Things only got worse from there. We waited over an hour just for an order of fried green tomatoes and then another 45 minutes with still no entrées. Meanwhile, tables that arrived after us were being served their food. They even served my daughter a bottled sodas with no ice. When we finally spoke to the manager, there was no empathy, and no effort to make things right. Instead, we were told the other guests had arrived before us, which wasn't true. To make matters worse, we were still charged for our drinks and appetizer after sitting there for nearly two hours and never receiving our meals. As someone who works in complaint management, I am truly appalled by the lack of accountability and ownership that was shown. Mistakes happen, but how you respond to those mistakes speaks volumes about your organization. A "sincere"apology, empathy, and a willingness to make things right can go a long way. Unfortunately, none of that was demonstrated, which made an already disappointing experience even worse. It's not always the issue itself that leaves a lasting impression, it's how people choose to handle it.
