    Swedish meatballs!
    Janet M.

Stopped into this place on a whim, was hungry from walking the Christmas market in Gamla Stan. Cosy decor, no wait but tables were almost full. Staff is lovely with simple self ordering. I had the Swedish meatballs and they were simply AMAZING! The potatoes were executed perfectly, and the small salad, lingonberries, and buttered bread were homemade and very delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for handmade traditional Swedish food in the area for a treat at a great price.

A little place with a big menu! Even though it fits at most 20-25 people, it has a large variety of drinks, sweets and sandwiches. The staff is friendly and relaxed. The decor, antique and cosy. I warmly recommend a visit for a good afternoon fika, for those who like a quieter and even inspirational environment. It is gamla stan afterall!

After having a not so great dining experience at a nearby restaurant within the Gamla Stan area of Stockholm, I joined up with another group of people in my travel party to get some Swedish Meatballs at this place. We chose this place because the past reviews were slightly better. The Swedish Meatballs were pretty good. The gravy had a great savoury flavour that I was looking for. The lingonberries were also tasty with a nice, but slight juicy sweetness balanced by the warmness of the mashed potatoes. It was also nice that they added in a salad on the side. As for the price, I paid less than 200 SEK, so the prices were not too bad. The service was pretty quick, so we didn't have to wait for too long. One plate of Swedish Meatballs should be enough for a decent lunch for the rest of the afternoon. Overall, if you are looking for some tasty Swedish Meatballs at a reasonable price in an outdoor setting in the Gamla Stan area of Stockholm, this is probably a good choice. I don't think it is the best place for Swedish Meatballs in the city of Stockholm, but it's still pretty good in a very touristy area like the Gamla Stan.

    Cozy and Lovely place.

Food was decent but the wait staff were not only unfriendly, they're down right rude! Find a place more worth of your business!

Currently the best breakfast place in Gamla Stan. A little pricy but nice staff, tasty sandwiches and good coffee.

Cozy little place tucked between other eateries in the blink-and-you'll-miss-it fashion so typical for Gamla Stan Stockholm.

The Cafe in the hotel was fantastic and convenient and offered a wonderful breakfast. The staff were also very kind. What we didn't love: apartment 5 was on the first floor and was very very loud. We heard delivery trucks coming in as early as 4:30 in the morning every day. We heard Tour groups walking right by our window every day at all hours of the day. If we opened the windows, the noise was very very loud. There was also a clock from the Stockholm church that rang 24 hours a day every 15 minutes. The bed in the apartment was two small Narrow beds pushed together. Unfortunately the shower did not drain and caused a lot of flooding in the bathroom every time we bathed. Anytime we used the bathroom automatic lights would turn on which would light up the entire apartment because there was glass around the bathroom near the ceiling. There was no way to control this. The lights would stay on for five minutes. There was a smell in the apartment that was similar to kitty litter which we were told was likely from the drains in the sink. Lastly a fire alarm went off one morning time is the fire alarm go off at 4:30am---we didn't hear this initially because we had earplugs on. Once we heard it we called the front desk staff and sadly they didn't answer---prompting us to get dressed and run across the street to notify them. One of the perils of wearing earplugs so you can sleep!! If you are assigned to apartment 5 we recommend ear plugs and a sleep mask over your eyes any time you attempt to sleep, flipflops for the shower as you will be soaked in water on the floor, a candle to freshen up the smell in the unit, and fans to try and remove the smell from the unit. This unit may be ideal for someone hard of hearing or deaf. Enjoy!!
