I was recommended to Dr.Marion by family, after a Terrible experience with another dentist who made my dentures. The dentures I currently had would not stay in my mouth without a ton of Fixodent and after two years, I wanted something more. So, I went to Dr.Marion. Before going I read reviews and was excited. Once meeting him, I was so excited because I finally thought that I would have teeth that would finally make me feel like a whole person. I WAS SO WRONG!!! As I continued to meet with Dr. Marion his disposition with me became more impersonal and arrogant. Anytime I would ask a question, I would get some kind of rude answer. To make sure I was not imagining this, I brought three different people with me on separate occasions. Depending on who I brought, was dependent on which 'Dr.Marion' was present. When it was someone from the family who recommended him to me, oh he was so helpful, kind and appeared sincere. When it was my mother or close friend, complete opposite. I received a quote of a little under 4000 for his services with 1500 being paid by insurance and the rest cash. This was late November,2020 and around mid-January I received a phone call from the office of Dr.Marion telling me I could not schedule another appointment until after February 1st, when my dental insurance would be renewed. Wait?!? What!!! So they not only charged my insurance in 2020, they also charged my insurance another 1500 in February, 2021. They then stated that (after we paid over 2500 cash for the remaining difference) that they mis-calculated and we still owed ANOTHER 700 cash. So in addition to the 2500 cash we paid, then the insurance paying 3000, we STILL owed 700. Of course, I wanted my teeth, so we Paid it. While they explained the 3990 was an estimate I certainly Didn't realize that their 'estimate' would be off by nearly 2300. Had I know this, I never would have started services with Dr. Marion. So after that I finally got my dentures. I was so excited! The bottom ones fit perfectly. The top ones were an absolute disgrace. (I will add a picture--the gum is too thick and gives me a fat lip). I went back to Dr. Marion 4 times for him to adjust, fix and help with the dentures and each time he becomes more and more irritated. After it was Obvious the teeth were not going to fit, never ONCE did Dr.Marion state 'don't worry we will fix it' or make any kind of statement. He in not exact words said too bad so sad. So here I am thousands of dollars later and still have teeth that don't fit. I have asked Dr Marion for a refund of my too denture and he has refused which has pushed me to seek legal counsel. It should be an embarrassment to the dental community how rudely Dr. Marion treated me. It is hard enough for us with teeth issues to get them addressed but then to be treated like we are less than or a bother, is shameful. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST unless you want humiliated. read more

I moved to the area and a friend recommended this office for our dental needs. They came with great reviews. Most of the staff was welcoming and pleasant. Especially the receptionist. However, I did receive troubling comments at times. I was once asked by a staff member "Why would I pick this place?". Which I thought was odd. Also, for my first 3 visits, Dr. Marion kept asking who recommended me to come there??? Which started to make me feel unwanted because he kept asking and asking. I did not totally pick up on it until my last visit that I may not be welcomed there due to the color of my skin. My last visited confirmed it by the way I was treated, talked to and belittled by Dr. Marion. It was then VERY clear to me that he did not want me as a patient. There is no diversity in that area, in the office, or in the website pictures which makes me pause at times but a good friend that goes there thought I should try it. Bottom line, if you are a person of color, I do not recommend this location for your dental needs. Again, not ALL staff was unpleasant and I appreciate them for that. But I will definitely not return due to the way I was treated by the dentist himself. read more

I was a patient of Marion Dental. The dentist was great. I do miss him. However the office manager is very unpleasant. I canceled an appointment due to waking up with a fever and cold. I called in and was charged a cancellation fee. I argued to no avail. Then after 6 months or so, I called and said I would pay the fee, I need some work. She then informed me the fee jumped from $37.00 to $63.00. Seriously!! She said it was interest. I will not pay and I will never seek their services again read more

I did not like being bombarded by staff taking videos to try to sell a bunch of cosmetic procedures. They then put all of your dental information on a postcard and mail for anybody to see. After complaining they stated they are changing their policies, but the damage has already been done. It should have never been a procedure in the first place. You May want to get a second opinion before taking the advice of this dentist . I went for a cleaning and check up and was told I had periodontal disease and needed a deep cleaning in all 4 quad rents of my mouth . I was told they needed to do an oral DNA test to determine the bacteria in my mouth at a cost of $300 and insurance doesn't cover . They gave me an estimate that total charges where going to be in the $1800 range . Normally I would have just gone with it but I just had a gut feeling they were exaggerating my problems. I decided to get a second opinion so I went to a peridontist that has years of experience (which I have never done in the past ) because I couldn't shake the feeling of being taken advantage of . I went to a periodontist who did an exam and said I had 1 small area that could use a deep cleaning but the rest of my mouth was good ! Total cost to the insurance $225 . No oral DNA test needed , which he informed me was a joke .. everyone has bacteria in their mouth and I certainly wasn't displaying any signs of something being wrong. Needless to say I would NOT recommend unless you have money to throw away ! I will say the staff was very friendly and nice . read more
