Specialists, imaging, nutrition counseling and physical therapy failed to offer solutions. An MRI brain scan finally revealed damage to brain blood vessels; a diagnosis from the fourth neurologist was vascular Parkinson's. Word of mouth brought us to the CA Brain & Spine Center and Dr. Chizari. Treatment at the Center relies on advanced technology and Dr. Chizari's deep understanding of functional neurology - leading your brain to reconnect with your body via your vision, vestibular system and neural pathways. It's been fascinating to watch. My husband is improving. Rediscovering abilities. Walking better. And for all the science and technology that is at the foundation of the Center, the real difference is Dr. Chizari himself. He is kind, gentle and deeply committed to his patients. Sessions with Dr. Chizari are one-on-one and intensive. He creates a safe and encouraging environment. We highly recommend the California Brain & Spine Center.

The therapy sessions were different from anything I had done before, and I felt like the team truly understood vestibular and balance issues.

From the moment you meet her, you can sense that she is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but deeply compassionate. She listens with genuine care, never rushing you, and makes you feel like your concerns truly matter. What stands out most about Dr. Levyim is the way she advocates for her patients. You can feel that she is rooting for you every step of the way. She approaches each appointment with empathy, patience, and an extraordinary depth of expertise. She explains things clearly, answers every question thoughtfully, and ensures you feel supported and understood. In a healthcare system that can sometimes feel impersonal, Dr. Levyim is a breath of fresh air. She leads with both brilliance and heart, and it is evident that she genuinely cares about the wellbeing of the people she treats. I feel incredibly grateful to be under her care. If you are looking for a neurologist who is not only exceptionally skilled but also deeply human, compassionate, and devoted to her patients, Dr. Levyim is truly outstanding. It took 3 months to get into see him for consultation but we'll worth the wait! My husband was only 40 at the time and after going over his imaging and history he suggested something much different than what Dr. Grossman at SCOI wanted to do to him! (3 discectomies & fusion) holy crap! Dr. Taban said "absolutely not! You're young and healthy...You'll be back in 10 yrs for more surgery!" His recommendations were clearly what my husband needed and we scheduled his surgery w/Taban-had to wait 3 months for the date (that's how busy he is) but again we'll worth to wait! When Dr. Taban got going on the surgery he found that one of my husband's disks had ruptured, and that definitely explained why he was in so much more pain... So he cleaned up all the fragments as well as the bulges and said, there was plenty of disc remaining. No need to remove them. He also performed a Foraminotomy, and a laminectomy, as well as drilled the holes wider for the nerve roots to flow freely through. My husband was a new man within a week! Dr. Taban is amazing! My husband has been doing wonderful ever since-20 years later. He still has some soreness that he has to deal with and does see a chiropractor sometimes. We learned so much through this, and we're so grateful that we found this Dr. Taban. Do not let anyone touch your spine unless they're a neurosurgeon! Even if they're a "spine specialist" don't waste your time! Go to a neurosurgeon. Highly recommend Dr. Taban! P.S. At his office, in the lobby there's lots of reading material available which consists of hundreds of letters from patients thanking him and I can't remember how many of those letters were from people who were hacked by a different doctor and we're coming to Dr. Taban to fix/clean up their mess!
