I live in Oceanside but drive all the way to La Mesa for Dr. Jardin. Should tell you all you need to know about the care and service his practice provides. The receptionists and assistants are all very friendly as well. They accept most dental plans and also would refer you to other dentists who provide excellent care as well when they are unable to do the service you require. Wow, what a horrible experience. I just got a new insurance policy THIS MONTH, and this place totally tried to scam me. Here is what happened: They tried to make me agree to a four page hippa legal document with no information filled out on their end, not going to happen. An elderly lady came out and just started popping off on me, because I wouldn't pay her imaginary $30 copay. She kept saying, you are accusing me, blah blah blah. I did keep asking her to show me something in MY PLAN showing I owed this 30 dollar copay upfront. She kept referring to some dusty old printout she had as a reference, which didn't even have any prices. She wasn't making sense or being logical in any way and she knew it. I went to sit down and wait for her to call my insurance company, from the front desk. People would check in and out. Several times she asked me loudly if I had any questions, and it wasn't to clarify anything, she just wanted to continue to antagonize me while I was sitting down, attempting to de-escalate the stressful situation. My policy does not charge a visit copay with my "network assigned dentist" which I changed this place to, based on the positive Yelp reviews. I pay for individual things, like xray, fillings, etc, at a fixed price, and no deductible or office visit fee for seeing that provider. It took me about five minutes to get my original medication list back, and they kept my insurance card, which I didn't realize until I got home. What a terrible experience. What a horrible place. Never again! Just my two cents, you sometimes have differing experiences from other people, and my experience with the facility was all bad. They never verified my insurance before I came, but claimed that they did, that could have saved me this entire headache in the first place. Just bad customer service and people who are unwilling to admit when they made a mistake, or several. read more

This office has wasted my time twice. When my crown fell out and needed to be recemented, the first time, they made me wait 4 days because they decided they only wanted to be open 3 days a week. It didn't matter to them that I had no tooth and needed emergency services. Then, this week, I called and told them the crown cracked completely and needed to be replaced. I called yesterday (Monday) and explained that my crown fell out on Sunday. They said "can you come in tomorrow?" And I recall thinking "oh, they're going to actually come in to help me because I thought they were closed." I said yes, and scheduled the appt. I came in the next day as instructed, and guess what? They were closed! I sat outside in the rain calling them and when I finally reached someone, they said sorry, they're closed and I'll need to come back the next day. Again, they do NOT care if you're having a dental emergency. They choose to only be open 3 days a week. If you want customer service, and a facility who places you first, this is not the place. I went there for the first time this past Friday because my sister recommended it to me. I was looking for a close by dental office that accepted my insurance and they honestly exceeded my expectations. Since I was new there, I had a lot of questions(especially because I was getting a root canal) and the lady up front was very patient with me and clearly explained everything to me. The rest of the staff and the doctor himself were very kind and helpful as well. There is only one doctor but they get everything done efficiently and rather quick with amazing results. No complaints from me at all. I definitely recommend this office to anyone in need of dental care!! read more

Really bad all around. Front desk guy was not pleasant and didn't have a care in the world. Hygienist lady was sweet, clearly she's running the place. Dentist.... Came in, introduced himself, picked at my teeth, didn't tell me what he wasn't doing, and left. He was EXTREMELY rough. Then I got my teeth "cleaned" if we can even call it that. The hygienist then told me I have 4 cavities according to my x-ray. I asked why the dentist didn't tell me this or explain anything to me and she said it's her job .... Never have I experienced a hygienist explaining my cavities to me. This is something a dentist should discuss. I asked if the dentist was planning to speak with me...at all....and he did not. Will NOT be coming back here. After I get my second opinion, I'll update the review because I have a feeling I have 0 cavities. read more

I don't know about this place, the lady at the front desk is a bit snippy. The young man there is really nice. The dentist is nice and he dose his job and walks away. It's a small office, so if something were to happen and you needed immediate help they will tell you to wait a few weeks. I'm not super excited about this place but it's the best I can find near my home. I'm waiting until I can change my insurance to PPO and run away. Do not use Dr Jeramel Jardin. He caused more damage to my teeth than he corrected. When I lost my bridge covering two teeth, he insisted on putting in a partial denture covering all of my upper teeth. The partial rubbed against two of my good teeth causing an infection and they had to be removed. He then put in a bridge covering ten teeth and left a deep pocket near one of the multiple anchors that was so small I could not clean it with floss. It was sensitive to cold and when I complained, he said there was nothing he could do. The resulting infection landed me in the hospital for three days. read more

We went to this office because of a change in dental insurance. When I left, an assistant explained that I needed 3 procedures, including replacing a crown. My husband left with NINE procedures suggested. We saw our old and trusted dentist for a second opinion. We both need ONE filling. Dentistry is not a well-documented science. While some dentists may suggest lots of "preventive" treatments, you may not need to spend thousands on this. We will not go back. read more

I feel like my rating was deleted! So I will post a new one. I came to this place because of the reviews on here. But now I feel like they are all fake. This doctor was not nice and not gentle even when I told him I was having TMJ pain. He told me I needed eight fillings and I got two other second opinions and they didn't see any. He did four and my face twitched for the rest of the night. The other four, according to the two other dentists, didn't exist. And now I do not know if the four he did were necessary. The lady who books appointments doesn't seem like she knows what she's doing. "We have an available appointment at 1. No its 2. I'm sorry no 1:30." I do not recommend this place AT ALL. read more

