Jergel's is a really decent live music venue with fantastic sound. They get some big names of nostalgia booked and that means the place gets crowded. There is an upper balcony but if you're like me, you like being right in the thick of the action at the stage. The only problem is that it can be a hike from the city and not a fun drive after a late night of music and dancing. Definitely too far to drink. The food is pretty good too. Jergels is a nice music venue right off route 79, at the Warrendale exit. They are conveniently located for people in Pittsburgh and in Eastern Ohio. There is a nice stage with plenty of room to dance, and the sound & the lighting is generally good. Certain bands play way too loud so especially for opening acts it's good to have your ear plugs handy. You can pay for early entry to any of their shows which guarantees you a table for dinner. Typically if you arrive at 6 PM which is doors for most shows, you will be able to find a seat at their very large bar. You can only get a table if you pay the extra money and get in at 5:30. Service at the bar can be hit or miss. This time around our first bartender was very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, someone else took over for her and we never got another refill on soda or even asked if I wanted another beer... They simply just came and took our glasses away without even asking mid-show. If you wanna get something to eat, I recommend you get to the venue by seven or 730 at the latest for 8 PM shows so that you don't have to wait so long for your food to arrive. As I said in my previous review, I've been coming to the venue since they opened in 2012. This is the first time that I've actually eaten something there for a while and my husband and I were actually both pleased with our food this time. He ordered the Pittsburgh salad and added grilled chicken, and I had the chicken quesadilla. Both were pretty big portion sizes and everything was fresh. My chicken quesadilla was actually even better than I expected and the chicken inside was spicy so if you don't like spicy stuff, you may not have liked it, but it was actually quite flavorful. They have a full bar and quite a few beers on tap. For sold out shows they also open the upstairs bar and upstairs surrounding balcony area, which is a great vantage point for viewing the stage below. There is also a cigar bar at this venue. And they have a nice covered outdoor patio complete with fire pits. There is a large parking lot, which is free. Mostly tribute bands play here, but they do have some older national acts that come through as well. They also have a weekly bike night. read more

Great service, drinks and food! We went there for a concert and got the early entry and I'm so glad we did! We got a perfect table in the back corner that worked out perfectly for our group. We got to have dinner before the show and have everything cleaned up by the time the concert started. The staff is so professional that I feel it's made the performers that much more comfortable and confident to put on a great show! Plenty of parking in the back and it was super easy to get in out of the venue. Nice for a night out when the weather is cold. read more

Went to see Restless Road tonight. I saw them in 2022. And became a bigger fan. The venue overall was good, although my meal came out about 10 minutes after my friends. But our server Austin was attentive and good. The opening act Sacha was good and got the very small crowd going. The 1st time we saw Restless Road the crowd was packed. But today was smaller, and we assume it is because of inflation and time of year. Restless Road did a great job performing. And there was even a propsal during the show. However, they only performed for about an hour. They had more songs they could play. And the people who showed up were there for them and wanted to support them. They did not do a meet and gteet like last time. We are your hometown Zach, show us respect. We are here for you. But not if you disrespect us. read more

I enjoy live music so definitely like having a variety of venue options available in the Pittsburgh area. However, Jergel's leaves some things to be desired for sure. The actual music they do a good job on. A wide array of shows. The sound is usually pretty great. They even do some "customer appreciation" nights with free acoustic shows. I would say my biggest complaint about Jergel's is that they aren't really "accessible" even though they claim to be. If you have health reasons that require you to have a seat they recommend you buy an early entry ticket, so you must spend more. You can also contact them to arrange seating. They will only save you a seat if you are in a wheelchair. If you use a cane or crutches or simply can't stand you are out of luck. Even with them saving you a seat they state you need to arrive before general admission entry begins. It may not always be possible to show up (typically 3 hours) before the show starts. Forget schedule or traffic... some people with health issues would struggle with that long of an outing. These rules don't make Jergel's seem accessible or welcoming. I have attended concerts at so many other venues and none make the process this difficult to get accessibility accommodations. Other than that I do feel the menu could use some more variety. They don't often get new options for beer and often have out of season on draft. The food menu is also fairly limited, especially for those who have dietary restrictions. read more

