Created Noble has some of your staple as well as non-traditional flavors, which escape my memory at the moment. They also have dairy free options and Mexican ice cream made with real fruit. I sampled the salted caramel flavor (dairy) and the berry flavor (non-dairy). I very much enjoyed both, but the berry was superior made with its oat base, actual berry pieces, and silky smooth texture. The owner is also very personable and very knowledgeable about various questions I had about hiking and other miscellaneous things to do in town. I highly recommend this black owned spot, and will make a trip here whenever I'm in town.

The cashier (who was probably the owner) was very nice! She spoke English and Mandarin.

The boutique was so cute we took our time checking every corner of the shop, and walked away with some lovely new pens for journaling. I'll be sure to come back any time I'm near here! If there's one thing I don't like about their drinks, it's that they're on the slightly sweeter side. If you mix them really well, it's not too bad, and in general the owners do a great job of mixing otherwise strong flavors like rose into their drinks. In terms of vibe, the spot feels a bit more like West Coast cafes in the sense that the baristas are really friendly and are up for chatting with you. It's a weird mix of skate shop and bookstore, with some books and a handful of games around. There's not a lot of space to sit and work, but they've got some outlets and a bathroom so it's definitely workable. All in all, it's in my favorite recent places. The person working the register said hello when I came in and went back to looking at their computer screen. But once I was no longer in view, the person came to do a circle around the area where I was standing and said, "I'm doing inventory." GIRL, BYE. I'm an auditor by profession and I know what conducting an inventory looks like. Also, people just doing their job do their jobs without explanation required. There were some other things this person did and overall, it was an ugly experience. I haven't been profiled in a long time and it still feels gross and reminds me how awful people can be. I found something special for my friend, and I bought it. I also bought it for myself because after this experience I needed something soothing too. I won't let one person change my mind about a place I shopped at for years but if I see this person when I walk in, I'm turning around and leaving. HomeGrown has great gifts if you want something locally-made that feels special. And in all these years, this is the only time I've experienced anything like this so I'll likely be back.
