We specifically came to Jerome to stay at the Grand for the ghostly background we heard so much about! We were so excited- I was so so excited- until night time came and I was TERRIFIED to shut my eyes. Long story short I didn't fall asleep until 5am but NOTHING happened. I got into my head and lost a night of sleep. However, this hotel is amazing and so are the staff! Everyone that worked there was always really sweet and never got annoyed with having to keep telling us about the hotels spooky past. The hotel as a whole is very clean and so are the rooms. We stayed in a standard queen with a connecting bathroom and closet which was both convenient and creepy because the closet doesn't have light! Yes we slept with lights on, but hindsight it wasn't needed. Maybe the spirits took pity on me once they saw how scared I was. Really enjoyed my stay! read more

My finance and I have been wanting to take a trip to Jerome and stay at The Grand since we started dating in early 2019. I finally pulled the trigger and booked an overnight stay. Due to our work schedules, we went up on a weekday which I think worked in our favor as nothing was too busy the entire time we were there (the hotel, the restaurant, the shops in town). Here are some of the highlights of our stay: Check in/check out: I was originally told that guaranteed check in time was 4pm, but requested early check in over the phone the night before. The gentleman I spoke with put us down for noon. We got a phone call just as we were arriving in town and they had our room ready at 11am! They also gave us a noon check out time upon request (it's normally 11am) so all in all we got over 24 hours in the room. A major plus, in my opinion. Room: We stayed in Room 34 which was a valley view balcony room- definitely recommend! Moderately priced and we had an amazing view and were on the 3rd floor which is supposed to have the most spirit activity (if you're into that). Elevator: You have to try it at least once! I was a little bit nervous, but it was so much fun and felt just as safe as any modern day elevator. It was cool being able to see each floor as we passed it. Food: Definitely make plans to eat at Asylum Restaurant! It doesn't hurt to make a reservation especially on the weekend, but we had no problem getting a table with no wait. Check out my separate review on the restaurant with photos! There are also several delicious options just a short walk into town. Staff: I cannot say enough about the staff and the amazing job they did. From the front desk to housekeeping, they made our stay memorable. On our way out, my finance started a conversation with one of the housekeepers about the different rooms and she actually allowed us to walk through one of the Garden Rooms as well as the Grand Suite! She absolutely did not have to take time out of her day to do that, but she did and was an amazing little tour guide. We will absolutely be back to experience these rooms! Paranormal activity: We didn't see or hear anything "ghostly" during our stay here which was fine because that's really not why we came. We were aware of the history of the hotel, but were not actively seeking a paranormal experience. However....we were laying in bed when our lamp suddenly went out. We were a little spooked for a second until we realized that it had just come unplugged. We figured the bed knocked it out of the wall when we climbed in. I later read though that having bedside lamps and other appliances randomly unplugged is a common guest experience though so who knows? Maybe there was "someone" else there with us! Now...touring the Grand Suite (aka, the Surgery Room). THAT was something else! I am not big on ghosts and spirits, but I definitely felt something in the air change the second we walked in. It felt heavy and almost sad. Both my fiancé and I also smelled...something. It wasn't bad it just smelled different than the rest of the hotel. Like dust (they keep everything very clean so it wasn't that) or maybe even like cigar smoke? I can't quite put my finger on it, but if you are seeking a paranormal experience, definitely book the Grand Suite and do some exploring! read more

