I do not recommend…read more Clinical staff was outstanding except for poor coordination and explanation of costs. I'll explain below. Office staff was condescending and made smirks at me when I told them I didn't understand the costs and that they would require full payment upon leaving. I didn't have $3200 on me at the time. I went I for evaluation and then two root canals, if necessary. Prior to arrival, the office emailed me the cost for one root canal. That was the last treatment plan I saw. Here's what should have happened. My bad also for allowing it. Once the exam was complete, a revised treatment plan should have been prepared and reviewed with me for consent prior to treatment. That did not happen. Again, my bad for allowing it. I gave consent without a valid treatment plan. That's the process I'm used to and should have insisted. If they are part of your insurance network, go for it with caution. If they are out of network, find a practice that is. I felt 2nd class at this facility. Shameful!

Dr. Craven and his assistant Claudia went above and beyond to ensure my understanding of the procedure and my comfort. I appreciate being able to see the results of the procedure on the before and after X-rays as well. I highly recommend this practice and specifically Dr. Craven to anyone needing a root canal. My teeth are very strong and I never have bloody gums or any other issues. I brush twice a day and floss every night before bed. My first visit, they took about a hundred x-rays (excessive), and the dentist did an exam, explained to me she was going to do a cleaning. She then went over the cost of different options and I told her I just wanted a cleaning because that's what my insurance would cover. She did the cleaning and they wanted me to come in a MONTH later for another cleaning (which my insurance doesn't cover). I told them I wouldn't be doing that. I then received a bill in the mail for $120. When calling to complain, they told me they didn't submit it to my insurance. So if I hand't called to complain, I would've been out $120. 6 months later, they called to tell me I was due for my 6 month cleaning (which my insurance covers), so I moved forward with scheduling the appointment. After receiving the date of the appointment I verbally confirmed I was just going to receive a basic cleaning. Lisa then told me a list of things the doctor would need to do. I explained that going to the dentist often feels like going to purchase a used car. All the add-ons and upsells are ridiculous. She interrupted me while I was speaking to further justify the services she previously listed. I waited until she finished and she asked me if I wanted to keep the appointment. I told her to just cancel it and as I was explaining why, she began talking over me and then hung up on me. Real great customer service - NOT. Dealing with a snotty receptionist whilst trying to get a dental appointment is not great service. Nice modern office, but don't charge your customers for unnecessary procedures just to subsidize your decor. And maybe don't put snotty people on your phones when dealing with patients.

Then something came up and they were able to move my appointment for my fillings. The first thing I noticed is how friendly and understanding the staff is. I felt right at home both visits. The dentist did a fantastic job and was asking me if I was ok while he was doing the work on my teeth. I didn't even know he was poking the needle in my gums until after he'd already done it!!! That's a big win for me! The tooth they fixed in the front looks like it was never broken. I'm not as sore as I thought I was going to be. There's very minimal swelling. I highly recommend going here for dental work or cleanings and check ups.

We as patients had no idea there was a change in ownership and there was zero communication on anything. I went to this new smile place and it just wasn't the same. Staff was okay. Pancake I guess is the doctor now he was nothing special. I'm in the hunt for a new dentist, but just extremely sad to see this place go from a family place to a corporate run practice with no care for the patient.

When I made my appointment, they offered to arrange for the exam and possible root canal in the same visit to save me a trip, which I agreed to. I was seen promptly and an x-ray and exam indicated that I did not need the root canal. I was very relieved and appreciative that they didn't perform the procedure when it wasn't necessary. Unfortunately, the way healthcare works often is that doctors get paid per procedure, and they had already scheduled in that time, so there were multiple incentives here to perform the root canal one way or the other. I'm grateful that Dr. Dahlkemper was honest about the fact that I did not need one and sent me home early.

Already have a dental phobia, which the office was supposedly aware of, including this dentist. Along with tooth sensitivity from a separate disorder. This was by the far the worst experience I've ever had in the dentist chair. He was extremely rude - zero bedside manner. Didn't explain anything ahead of time, including interrupting me when I panicked and raised his voice with me enough that it brought me to tears. And snapped even though I was crying. Was not fully numbed and felt the procedure, even though he said I wouldn't. Also told me twice during the numbing portion of it - told me that it was my fault. My fault that I was there. No sedation during or pain killers for after the root canal, either.
