I got the special today - 2 chicken chimichangas, and they were really good! It came with beans and rice, a little bit of salad and some avocados all in this little container. Really quite a bit of food for $7.75! Only suggestion for improvement was that they only have forks to give out, and you really did need a knife to cut the chimichangas, or just use your hands. Fortunately I brought it back to my place of work where I had all kinds of utensils.

There are some tables and chairs nearby along Mason Street by the river so you don't necessarily have to take lunch back to your desk. There is always a line and that's a good thing. They were pretty busy, which I generally take as a good sign, but I had to wait about 10 minutes for my burger. Not bad of a wait really. They called my name and presented me with my burger and fries. It looked great! I hurried by to my office, eating the delicious fries along the way. They were crispy, hot, salty, with just enough chives that you knew they were there but they didn't overpower. I dug into the burger as soon as I sat down. It was fantastic! The burger was cooked to a perfectly pink medium. The bacon jam was amazingly flavorful! I have no idea what burger sauce is but it was great. The lettuce and tomatoes were nice and fresh too. The sesame bun was nicely toasted and the cheddar cheese was nice and melty. I liked that the bun held up well and didn't fall apart while I was eating it. I was in burger heaven! Being a brand-new restaurant, the interior is understandably still being established. It's pretty plain at the moment and doesn't have a ton of atmosphere or a defined "vibe" yet. The setup follows the traditional Texas BBQ style where you make your way down the line and order your meats and sides as you go. First and foremost, though, the service here is second to none. Tom, Mary, and the entire team make you feel like family from the moment you walk through the door. Everyone we've interacted with has been incredibly kind, generous, attentive, and genuinely happy to have you there. I cannot say enough good things about the people running this place. That kind of hospitality is hard to teach. As for the BBQ, prices are fair, especially for the quality and portions. The pork belly bites are good- very flavorful with the fat rendered properly. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is another standout. It has a nice bite, great texture, and plenty of flavor throughout. The pulled pork was very good as well. It's tender, moist, and rendered well, though I think it could handle a little heavier seasoning to really make it pop. The spare ribs were great- very tender with great smoke and flavor. The brisket was also very tender, though ours leaned a little dry and could have used more seasoning. Still a solid brisket and certainly something I'd order again. We've tried several of the sauces as well. The house BBQ sauce is excellent, and the mustard BBQ is another winner. The peach tea BBQ is definitely unique and worth trying, though it was a little too sweet for me and could use some additional depth to balance it out. They also have bottled and canned beer and soda, along with a self-serve water station. All in all, we're extremely happy to have Tom's Smokehouse in the Hubertus area and will likely become regulars. There are a few minor areas where the food and atmosphere can continue to develop, but this is also a brand-new restaurant finding its footing. For only being open a short time, they are off to a fantastic start and have a lot to be proud of. Street in Milwaukee. The Eleven25 location primarily sells hot or take-n-bake pizzas and fresh sandwiches. I think you'll currently get a better idea of their cooking skills from the food truck. The menu offers a handful of items, with most being seafood dishes, but there non-seafood options, as well as desserts. I enjoyed their lobster roll at the NEWaukee Night Market last summer, and recently LOVED their lamb gyro and crab cakes! They use actual lamb shoulder for the gyro instead of the strips of processed meat you typically get at a gyro joint. The lamb is tender and perfectly seasoned! The crab cakes are made with claw meat and they were perfectly crisp and delicious! I capped off the most recent meal with a slice of their key lime pie, and it exceeded my expectations. The pie crust is a bit fragile on the side, so it may detach from the pie filling when you get close to it, but the flavor and texture are right on! Now, I have their Mahi Mahi tacos and Reuben on my to-do list, based on the rave reviews I've seen on social media, but the menu changes often, so I hope I can keep up!