First things first.... Definitely haunted. Me & my boyfriend stayed in the grand suite. The grand suite is huge! It also has a different smell in the suite compared to the rest of the hotel. The smell isn't awful but it isn't pleasant either, to me it smelled like wet cat food. We stayed one night which was enough for me. The hotel is old & sit at the top of the town. I like that they have the original elevator. The staff was very friendly. We didn't eat at the asylum restaurant inside the hotel, we did decided to eat at the haunted hamburger down the street ( walking distance from the hotel) i would recommend. Our paranormal activity experience was enough for me to never want to experience again to say the least lol. Our first experience was my boyfriend placed his jacket on the couch in the main room. We both left the room to come back to it on the floor but no where near where if it were to have fallen off the couch. I took a video tour on my phone of our suite, later on you can see an orb following me around. Our tv in one of the rooms ( the room we decided to sleep in) turned on for me but went straight to the tv guide and the channels kept changing/ scrolling through the guide without me touching any of the remote buttons. I couldn't get the tv to work so i turned it off. My bf came in and i told him that I couldn't get the tv to work but told him what happend with the channels. He tried to get the tv to work, but it wouldn't for him. He turns the tv around to look to make sure everything was plugged in properly. He was shocked what he saw. Only one cord was plugged in and that cord happen to be completely fried! He said the tv should have never even turned on! At night I didn't sleep but my bf did. I heard footsteps outside our room in the hallway walking towards the kitchen area. I also heard a noise 4 different times about 30-40 mins apart from each other. The sound was a chime dinging on metal in increments of 5. The sound seemed like it was coming from our room or near our room. I also have a video of my bf turning our lights off in the room and the light above us kept flicking even though it was switched off completely. I kept that light on throughout the night, the next morning i turned off to see if it flickered again, nope only at night. Later on afrer we checked out of our room, come to find out there is a voice in the video i took of the flickering light. The voice isnt mine nor my bf's, the room was silent when I recorded that video. The video also shows the tv in the background ( off) but you can see the red light go out of focus while i think a spirit walked past. I wouldn't go back not because of the rooms/ staff or anything like that, just because it scared me enough to not want to experience that again. read more

Haunted...yes. Vintage...absolutely. Worth a stay? Yes. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are straight out of the 40s (minus the flatscreen). Comfortable bed, cool shower and great view. Everything about this place is vintage. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I do recommend it. I was expecting paranormal experiences, but I didn't really get any. The creepiest feeling was walking into the room itself. With an extremely long drawn out creaking door, the hallways glistening in haunted brilliance, an elevator from 1926 that makes you feel like saying "you'll never get me copper, see (Jimmy Cagney tone)"...it's well worth a visit. I took a lot of photos and didnt get anything that really sticks out. I got some things that I brushed off to the flash or a speck of dust, etc. But the strangest feeling was entering the room. I felt like I was being watched which doesn't say much unless your experiencing it. I felt a presence upon entering but once settled in i think the spirit left. I felt like they thought 'ok he's too easy'. When you check in there's a photo album with photos of spirit activity caught on camera. The photos are legit and intriguing to look at. What was scary to me was the map of the hospital and finding your room on there and what it was back in the day. For example when I checked out I looked at it only to realize I had stayed in the sanitarium. Had I found that out before I would have been more hesitant and fearful. The halls have a 'Shining' vibe to it. The elevator is truly one of a kind and fun to operate, and the room is creepy but enjoyable. One thing to mention...the doors. The doors are huge. It definitely has a hospital feel to it. They're extremely wide. Overall I recommend staying here when you visit. read more

I won't lie... I slept with the light and TV on! I love Jerome and have wanted to stay in the Grand Hotel for awhile. My husband made reservations for my birthday and we stayed for a night. The hotel is clean and the staff is really friendly. I thought they might be burnt out talking about the history and paranormal experiences constantly, but they were all so nice and willing to chat and share stories. They keep a log of guest experiences and old photos in the lobby. I made the mistake of reading them before going up to my room for the night. Eek! The lobby has gifts for purchase, soda, water and snacks. In the morning, you can grab a pastry and coffee. The room was clean. It had a TV (which I needed), cable and WiFi. I read a couple of reviews that indicated the furnishings were old and dingy - that was not the case. Of course, the furniture is antique - but I would be disappointed if it wasn't. The elevator is the coolest part. It's not automated - you pull the doors open yourself and have to use your key to move up and down. Apparently a maintenance man was murdered under the elevator in the 1930s! (cue spooky music) The staff is happy to tell you the story. I will warn you, this is an old building. The walls are thin and lots of people "ghost hunt" at night, so you may experience some noise. The creeks and groans are probably normal, but spooked me a little given the history. Because it's an older building, you aren't going to get the same amenities you would in a recently built Holiday Inn - but that's not why you stay at the Jerome Grand Hotel. It's a little pricey but worth the experience. This place books quickly in peak Arizona tourist season and almost two years in advance for Halloween, so make your reservations early. read more

