Best customer service ever! This week my car broke down on my way to work from Easton, PA to Somerville, NJ. I initially called my usual garage in PA to have it towed all the way back home, but then I recalled that one of my co-workers here in Somerville used a local garage and they would actually come to the office and pick the car up and bring it back to the office when finished, which always impressed me. I asked my co-worker about them and she said it was Jersey Guy, so I gave them a call. While my usual mechanic was not going to be able to tend to my car until the next day, Alex at Jersey Guy said they could take care of it that day, so I cancelled my apt with my regular garage and had the car towed to Jersey Guy in Bound Brook. Boy, was I impressed with the service and the cost. They diagnosed and fixed the problem that very day, keeping me apprised throughout the day of how things were going, and the cost was extremely reasonable (my usual garage estimated a higher cost for the repair). Then at the end of the day, a mechanic named Matt came and picked me up at the office and took me back to the garage. But, the topper is that while fixing my car, they noticed something that hadn't been done properly by my regular mechanic and they offered to fix that problem for free the next day! Not only did they fix it for free, they came to my workplace and picked the car up and then brought it back a few hours later, and didn't charge me a dime. How can you possibly beat service like that? I can't say enough good things about Jersey Guy Automotive, I only wish I had discovered them a lot sooner. Jersey Guy is the best, Ive known him for almost 4 years. Hes always been a great person to call for advice on my cars. I buy and sell cars for a living and If I cant fix something myself He's always willing and able to help me with my needs and hes the only one I trust. I remember a few years ago I was on 206 in Hillsborough In a really bad snow storm n lost control of my Mazda spun out and hit a curb and up onto a snow bank. I was able to dig myself out and get back onto the road, but damage was done. I ended up needing a wheel bearing and axil from the hit. Alex was there to help me and even lent me his own personal car after a part broke and it was to late to order the part!! He made it possible for me to get to my prior arrangement!! Okay, so my wife's truck was in need of some serious maintenance - SERIOUS MAINTENANCE - we took it to Jersey Guy! Bottomline - I'm impressed! Very, very impressed! He saved our life! Sunday: My 2004 Honda starts sputtering - check engine lite starts flashing - Auto Parts store tells me DON'T DRIVE IT! So I had it towed to Jersey Guy...from Warren County.....ON A SUNDAY! Alex really helped me out after getting stuck in NJ on my way home to CNY. He told me what the procedure entailed, stuck to his quote, made my service a priority and did what he could to get me home to my family quicker than I thought possible. He is authentic and his care & concern for my situation was evident. He did a great job with the car and even asked that I check in once I got back home to make sure me & the car were safe! I had met the owner, Alex, a few year ago at another local shop. I'd ask him on the side about what he felt was the best plan of attack on a budget. He was and still is a straight shooter. No games or sales pitch. In the end, I'd look at his advice compared to what's recommended on forums and 9 out of 10 times he was dead on. I still have this 200,000mi BMW and now I can go directly to him. His rates are actually better anyway. Win-win, no brainier! read more

Alex is a very good mechanic. He fixed my 2005 Chrysler Town and country this past summer. I started out with just a cadalidic convertor and wound up with about six other major repairs, Alex took the time to help me without overcharging me. He called and advises you honesly and he doesnt try to rip you off by making you repair things that your car doesnt need. I am really happy that I switched mechanics and go to him now. read more

Just moved into Somerville and needed to get my brakes fixed. Go on google to find a nearby mechanic and Jersey Guy comes up and only as few blocks away from my house. Great, not so great turns out that he doesn't have a location in somerville like it says on his website. He only has a single location and pretends to have multiple. What a scammer! read more