The food and drinks were TERRIBLE!!!! Go for the music and beer. We ordered chicken nacho, they were cold! They brought them back 2 more times. Still cold!! Ordered an espresso martini from their menu, also TERRIBLE. The Manager, Tammy told me to go to the cigar bar for a good mixed cocktail and that liquid cheese cools quickly. WTAF. Was charged $18 for the nachos and $15 for the martini. Both of which we left pretty much untouched. I will never eat or get a cocktail from here again!! BEWARE!!! $33.00 rip off. Fun Local venue for live music , getting out & having fun with friends. They are supportive & involved in the community. We have seen national know talent( Berlin) , cover bands(ELO tribute show - USA) & many local groups. All music has been great. The staff works hard. Like many places since covid, they are a little short staffed. They do have a food menu of typical bar food. Drinks are good & and the Beer list is average. First timer to Jergel's to see Mac NcAnally. Super cozy seating on the left of the venue. We had early entry so we snagged a table in the area near the stage. The middle area gets crowded with people, standing room only. The acoustics were great with the sound crisp and clear. Austin was our waiter & he was amazing. Checked on us all through the night. This place has horrible management, the bartender charged my credit card the legit amount for 4 drinks and nachos, then the next day I had an additional 76.17 added to my credit card even though I only purchased 4 drinks 2 beers and nachos. I contacted them, and left 3 detailed messages with my return info to resolve the unauthorized charges, nobody has ever returned my calls. Now I have to file a police report for fraudulent charges on my card because of their horrible mismanagement. Great venue, just don't give the bartenders your credit card, pay cash for your tab.. read more

I have only been here one other time before in the Cigar section. This time, I was attending a concert. The concert began around 8:00pm. My friend and I arrived at 6:45pm and were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar on the main floor. We sat there and ordered food and drinks. Each of the bartenders were very sweet and were sure to keep us satisfied. The food did take a while to come out. One of the bartenders apologized for the wait, but we did not mind! We ordered a Chicken Quesadilla with a side of Sweet Potato Fries as well as Pretzel Sticks with house made beer cheese. My friend said the quesadilla and fries were very good. I really annoyed the pretzels, but the cheese was a little flavorless. The vibes here were amazing. It is such a great spot to have concerts. There are also fire pits outside near the bar side. There is an upstairs section as well. There is another bar and more seating. I would love to watch a concert from this floor one time. If you have a chance, I suggest you try Jergels out. I've come here a few times to see smaller bands or tribute bands. It's always a good time. I usually just stick to basic drinks and don't get any food though. I've had a few of their specialty drinks from both the regular bar and the "speakeasy" - none are worth getting again. I've seen the food and it looks pretty basic. The 4 stars are for the music, the abundance of seating, the fact that there are TVs all around showing the stage, fairly priced drinks, and the good sound. Parking also hasn't been an issue for me each time I've come. I've always found an open spot in the lot. I'll continue to come here. I do wish the drinks would get better though, especially in their speakeasy bar. read more

We went there for my son's bands show and his wife saved us seats. I am 62 and have multiple health issues, as was explained to the manager, that prevents me from standing to watch the show. They told my daughter in law that saving seats was prohibited no matter what. Because of this my choice was to not be able to see the stage at all or leave. The show cost $88 for my partner and I. Over half of the seats in that place are situated so there is no view of the stage. You can listen to the music, but you can't see the show. If I cared to pay $75 more I could acquire a party table where I still couldn't see the stage, but I could see a television where they showed the stage. The setup in this place is terrible for seeing bands, especially if you are older or ill. You would think that a place owned by Donny Iris would be more band friendly. Why in the world would I want to pay $165 to see my son's band on tv? Oh, and while sitting at seats just to eat for two hours the waitress never came around to ask us for our order. Oh and, because I have eaten there before, I know that their food is not great anyhow. read more

We came for the "Baby's okay that's really showing my age!! The place is really unique, clean and friendly. Jergel's has layers of places to listen, dance and see the various performers that perform here. There is something for everyone. Check out the website !! What I didn't care for was the food. What a shame. The burger just had to much salt on it for my taste. The fries aren't hand-cut. Our server was really sweet but she forgot part of our order and o we charged us for two beers that weren't very good. The ticket came with two beers. If you could only choice from three none of which I cared for. After waiting three hrs or so I returned to the lady's room what a mess :(. Jergel's is a fine place to see live music unless, you are going to see an opening act and want dinner first. Jergel's ticketing is set up so that you have to choose to either support the opening acts by buying tickets from them or buying direct fro Jergel's this getting the bands no credit for sales as they will not allow bands to sell early entry tickets and early entry tickets purchased through the venue cannot be credited to the opening acts. Seems greedy to me, why can't I buy a ticket and pay for an upgrade? read more

The music venues they put on are great. We have seen a Sammy Haga tribute band and an Eagles tribute band. They were both great!!! Enjoyed it completely. HOWEVER, when we came to Jergel's, they told us that we needed a Real ID to get in. I myself do not always carry a wallet if I am not driving. I maybe just carry cash and a credit card. It just so happened that one of my friends brought his wallet and ID. If not, we would have shown up after driving a long way and all four of us would have had to go BACK HOME with paid-for tickets in our hands!!! They should mention the Real ID requirement up front, not just at the door. One other problem. The service is terrible. My friend ordered a simple salad with a side order of potato chips. It took an hour and ten minutes to show at our table. read more