Ok so after an hour of reading all of the reviews for this place, I was dumbfound and disappointed. Yes, I agree most of them were full of knowledge of the history of the Hospital/Grand Hotel due largely to social media, TV shows, and reviews. That's a good thing! But my experience is completely different. I had no knowledge of the paranormal activity on goings or social media/TV information on this place. All I knew of Jerome was that my grandfather was a copper miner and was injured in the mines when there was a partial collapse that sent many a men to the hospital for attention. Many perished, some healed and others scarred for life. The first time I went to Jerome was in 1994, (same time the Grand Hotel was waiting for the Grand Opening) when I did the Jerome Histological Museum and saw many photos of the copper miners and there in several photos was my grandfather, at first I thought it was my father, but knew he was just a child during that time. I wanted more information. At that time, I was directed elsewhere to find out more. Then the museum and parks closed due to budget costs and most memorabilia was lost during transportation to the holding site, and some never were cataloged. Now I have finally found some photos from the histological archives and can see the wonder of Jerome. I did return to Jerome two years later after the Grand Hotel had opened. My first experience of the hotel was when I first walked through the doors to the lobby; I was hit with a wave of pain, nausea, headache, it felt as though my leg and arm were being sawed off and I couldn't stand. It was fast and painful. I grabbed onto the check-in counter to hold myself up. The staff were aghast with how I looked, they said I was sweating and going pale and looked so pained. They had me sit down and drink water. That's when I noticed the guests books on the counter. So I started reading through them. Wow, the experiences people had here was so overwhelming and interesting I sat there trying to read as many as I could (about 10 mins) before I had to walk outside of the building and sit. After a couple of mins being outside that pain, nausea, headache all went away. Hubby decided to go in and take as many pictures as he could and to check out the place. We do go back every couple years, and yes as usual I get the pain and suffering of others so I can only stay in the hotel for a few minutes at a time. But we go to see it when we have out of stators come to visit and I stay outside or walk around as they tour the hotel. I advise anyone who goes, please take the time to stop and read the guest books, great stories and not the ones you see on social media/TV show......but actual personal experiences....and who knows, you may run across my story as well! read more

