Oh well, I can't wait to come back next Spring when they open for the new season. This place serves the best soft serve ice cream. It's very creamy and delicious. They also serve pineapple Dole Whip that's equally creamy and flavorful. Walk up to the window and place your order. They serve you so quickly. Sit down on a clean picnic bench and linger while you enjoy your frozen treat. There are two different areas of picnic benches. You choose either on the side under the roof or out front as you watch the cars go by. The sign out front lets customers know the flavor of the day.

I remember coming here as a child…read morefrom time to time, and I similarly find myself doing the same nowadays since it is fairly close. Tasty Creme is a small ice cream shop located on Library Road in South Park, very close to the county line. There is a private parking lot, and outdoor seating. The ordering is in a small lobby, but other than that there is no indoor seating or other areas inside. It is open seasonally and closes for the winter. On this visit, we went on a Thursday night in June around 8:30 PM. There were a few other people there, but we did not wait long at all. We did not feel rushed, and were allowed to take our time to look around and order. I am always impressed with the selection that Tasty Creme has in terms of novelty and to-go items. There is a chest freezer that is always stocked with various goodies, sandwiches, pies, and other things. They even have dog treats made in there! It was not super crowded on this day, so we had some time to chat with the girls working. They were all so nice, offered some product suggestions, and overall very friendly. One of the girls was training, and we had the honor of being served her very first cone - which was great. We ordered a few things. I personally got a Small S'mores Flurry with Crunchies added - it was great! Ordered this after a suggestion from the girls who waited on us and glad that I did. Additionally, we ordered a premade dog treat, a Small Chocolate-Dipped Vanilla Cake Cone, and an Oreo Extreme Parfait. Everyone, including our dog, enjoyed their sweet treats. In terms of value, I have always thought this place was a little pricy. But, it really depends on what exactly you order. Also, I discovered on this visit that there is a slight discount offered when paying in cash. For all of our items, I believe it was around $17 with the cash discount applied. They do accept cards though! I would recommend this shop, especially with it being a local small business. The line is usually not long, and you can customize your order however you like. A classic soft-serve ice cream stand, which you really cannot go wrong with.

It's difficult to find good customer service but no matter who has waited on us here, they are always friendly and helpful. The employees are the typical younger people who are usually working the local ice cream establishments but what is unique is that they are all smiling, polite, clean and friendly so kudos to the staff here, you are appreciated! You really make a difference and stand out from some of the other ice cream shops. This is the perfect place to come for burgers and soft serve ice cream, although they have other food options and treats too. The burgers are made from local beef which may not matter to some but I love to support local! I always try their specialty burgers since they offer a unique flavor twist with different sauces, cheeses, and toppings (for example: fried onion straws, aiolis, egg, slaw, etc) You won't get just an ordinary burger at all. The fries are just the way I like them too, crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The ice cream never disappoints, I love trying their unique flavor options. The Belgian waffle sundae with strawberries is one of my favorites. It's great to have a casual food and ice cream shop that also has unique options. You never get bored with the same thing (unless you get "hooked" on a favorite that you can't stop ordering). One of the best things about this location is the outdoor seating options. There is a covered pavilion area with tables and also tables with umbrellas to keep your ice cream out of the sun so it doesn't melt as fast haha. Really, it's the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful day and some delicious food. The tables and benches are always clean and kept in good condition which is a big deal for me. Great job Tastyland crew! Two "paws up" from our pups too, they always enjoy their pup cups!

But when I looked up ice cream places in the area on Yelp, I saw a picture of a wildly large cone from here and this had to be the place. It turns out it was only a mile or two from where I was, and I can't believe I haven't found it sooner! I pulled in promptly when they were opening at 11:30 and the server was helpful and fast. I asked if that enormous cone was a size large and she said yes, so I ordered that in the rotating twist flavors of coconut and blueberry and also got a baby cup of vanilla soft serve for my dog, which for a baby cup was enormous. Together they were under $5. So fair! We went to sit in a nice covered patio area. There's a lot of outdoor seating space! While we were sitting, the place started to get busy with people coming for lunch as well as ice cream. They were ordering things like burgers and quesadillas from what looked like nice grill menu. At the prices here, I'm not surprised that I saw a couple of large families come to eat. I mentioned this to a friend who lives in the area and she never realized they have food. Maybe they don't publicize that on their socials enough and they should, everything very good. My ice cream was creamy and delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here.