Definitely the place to go for live music. Not the place to go on a sold out Friday night if you are the least bit claustrophobic . I do recommend sitting in the upper balcony area verses the stage floor to avoid being surrounded on all sides by an active crowd. Rock and Roll music mixed with alcohol rarely turns individuals into library patrons. Thankfully, the security team kept the crowd orderly but still allowed for a night of fun and excitement . Checking into the event was swift and organized. I recommend arriving before the doors open, in order to take advantage of the first come, first serve seating. They also have the option to pay extra for patrons wishing to enter before the doors open. Due to the size of the crowd, it appeared that the kitchen and servers were out of sync. It took over an hour to get an appetizer. Apparently my order showed up at another patrons table. Not once, but twice. The server did try her best to keep up with all the food and drink orders but could have used more help. I chose to leave before the show ended due to my fear that the poorly designed parking lot would be quite challenging to exit once everyone attempted to leave at the same time. Overall, I saw some great bands, enjoyed a few drinks, and can finally say that I have been to Jergel's. read more

I used to come here after the place first opened. Food has gone drastically downhill. To get a seat for one of the bands you have to pay the early entry price and if you don't show when the doors open you will have to sit in the back behind the bar where you can't see the stage. Definitely a cool place to see a band. I recommend going early if you want to get a seat because seating is limited. There's a cool VIP area with booths too. We hung out on the second floor balcony area seemed to be less congested. Theres a smaller bar upstairs. A friend ordered a bunch of appetizers and food was ok.. its bar food. I certainly didn't expect top-notch but it was fine. My biggest problem was finding bottle beer that wasn't room temperature. My first rock venue endeavor since moving to Pittsburgh last week. One of my all-time favorite guitarists, Pat Travers, was appearing at Jergels on a Sunday. If there's one thing I've had experience with, it is music venues. I have to admit, I was unexpectedly impressed. Everything from the size of the venue (not too big) to the bar seating (great view of the stage plus TV monitors) to the Bartenders (Stu was great) and welcoming staff, and great bar food. I ordered the Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Flatbread. Too much for one sitting. Bottom line, if there's an opportunity to see a show here. Don't hesitate. read more

Been here twice now for 2 different music ventures. I don't remember having to pay to park before. This night someone was charging 10 bucks for parking. I'm thinking had I gotten here earlier and parked in the lot directly related to Jergel's it would have been free but, because it was full, there was another business next door that was charging. (That's what I'm thinking, anyway.) Had a great Groupon deal this go-round that came with a free beer ticket. We came to see Billy Bob Thornton and his band. Before that was a warm-up band, Millgroves Crossing. They were awesome, playing great music from an era gone by (my era). I'm looking them up so I can see them again. Three stars instead of four because I really don't crave standing up all night to watch live music. This place is general admission with some seating, but not enough, and because we can't get there early enough, we had to stand. The good news is that I had a clear view of Billy Bob Thornton through about 4 rows of heads in front of me near the stage and got some good pics, so happy enough. And the sound system was great. The cigar bar is where it is at :) - The cigar bar is in the back of Jergel's Rhythm Grille. Stacey is the bartender - super friendly and remembers everyone. Cigar Bar - there is not lingering smoke - they do a great job with the air purifiers (my opinion). Happy Hour: - Happy Hour is every day with half price drinks. - The food is surprisingly very good. Happy Hour food specials - you get half the food so just beware but still a good deal to get a smaller portion. Atmosphere: The cigar lounge used to be the green room. I has the comfortable leather chairs, tables, and bar area. It is a place I regularly go and enjoy. read more

A buddy and I met here for drinks last night. Unfortunately, there was a live show at 6 (even though we didn't see it on our way out at 7) as we just wanted to grab drinks at the bar. We were directed to the cigar lounge in the back. It's a cool lounge, but as a non-smoker, I didn't like all the smoke in the room and how my clothes wreaked afterwards. Regardless, the bartender was spot on from a service perspective. The room was busy and she was extremely attentive at every seat. It was unreal. The boneless chicken tenders with old bay seasoning were odd. I wasn't even sure if they were chicken and they were caked in old bay. I also ordered a side of fries which were ok. The drinks were stiff which is always appreciated. I'm giving it 4 stars as the service was remarkable. The food was eh and the vibe was cool if you're open to hanging out in a smoke filled room. read more

Luckily, my friend has complied. hahah Anyway, we have seen this place a number of times on Yelp and decided to finally stop in. We came on a Tuesday night and to our delight, it was Bike Night. They will be having Bike Night until about mid August. It was pretty crowded already around 7:30pm. Bite the Bullet was performing.. they were pretty good. Definitely, different from our usual evenings. I had buffalo wings... half hot and half hot cajun. I think about half of them were really crispy which is the way I prefer them so I don't feel like I have a mouth full of fatty skin. The rest of them were kinda soggy... so maybe, next time, I'll order them with the sauce on the side. I didn't get a drink but many others did and they looked like they were enjoying them. read more