I have been wanting to stay here for so long. I wanted to come for the haunted history, but the place itself was so worth the stay. We decided to stay in the 'grand suite', and that it is! I mean, you have two master suites, a queen size Murphy bed, two living room areas, a full kitchen, a piano, a foyer, the list goes on! Everything was clean and the staff were absolutely awesome! They answered so many of our teens' questions and told them lots of history on the place, even printing out a few articles on it for them! We, unfortunately, had no paranormal activity, and we tried. We brought all our ghost hunter stuff, but nothing. Also, unfortunately, we stayed on a Tuesday, which is literally the only day the Asylum restaurant is closed, but we knew that when we booked it. The continental breakfast was above and beyond what a normal one is. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't leave a review without mentioning the old time elevator. It was so cool and in perfect running condition. The view from the hotel is spectacular and I just can't rave enough about this place. The grand hotel is a somewhere i have been wanting to come and stay overnight for a long time. Located up on the hill in Jerome, this place definitely needs to be added to the bucket list. The place itself gives off vibes from The Shining but adds to the experience of it all. COVID precautions are in place and staff is very friendly in answering questions and also adhering to precautions. I love that the original elevator to the hotel is still in use which adds to the charm amongst other things. Check in was a breeze and they even offered a small continental breakfast in the morning which was perfect. The views were also another treat of this place. Looking out into the valley, this offered awesome photo opportunities. I enjoyed my overnight experience and was glad I did not see anything too spooky. Our stay was AWESOME ! We only stayed for 1 night but the guy who checked us in on 8/22 was kind, helpful and had good vibes. The overnight gal who worked was super cool and we had fun chatting with her and a local sheriff. The hotel itself is maintained very well. Room was very clean and comfortable. The AC was so cold but adjustable and I like AC. The morning receptionist when we checked out on the 23rd was so sweet and had a great demeanor. We wandered the halls checking out the antiques and slept in their comfortable bed. Loved the pillows. I've always wanted to stay here at this hotel and finally had a chance and loved every minute. It was an interesting night stay. As soon as I entered the room, I got the chills. The room I had use to be a baby nursery, it smelled like baby powder. Lots of info for a first timer inside: We stayed in the Deluxe Guest room facing the Verde valley, room number 10. It holds up to 4 guests as there is a bed and a Murphy bed as well. The staff at The Jerome Grand are all so kind and helpful. Prior to our stay, Dana called me to confirm head count and stay, then asked if anyone in the party is military, veteran, teacher, etc. I let her know I'm a teacher and we have a veteran in our party, she put in a note to give me a discount right off the bat! Our room was ready for check in over 4 hours before our original check in time which was really great. They send you a text to let you know. There is free parking on the premises itself, but parking is LIMITED! It was a bit of a pain but we managed. You can use any of the "Pay to Park" spots all around the shops as well- it is $5 for all day and you can park in any of them throughout the day to get around if you choose not to walk everywhere. The hotel is a very old building, with that comes a feel of the past and small rooms. While rooms are pricey, you pay for the history, the popularity and the area. As a person who loves everything history related, I loved that the building is old, holds so much history and has old items including the elevator! The elevator glass is original, we were warned to be careful not to let it slam when opening and closing it. It was so cool to ride in such an old elevator. Our room was right next to the Asylum Restaurant where employees go in & out of, so it was pretty noisy until a while after closing time. We understood completely. The room was very clean! It has a fridge with a freezer, a microwave, a tv (which is not in the greatest spot) and all your bathroom needs as far as soaps, conditioner and lotion. We were well stocked on towels and toilet paper. We found out that our room was the Physical Therapy room, and they gave us a list of all the rooms and what they used to be which was really cool to keep. We explored the hallways, which was interested. The ice machine is on the 3rd floor and there's a random scale in it and the room smells funky. But overall we enjoyed our stay. A side note- the walls are thin between rooms. We had a group of girls next to us and at ~2:30 am till nearly 5, they were loudly talking, laughing, rummaging through the closet moving hangers, just overall being inconsiderate to those in rooms next to them. It kept all of us awake. This by no means is the hotels fault at all- just something that guests should know ahead of time! read more

