Supreme pizza
Laura L.

Beautifully decorated for the holidays. The pizza was good especially the sauce on the supreme which is made in house. Bar cocktails were premixed which was disappointing but I get it as they are incredibly busy. Staff were welcoming and warm. Management was present and walking around to check on things. Very spacious inside and the grounds were really nice too. Definitely a positive experience!

Yum, poured from the barrel.

Surprisingly delicious food and 10/10 cocktails! My husband and I went on a spontaneous road trip to Shelbyville and decided that we needed to stop into Jeptha Creed after all these years of driving by it on the interstate! We were unable to join in on a tour but opted for a handcrafted cocktail, pizza, and a guided bourbon tasting. The cocktail we chose was a seasonal sweet potato puree based cocktail, it blew us away. My husband commented it may be the best cocktail he's ever had. We shared a supreme pizza which was hot, fresh, and delicious. The guided bourbon tasting was informative and concise and was also free!! Highly recommend making a pit stop here for lunch and a drink if you're in the area!

The outdoor space here is wonderful and they allow dogs. There are cocktails as well as flights on the menu along with plenty of food options. The pizza was a good size and had good flavor. Great service and a nice place to relax and try some bourbon.

This was an amazing tasting and I highly recommend that you opt for the tasting at this location!!! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The vibes are on point with both the staff and guests, I was super impressed. They don't do the typical tour so it's 100% focused on their personal history and I loved that. If you want the traditional tour then choose another experience but still come to Jeptha for their tasting! You will not regret it!

The tasting was excellently guided providing history of the distillery as well as information on each spirit we sampled. The tasting is also free! I believe they offer them on the hour, check their website. It was a very enjoyable experience. The gift shop and hall area were beautiful and the food looked and smelled excellent. They also offer a active military, veteran, and first responders discount.

WOW this place is so gorgeous! Just absolutely stunning from the interstate and it gets better as you get closer. Beautiful grounds that are well maintained. They have a parking lot up front and then a giant seating area inside for people to enjoy tasting samples, cocktails, or food. They pre-pour the samples in the morning because they get so busy during the day. Everything was so delicious and I especially loved the honey vodka. Something different yet refreshing. Would 1000% go back! I'm hoping to do a tour next time :) another craft distillery tour in our bourbon trail passport!

Jeptha Creed has evolved since its launch in 2016 into a treasured small batch bourbon that does Shelby County proud. Crafted using its home-grown heirloom corn varietals, the bourbon gets better every year. The distillery itself makes for a fun visit - with rustic decor, friendly tour guides, and some delicious food and cocktail options served up by expert mixologists. As a women-owned, women-led company with a mother-daughter duo at the helm, this distillery is breaking new ground every day. The restaurant, patio and surrounding grounds can accommodate special events, concerts, and fun-filled game nights for families. Definitely plan to visit the next time you're in Lexington or Louisville.

Complimentary Old Fashioned for Barrel Tasting tour

We've done the Barrel Tasting twice now and it is the perfect introduction to Bourbon for out of town family and friends. The tour guides are fantastic (Selena was our guide yesterday and we loved her) and the overall experience is worth every penny. The barn is comfortable and feels intimate and cozy. We ordered pizza and brussel sprouts to be ready at the end of our tasting and it was delicious. Service was 10/10 on tour and at bar/restaurant. * Greatly appreciated the special barrel signing for active military and veterans. Wonderful way to honor those who serve our country.

Bloody Butcher Cornmeal

Love this distillery's story and mission. The grounds and barrel barns are beautiful, and Rhonda gave an amazing barrel tasting tour. The Bloody Butcher corn bourbons are top-notch, and I could'n't resist the Bloody Butcher Cornmeal to make purple Johnny Cakes. I highly recommend a visit!

Vintage Car cocktail

Great whiskey! They offer free tastings, but stick around for some food and cocktails and enjoy the scenery.

The rotisserie chicken with collard greens and wedges is my go to every time! Though I have tried the tenders, the sandwiches and few more items. I just can't get enough of the cheddar biscuits, and wedges paired with the jalapeño ranch. Everything is made fresh and delicious! With fast service and a relaxing interior. Not to mention they have a small bar as well with a daily happy hour!

Waldo's Chicken & Beer isn't just another chicken place (which is why I honestly hadn't bothered visiting). They have AMAZING sides and desserts. I was wrong for thinking oh another chicken tender place big whoop.... We chose the cheddar biscuit basket with honey butter, chicken tender basket & the chicken tender sandwich. The chicken was fried perfectly. Crisp but not too greasy. The buffalo dipping sauce is perfectly spiced and just the right amount of pucker. I could dip just bread in it. It's so good. The coleslaw is divine. Sweet and tangy with the perfect ratio of vinegar to sugar. It reminds me of my Momma's. Comes with fries and Texas toast. Yum!! My daughter had the tender sandwich and she loved it. I didn't try the sandwich but I did try the mac-n-cheese and it was very flavorful. The cheddar biscuits were so-so; but, I'm a loyal Red Lobster cheddar biscuit snob. These were really sweet. They did have banana pudding on the menu that I will definitely try again next time. Portion sizes are big so you can eat on it twice. Welcome to Shelbyville Waldo's. We will be back!