This is one of the best hidden dentistry places i've ever been to, and i've been coming here for a few years now In terms of staff, everyone here is so nice and welcoming, it uplifts the environment. The receptionist, Leona, is a close family friend and has always been so helpful in terms of always reminding me when my next appointment is! Although there are only two seats, Dr. Jardin works at a fast, yet meticulous pace, and always manages to patch up the multiple cavities in me teeth perfectly every time. One of the most memorable experiences was when I needed to have a tooth removed, and he made sure that I was comfortable with every twist of the tooth. Then after he pulled it out, he said "ITS A BOY!" and made all of my family burst into laughter. Would recommend to those looking to find their "forever dentist" and to those who have a fear of dentists because whenever I walk through the door I know Im in good hands! read more

I first went to Dr. Jardin last year and have had a lot of work done since then (including crowns, deep cleanings, x-rays, & fillings) and recently have had to go for a cracked crown (this is an old tooth and not something that they work on prior)- I am very pleased as a patient. Amazing Dental Office! I visited the office due to an emergency. I was experiencing a lot of pain and had a long list of things that I needed work on. My situation was more complicated because I needed everything to be taken care of ASAP because my coverage will end at the end of the month. Leona, at the front desk was extremely patient while I explained my situation and took the time to break down the cost of each procedure that would need to be done and paired the work in order for me to get as much done as possible before my coverage would end. In addition, she offered programs for financial assistance and helped me apply for Care Credit so that I could afford the necessary treatment plan. The office stayed open long after their closing hours to finish taking care of me. I'm so thankful for the phenomenal care I received! read more

A friend of mine recommended this dental office to me. I was new here and needed to find a dentist, yet none of the dentists I called answered or returned my calls after leaving them a message, and I have called 15 offices! I tried jeramel and they were the ONLY ones that answered and to this day, they answer and return all my calls no problem! I believe this office is family owned. They have always done an awesome job on my teeth. Dentist Jeramel makes sure he does everything right and correct! You can tell that its important to him. He makes you feel important, does not rush things and is caring, he asks if you are okay or if you need a break. They even let you watch Netflix or tv while you're in "the chair." They are very accommodating and seem to hold your best interest, they have even resubmitted a claim to my insurance to appeal their denial on one of my cleanings and it all was taken care of. The whole staff is just amazing. They are absolutely fabulous and very accommodating! I was going to reschedule an appointment due to not having a baby sitter for my 1 year old, but they told me to keep my appointment and bring the kid. So I did, and she watched my 1 year old while I went in to get my crown done. My 1 year old fell asleep before I got done and I didn't hear her cry once while she was with this amazing dental assistant in the lobby. I am so blessed to have them as my go to for dental work. Dr. Jardin & all of his staff are extremely competent, nice, & easy to work with. As a new patient with a broken tooth & new insurance, his staff went above & beyond to get me in as quickly as possible - they made several calls to the insurance company to get everything straightened out prior to my appointment. Upon arrival, I found the reception area & entire office to be completely spotless. Everyone was very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. The hygienist took several x-rays and Dr. Jardin also took several pictures of which he showed me all on the screen in front of the dental chair. He was able to show me where all of my current issues were, along with explaining all of my options for my current broken tooth & other issues I was having. He was able to do the root canal & temporary crown for the tooth that was causing pain on my very first visit. I have scheduled an appointment for next week to repair the broken tooth & I will be getting all of my other needed dental work from Dr. Jardin. As of 2hrs. ago, I am no longer experiencing any pain (yes, the local anesthetic has worn off) & am quite pleased with his work. I am so glad I used Yelp! to find this wonderful dentist. read more

Went in here on the referral of a friend. Had a root canal. My mouth was propped open for 3 hours. Thought it was a very long time to do a root canal but okay it is what is. then recently went to another dentist for a cleaning and he said who did this root canal, it looks like what I saw in dental school, very poorly done. Then a few months ago I had another root canal done and it took 35 minutes by a real pro, clean, efficient and it looks perfect. I will never go back here. read more

Let me start by saying , I wish I can give this office more than 5 stars. That's how awesome my experience was. After having multiple bad experiences in the past with other dentist I was so happy I finally found my forever dentist. From the moment I made the appointment to actually seeing the dentist was great! everyone is sooo kind and takes their time with you and explains everything. You actually walk out of there feeling like the dentist really actually cares about your teeth. After cracking my tooth and feeling like it was a loss, I saw Dr. Jardin and he gives you hope to restore your smile again. You don't feel like he wants to do unnecessary work that you don't need. Hes very straight forward and tells you what you need. Most importantly he makes you feel comfortable and takes his time explaining everything.You never feel rushed. His staff is awesome too, they are sooo sweet and super nice. I was so happy when I left I wanted to cry because I knew I found that special dentist . Id have to say that office and him are 1 in a million that's for sure. Speaking of office, it is super clean ,nice and neat.Everything is brand new. They have a huge Flat screen in the waiting room to watch.Also in each room they have flat screen TV's and the assistant hands you the remote to watch netflix. How cool is that. Not only is that cool but it makes your time go by fast, It doesn't make the wait seem long at all.GOOD IDEA DR JARDIN!They have digital xrays and he pulls them up on the big TV and goes over them with you. Staff are so courteous and friendly. They made sure that my kids are comfortable. My kids are not scared of having their teeth checked because of Dr. Jardin and his wonderful staff. One thing that I can never forget is when my daughter had her second tooth extraction, her molar was really difficult to be removed but Dr. Jardin was so gentle and made sure that my daughter is comfortable and not hurting.