I had tickets to see Bobby Weir and the boys at Shoreline today. But it's raining. It's still raining. It's never going to stop raining. I'm a little depressed. To make myself feel better I squinched my eyes tight and imagined a place I'd rather be. I decided I'd rather be at The Grand. SF Bay Area Yelpers are a Sedona-ish crowd, I'd guess. Maybe with a little South Rim thrown in. Not hatin. Chances are reasonable that they'll have flown in, maybe to Phoenix. Loveys, if this is you I'm talking about, if you're thinking of an Arizona getaway to assuage your waterlogged sensibilities, check this out - a little ways south of the turnoff to Sedona are signs for Clarkdale. Take this turn. Head west. Forget about Sedona. Near Clarkdale is Tuzigoot, a magical little Anasazi destination. To the south, watching over the Verde Valley high in its aerie, is the Jerome Grand. Visit Tuzigoot, then head up the hill to The Grand. The hotel sits above the small mining village reinvented as a very cool local arts colony. Originally a mining hospital, the Grand was rehabilitated itself in the mid-1990s after decades of neglect. When I stayed there years back whist on another of the wonderful work assignments the top floor, the operating theater, was off limits. I hear they've turned that into a penthouse suite. Thank you, I won't be staying in that suite. You see, the Grand is quite haunted, and rumor had it the top floor had some of the strongest spirit energy in the joint. Every once and again I'm a tuning fork for this kind of energy and while on occasion I'll go looking for a vibration to stick my fork into maybe the third floor would just be looking for trouble. As it was, in my tidy comfortably appointed room, in the middle of the night I woke to somebody whispering my name. And it wasn't a traveling companion. When I turned in that night I was alone. Three times I heard my name and by the last I was wide awake with the hair on my neck out as if rubbed by a balloon. I shared the story with the ladies at the desk the next morning (a glorious Arizona morning, high on a cliff above the Verde Valley, by the way, should be on everybody's bucket list) and they smiled, asked me my room number, and nodded. Oh yes, you stayed in #13. That happens in #13. And off I went, full of smiles and coffee, tuning fork still aquiver, my truck full of carved wind I had gotten from the art co-op in town. Overall, we left disappointed. The hotel no longer offers tours which we didn't know. They said we can self tour, but what fun is that? We wanted to learn the stories. I guess if you want a tour you have to book one of the external tours? The hallways upstairs were bare. I think only 1 floor (the third of course) had old medical/hospital objects on display. The rest of the floors were pretty much empty. It would be great if they could obtain more historical objects for the other floors or do something a bit more. I did like how the rooms felt very original inside. You certainly felt like you were in a hospital. We came the first weekend of November (right after Halloween). It was cold so bring warm clothes! The rooms were cold even with heat and the beds were not comfortable. The restaurant was way overpriced and the food was average. I mean, really average. That was disappointing. I don't mind paying more for a great place but I think they capitalize on the fact that it's the only convenient place and it's part of the haunted hotel. We asked the staff about stories or what that part of the building was before and we got "I don't know". Really? For best guest experience you would think it would be a requirement to know the history. I seriously think he knew less than I did. Haunted experience? Sure. I saw a light orb floating above a table in the restaurant and disappearing into the ceiling. I saw a shadow in my room on the top floor and heard dishes twice in the night. I'm not one to hear things and see things and I'm rather skeptical. It's possible the sound of shifting dishes weren't "haunted", but from where we were in the building there's no way on earth that the sound came from the kitchen. If you've been to the building you would know how impossible it is for the top floor on the other side of the building to hear kitchen noise. The building is concrete lol. And yes, it could have been another room beside us, but at 1:30am and 3am that seems a bit unlikely. Who knows, maybe someone was hungry. But that's all. Like I said, overall disappointment. Before you read this review, you should know that I am a ghost hunter. Not a professional ghost hunter, because I have no equipment or experience, but I am a professional amateur ghost hunter. I visited this hotel along with my team of non-certified ghost hunters (my wife and two friends) in order to see if we could once and for all solve the murder of Tom Blanchenchip and also to enjoy the town of Jerome and the beautiful scenery. The first thing you should know about this hotel is that it is one of the most haunted locations in the world. This building was originally a hospital for the miners and the insane townsfolk of Jerome, and over 6,000 people died in this very building, lending their tortured souls to the black shroud of mystery and terror that surrounds it. The second thing you should know about this hotel is that they have a restaurant on site, and that there are many local eatery options within walking distance, so food isn't going to be a problem for you. Upon arriving at the hotel, we witnessed a ghostly figure at the front desk, who offered to check us in and gave us the key to our room. The apparition directed us toward an old rickety elevator which mysteriously rose from the ground and delivered us to the third floor, powered by some unknown force. We stayed in the Grand Suite on the third floor, which I do NOT recommend. The room is obviously haunted, as most of the power outlets do not work - clogged by ghostly emanations. Additionally, the Grand Suite has a 'theater' room, with a nice sized TV mounted on the wall, and a DVD player. Unfortunately, a ghost had stolen all of the cables, so we were unable to use the theater room during our stay. The ghostly staff did their best to find a cable for us, but being so remote, it didn't happen. Overall, the hotel has a degree of authenticity, in that there are a lot of antiques (which you aren't supposed to touch), and the layout of the building is such that some of the rooms you can stay in equate to surgery rooms and the like, and the old elevator is seriously cool, but it also lacks some modern niceties. Like I don't need the experience of being in an old bathroom from before they invented shower curtains that didn't cling to you while you were trying to shower - that part doesn't need to be authentic. It was a good place to stay to experience Jerome, but I'll check out some other options before returning to the Grand Hotel. read more

