Sitting at separate tables with scrolling phones, one of the workers begrudgingly looks up and grunts, "Whada ya want?" Knowing you get more/better service with honey than vinegar, I went on to explain, "My wife just bought my two bean burritos and she said that you said the salsa was in the bag, but mine doesn't have any. Any chance I might get some," I said cheerfully. "No," She grunted again. Silence. Mmmm, first indication this was a spoof Mexican restaurant. Mexicans love to make you happy, and they don't grunt. And they have salsa. Can I buy some Salsa on the side?" "No," she now knows she has power over me. The spice that will turn a flat bean into magical morsel. And I'm getting no salsa. I concede, "Mmmmm, okay, I won't be back. Thank you." "Thank YOU," she lightened up and cracked a smile. Service 0 star, Food 1. They ain't no Delite in Tacotown when there's no salsa. They also offer a great variety of tacos, other traditional dishes, and drinks. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and overall a great place to eat. The only downside is the service at the register. The person taking orders was unfriendly, made us feel like we were asking obvious questions, and wasn't very efficient. It definitely takes away from what is otherwise an excellent dining experience.
