Wow! What a great surprise! I found this place on Yelp and based on reviews figured I would give…read moreit try. My favorite part about road trips is the food and the places we stop at. Tiny place - no inside dining so depending on time of year you eat in your car or sit at tables outside. Well worth it either way. We got the fried fish platter with FF coleslaw and Mac and cheese as sides. Wow! The fish was perfectly seasoned and fresh and plentiful! I think the platters are priced perfectly based on the amount of food you get and the quality. We did get a cup of the crab chowder based on the sample we had - amazing-- but we were so full from the platter that we had to put it in our cooler to eat later at destination. Very friendly service and solid recommend. We may stop here on our way back to NJ. Sorry no pics- I dove right in

The place is designed to look like an old western saloon. Floors are wooden, entrance to a hotel in one corner, singing doors to the bar area in another spot... it's really quite funny. The place has never been very busy the three times I've been, but the service and food has surprisingly been purty darn swell! And a place that has Shiner Bock on tap is always good with me! mmm There are always lunch and dinner specials and it seems that various nights of the week karaoke and dancing are hosted. There's a good mix of food, from fish to steak entrees, sandwiches of all types to burgers. I highly recommend the open face turkey sandwich! Loaded with tender pieces of turkey smothered in gravy atop two large pieces of bread and accompanied by mashed potatoes and another side of your choosing. Costs under $10 and leaves you totally satisfied! Comfort food at its best I tell ya! The freshly baked homemade bread they serve up is really awesome! A whole round uncut loaf served piping hot... ahhh perfect crunchy outside and soft doughy inside. The bread alone is worth the trip! Next time you head to the Easter Shore and you find yourself on Rt 113 south of Rt 404, check out J W Pickles & Friends... I'm his newest pal!

I ordered their large (12") Italian with everything and, as you can see, it's got everything on it. It was very heavy and loaded. It was a little sloppy because the roll couldn't contain everything, but it was fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try another one of their subs. The people there are very nice, and the price was very reasonable compared to some other places around that area that I've tried. Definitely worth a look.