To preface my review, we love anything and everything paranormal and spooky, and given this hotels history, we knew we had to visit. We reserved a 2 queen bed room for 4 people, and the space was very accommodating. The room had its own thermostat, which for the age of the property was a nice bonus. We ended up staying in what was formerly the X-ray room. We have a bunch of ghost hunting equipment that helps us detect paranormal activity and presence around us, so we set a bunch of it up in the room. I will say we did get some interactions, but nothing truly terrifying. We noticed something/someone really liked the bathroom and the kitchen area, as it would interact with our equipment only in those spots. We also caught a Live Photo of a small dark shadow entering the bathroom, and upon discussion with the lady in the lobby, she mentioned it might've been the ghost of a cat that lingers around the property. We found this very comforting. We also had some interactions down in the dining area of the lobby. Late at night around midnight, we were actively (but also quietly and respectfully) conducting some of our own investigations in the halls of each floor, then we went down to the lobby as well. The employee at the time was talking to us about some of the other paranormal experiences that both she and other guests had reported. While we were talking about the ghost of Gurthie, a woman who passed and lost her baby, we heard what sounded like a doorknob jiggling. It sounded like it was coming from the bathroom of the dining area, however upon further investigation, realized the bathroom was empty and the sound was coming from the pipes. Altogether it felt almost like the ghost was trying to let us know she was with us and heard us talking about her, and she is regularly sighted on the floor she passed on. If spooky hunting is your thing, I definitely recommend you check this place out! Without our equipment, we wouldn't have experienced much outside of the jiggling we heard in the lobby, but with equipment it was a blast! We had REMPOD interactions, cat ball interactions, spirit box responses, and even think we caught something on our EVP in the ice room. We also caught a photo of the spirit in our room, as mentioned above. I'd definitely like to stay here again, although I would want to book Gurthie's room! read more

My wife and I head out to our timeshare in Sedona twice a year and have started kicking our trips off with a day and night in Jerome. Having been going to Jerome since the early 90's, it's certainly grown into a quaint little town with lots of great restaurants, shops and wine tasting rooms. At the hotel, we usually rent one of the balcony rooms because we love waking up to the sun shining over the Verde Valley and into the French door in the room; however, this trip we ended up booking the grand suite which was quite an experience. Huge room/s, full kitchen, movie entertainment room and even a washer and drier. I highly recommend the Jerome grand hotel and we always look forward to our next stay. BTW- I highly recommend the Asylum restaurant downstairs. read more

my and my group walked up after a night out exploring this beautiful town, we drove 27 hours to come see this town and stay at this hotel, and were treated poorly by this very short and angry woman working at the front desk. we did not feel welcomed at all by the workers at this facility, maybe it's the bad spirits in this town that have possessed the physical presence of the very small woman working here, but if you're looking for somewhere comfortable to stay while in town, i'd recommend anywhere else read more

11/1 @ 3am Anticipation hoping to see something or something to happen. Set my alarm for 3 am. Went outside my room and took a picture of the clock in the hallway. Then took a tour on all 3 floors. I had a friend video recording me as I took pictures. Went home to review all my pictures and caught a few images. 2 pictures were completely black. Then I zoomed in. You can really see an image. Please tell me what it is. Not a good feeling. The picture look demonic. Totally did not expect this. read more

Really cool Bar to grab a drink with plenty of fine offerings to match the haunted stories. The gift shop downstairs was unique as the elevators left right off the shop. Worth climbing the stairs up to as parking is a bit of a challenge! read more

Historic & elegant hotel with updated bathrooms. Definitely splurge for the balcony view, it is amazing. Friendly staff. Very cool old elevator. Parking is free, which is great for Jerome, since the entire town is within walking distance from the hotel, but bring your hiking shoes! read more

