After going WAY downhill the past couple years, I just fired their service. The final straw was the fact they had lost my trust regarding the quality of their service, including serious concerns whether they even apply what they say. Jeremy is just a rude, angry guy. My advice is to steer clear. Used Jeremy for one summer. Pre-paid the entire summer and in the end his service was fine but I felt I could get an equal result for less money by doing it myself. There was a subsequent billing disagreement. In trying to calmly resolve the dispute with Jeremy he told me I should "be a man and pay his bill," that I was an "asshole," and that I should "fuck off because he was sending me to collections" and then he hung up on me. In all the call lasted maybe 90 seconds. I wish I recorded it. My credit rating is above 800, as I pay ALL my bills on time; and while I would have comprised with him had he been decent (because I understand how tough being a small business owner is), I certainly would not after this interaction. They come out in a timely manner and supposedly puts weed killer down. Last year I was not happy because I kept getting weeds popping up. When I complained, they made it my fault for not doing this or that. I never had any problems with the previous company I used, I just wish that other company didn't go out of business. I guess I'll just save my money and do my own yard. read more

Jeremy and his crew are THE BEST! I made the mistake of using a competitor a couple seasons ago because of a low introductory price. The customer service was horrible and the lawn looked reflected. I switched back to That Weed Guy, and never looked back again! I have used them for two properties in Naperville and both lawns are beautiful. Jeremy offers AMAZING customer service. Over the years, I have used many landscaping companies for various things and I cannot tell you how there seems to be a norm in the industry where being rude to your customers, not showing up, and poor quality work is okay. So when there was an honest mistake made by one of Jeremy's guys (accidentally did the neighbors house instead of ours), I was pleasantly surprised to see that Jeremy came out himself and corrected the situation. On top of that, he was very concerned to make us a happy customer and extremely apologetic (when really it was just an honest mistake). Not to mention, his services work! After our first treatment, it was amazing to see all of the yellow dandelions on our neighbors lawns when we had the greenest, dandelion free grass! Jeremy reached out to me after I wrote a Yelp review a week ago. He told me that he zeroed out my $54 balance. Finally, he agreed to my request which occurred last September 2018. I also wrote a letter to the American Profit Recovery, a credit collection agency that I do not have any plans to pay this bill. Needless to say I do not plan to sign up for lawn fertilizer treatments from this weed guy after sending this alleged lawn care bill to the credit collection agency. Next time weed guy please check your records to make sure that your services were authorized or canceled. read more

That weed guy does not weed the complete yard, only the center part. There were weeds all over our yard on the edges. Our yard has more weeds now than it has ever had. But he charges for weeding the full yard and would not discount or retreat the yard. He did not call us back when we complained. in addition, That Weed Guy hung up on me when I called him later to explain the issue. I am extremely dissatisfied with That Weed Guy. read more

Jeremy did a tremendous job with our lawn. We had switched from Tee Time lawn service the year before. They were ok, but it was very impersonal, and I always had to call their customer service because of billing discrepancies. I switched to Jeremy the next year, and he serviced my lawn for the summer of 2015. We ended up putting our house on the market in the spring of 2016 for a cross-country relocation, but as winter turned to spring, and the snow melted, our lawn came in beautifully again in 2016. Quite noticeably I might add. Many people asked me if we did something special because we were selling, but we were just following the standard lawn care package that Jeremy offers. This is my first season using Jeremy. He came once a month for the 6-treatment plan. No complaints about the service. The only thing I don't like is the feedback after the service. I get a "report card" about whether I need to mow, weed a garden bed, trim, etc. I find this kind of tone deaf and borderline annoying. I purchased my home with lots of exterior work that needs to happen. The hard was overgrown and I've been battling Mother Nature to reclaim it. I don't have time or knowledge to fertilize and keep up with chemicals on the lawn so I hire that out. Why do I need a report card about things I need to do with suggestions like, "pick the weeds when you mow." If he was more full-service with landscaping and other gardening services I would understand the feedback. But I am happy with my lawn and how it looks and I know his service keeps my lawn lush and green. When the rest of it is done, maybe I'll look forward to the report card! read more

Jeremy and his crew did a great job on our yard. We've been having fungus issues the last few years, and Jeremy recommended a double-pass aeration and disease resistant over-seeding. The guys doing the work were very helpful and polite letting us know what they were doing and what they were seeing in terms of issues with the lawn. Looking forward to having the lawn in great shape next year. Jeremy had been out previously to see our lawn and gave us some great care tips as well. Nice added value. Jeremy and Dave are wonderful!! First of all, Jeremy took the time to talk to me over the phone, answer my questions, and even respond promptly to my countless emails. I signed up with him and he sent his colleague Dave to service my lawn. He was nice, knowledgeable, and also took the time out of his busy schedule to answer my questions about how to get my lawn in tip-top shape. He applied a fertilizer and weed control. Unfortunately, we had a SEVERE case of crabgrass so Dave came back a week later to spray again. Dave stopped by the following week to check on my lawn, and he informed me that the weeds were started to turn purple, indicating they were dying. He came again the following week to check on the lawn, and he and his coworker pulled out all the rotted crabgrass. My yard looks 100% better! I'm not embarrassed about my lawn anymore and can't wait to sit on our porch and enjoy our yard. The grass has become greener, thicker, and longer too! Despite Dave's many visits to my yard from Plainfield to Lemont, I wasn't charged a dime for the additional visits, services, or products. Dave always left me detailed notes about his observations and services performed. Even if he sprayed a tiny section of grass, he still put a white flag in my yard to notify me since I have a small dog. Dave and Jeremy give individualized attention, something you won't find with a chain lawn company. They treat my lawn as if it's their own. It's hard to find people who care about what they do and are knowledgeable. These guys are great and I'm so glad I found them! I'll be passing out their card to some other houses in our new community suffering from the same crab grass issue! This is one aspect of our home that I can check off my list and not have to worry about anymore because I hired the best! Thank you so much again! read more

Jeremy is a very good guy but his product...not very good, and his customer service person (Tiffany)....downright RUDE! Never had so many dandelions in my yard as when I hired That Weed Guy to treat my lawn. All I called for was to request that somebody come back to spot treat my lawn and I was screamed at and hung up on. I called back to cancel my contract and had to endure more screaming and being hung up on. Their guarantee is a joke and I'd advise against doing business with this company. read more
