and clean. Needless to say, check it out. There are so many varieties of not only bagels but they also have wraps and croissants. So you can customize to your liking. Although, I'm a southern Belle, the New Yorkers have stamped this as a supreme bagel spot. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have.

Sometimes I'll also pick up some bagel chips too! They do have a great variety of options for both savory and sweet.

All of the employees we encountered were very friendly. Ally was our server and was AMAZING. We told her it was our first time there and she gave us some great recommendations. They also made a really good margarita and I am not typically a fan of traditional margaritas. The food and drink recommendations she made for the table were great, and the onion rings are definitely the best ones we've had in the area since relocating here. Both sandwiches we had were great. The Chicken Philly had a little bit of a kick to it, which made it a nice change from usual Philly sandwiches and the Cuban was different from a traditional Cuban as it had some barbecue sauce on it. It was a little different for me at first, but I ended up really liking it. Both salads were pretty big and both people really liked the salads. The person that got the blackened grouper Baja salad thought that the grouper was fabulous, seasoned perfectly and loved the salad overall. This will definitely be a place added to our usual rotations...

The hostess was very nice and quickly had a table cleared. She'd offered to sit me at the bar but 1) it was crowded and 2) I've rarely been happy sitting/eating at the bar so I was glad to wait for a table. It was on the patio and fortunately we had beautiful weather. Without that option, it might have been quite a wait. So many delicious looking pics on Yelp that I was torn between numerous lunch options. I chose the meatloaf sub. Meatloaf on a soft hoagie bun covered with melted cheese, and a side of onion rings. The rings were nice and crisp and actual rings, not the premade minced onions that some serve. I didn't care for the dipping sauce so, when I was able to catch another server, requested ketchup. The sandwich was delicious with the meatloaf nicely flavored. It included a pesto spread which I didn't care for but some might. I would have preferred a marinara base but everyone has their own taste. I'll add this to my return-to places as I'd really like to try their brisket grilled cheese and meatloaf bowl.

It had been almost two years since we'd been to Southern Roots, and I remembered it being good, but…read morethis visit was even better. We had the burger and gluten-free risotto, and both were very good. The wine list is a strength, with plenty to choose from. Prices are a bit high for Jamestown, but the food and variety justify it. The thing that really stood out for us was the gluten-free options, which goes well beyond the usual salad and grilled chicken: cauliflower crust pizza, quesadillas on a gluten-free tortilla, risotto, and shrimp and grits, plus the meats, salads, and sides that are gluten-free anyway. You don't see that many real options on one menu very often. If you eat gluten-free, put it on your list; if you don't, the food and wine are reason enough to go.

We had a great experience at Southern Roots. Between the table, we tried the Gouda Pimento Dip,…read moreshort ribs, the Granny Smith salad with shrimp, and the crab-stuffed trout. Everything was delicious, although my partner wasn't a huge fan of the short ribs. The trout and salad were both excellent. The cheese dip was delicious. The sides were a standout, especially the Parmesan spaghetti squash, which I highly recommend. We had to put some extra salt on the sides, but that's purely personal preference. They also had several reasonably priced drink specials, which was a nice surprise. The service was amazing--friendly, attentive, and a big part of what made the meal so enjoyable. Overall, a really solid dining experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

The service was great with everyone there being super helpful and sweet to us first-timers. Everything was delicious, especially the fries, turkey sandwich, Mac&Cheese, and the wings!! The place has a very warm atmosphere and we saw a lot of families enjoying their meals. Overall a great stop for anyone wanting to try Barbecue in the Triad area.

My wife found this family owned Banh Mi place and brought me over when we were in Greensboro…read more Located in a strip mall it is unassuming but the food was exceptional. I ordered a regular Bahn Mi and an iced Vietnamese coffee. The sandwich is around 12 inches and packed with what should be in a Banh Mi and nothing else, just the way it should. The bread was crusty and the meats were great flavored with a bit of heat from the toppings but not too much. The sweetness of the coffee balanced it out nicely. Good price and a great lunch.

Delicious sandwiches. It's as simple as that…read more I was hungry when I visited, so I ordered two. My first selection was the Saigon Classic, essentially the banh mi as it was intended. And then I also chose the New Orleans, which holds all the standard veggies and the pátê but adds some srirachi-flavored pork to the mix. Prices were reasonable and so too was the prep time. Both sandwiches were flavorful and perfect choices for lunch on a reasonably hot day. There were around nine or so tables inside the restaurant, and a few of them were dirty, though staff did get them cleaned up by the time I left. And apparently the air conditioning was on the fritz, so the dining environment wasn't especially comfortable, though it was tolerable. Were it not for those issues, I'd probably go with a full five stars here. I'll definitely be back. And I wish we could get a proper banh mi like these over in Winston (where no one even seems to know what pátê is, much less that it belongs on these sandwiches), because I'd be a frequent customer.

The staff were very friendly as we placed our order. They didn't have a huge menu, but what they did offer on the truck sounded good. I ended up getting the Gyro Pita with a side of fries. For being a pretty busy event, they were turning the food out quickly, and we only had to wait a few minutes. Everything came out hot, and tasted great. The gyro was packed with flavor, and sauce. It got a bit messy, but napkins were provided and it was well worth it. The fries were perfectly cooked with a good crunch on the outside, and great texture on the inside. They were also perfectly seasoned. I'm looking forward to trying more of their food soon, maybe at one of the locations next time!

The drink machine and utensils area were tidy. Overall the appearance of this location was tidy. I ordered the chicken bowl and grabbed a sweet tea. The pickles in this and sauce drizzled atop weren't a great addition. The bowl was bland, the pickled onions were good and crunchy. However bearing the bottom of the bowl it had little to no flavor on the chicken. The thinly sliced chicken appeared compacted in the bowl and all other ingredients were simply tossed in the bowl. This was unfortunately not an appetizing meal or experience. I'm Not certain that I'd want to try any other items.