The good: The food in the Asylum restaurant was outstanding and so was the service. The hotel was cleanly. The location, and exterior of the hotel are beautiful and the views are breathtaking. The bad: I paid $300 on a Wednesday night in the slow season for our accommodations in "The Grand Hotel" and felt pretty darn disappointed. People pay to stay there for ONE reason..... the lore around it being "HAUNTED"..... which is fascinating. That said, the hotel is NOT "Grand" in any way. In fact, extensive remodeling would be required to bring the accommodations up to the level of a 2-star Motel 6 or a Days Inn which costs about 1/3rd the price in neighboring Sedona. The place had the ambiance of rural hotel in the 70s. The owner of this place must be making HUGE ENORMOUS profit on this place. It's clear he or she hasn't invested a penny in updates since they converted it from a 100 year old hospital into a Hotel back in 1976. Please do the right thing and refurbish this place. It can be nice pleasantly updated and still retain the "haunted appeal" all at the same time. read more

I LOVE this hotel. It has a character and ambiance that can't be beat. The staff is so helpful, kind and friendly, it made this such a nice experience. We stayed in the Garden Suite, the views were phenomenal, watching such a gorgeous sunsets and sunrises..... The room was exceptionally clean and well cared for. The bathroom spotless,the bed was so comfortable and their free breakfast has just about anything you could name. The halls have many vintage and antiques that help add to the mystique and history. Be sure to check out the gift shop! I will be making many more trips to Jerome, this will always be my choice. The energy.....the clean, beautiful rooms.....the views.... ...I wish I was there now! Nice old hotel. We stayed in 37A which has an enclosed balcony and sitting area. Prices are reasonable. Room seemed to get hot even in November. Staff is very nice and helpful at the hotel, not the restaurant. I recommend eating elsewhere. I came for the experience and got what I wanted out of it. Jerome in general is weird. Wish they still offered tours of the hotel. Worth the trip though. Moving on. read more

This is a historical building that maintained its beauty and catered to the adventurous individual. Its very comfortable and very well maintained. The room is equip with old fashion radiator that uses steam so be careful not to burn yourself or overheat the room. But it sure warmed up the room quickly. The front desk staff were all so friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had varieties of fresh baked goods, delicious coffee and decent choices of tea. They also include healthy packaged snacks to go! We stayed at room 22 - ghost experience in the room? No. But when 12:00 am struck, outside the room was very interesting. Too many noises and activities went on even if the hallway was empty. So for a ghost lover, it was fun. Hotel situated perfectly and a walking distance to the town. No hassle with parking. Next time I visit, i will want to make sure we book room 22, 26 or 32 to experience the supernatural inside the room. read more

I know everyone likes Prescott and Sedona, but if you want to get to know a real fun, unique AZ town, get to Jerome. The people are all so friendly and love to have visitors. So much history there and they have left most of it up. This hotel in particular is fantastic. Staff is friendly and ready and willing to make suggestions of where to go in town. We even saw the ladies who checked us in at the Haunted Hamburger when we went there for dinner. We stayed in the Grand Suite and had a grand time! Lots of room for us to spread out and enjoy family time. Room was clean and the beds were fantastic. My brother has a bad back and he said it was one of the few hotel beds that didn't bother his back. Sadly no ghosts visited us but we met a couple on the elevator who downloaded an app that is supposed to pick up on spirits. So we may try that next time we visit. Treat yourself and stay off the beaten path and enjoy a non chain hotel. They have so much more to offer! read more

This place is amazing. Got the Deluxe garden room. Balcony/garden room was so relaxing. Room was nice, especially considering the age of tje building. Staff was amazing. The Asylum restaurant has great food and friendly staff as well. Lots of paranormal activity in the room and outside. Great experience. Will be back!!! read more

Went with my mom, aunt and brother. Had an end room which was very spacious with a balcony which has amazing views. The old time elevator was awesome to be in. Little bit eerie but had no negative experience at all. Enjoyed a baked Brie plate in the restaurant which was delicious. Free continental breakfast in the morning was nice to have. I would stay here again! read more
