Half of a pair of scissors used to clean nails.

Nasty nasty place! Dirty equipment unsterilized equipment. Even when asked to stop they continued to dig in the nail bed which in turn ended up with an urgent care visit and removal of a toe nail. They even used a power tool to file feet. With all the nail salons in town avoid this location!!

Perfection!

This is a small little shop but it is by far the best I've been to. They don't do anything fancy like massage the neck while your nails dry or parafin dip however it is the first place I've been to that took caution around my cuticles and I left with beautiful acrylic nails and no sore or cut cuticles. Everyone there including the other patrons were very nice. Also great prices! $13 bucks for a refill! I will defiantly be back again!

This is the bite my daughter got in that salon. It was just taken after 4 days and it still looks like this. She says it hurts now.

I was in desperate need to get my gel polish off (it's been about five weeks, so my nails were…read morewayyy overgrown). My usual nail salon is closed on Mondays. I have been to this location back in 2018 when it was under previous management (Polished Nail Bar), and decided to check out this place again. I called to see if they accept walk-ins, and thankfully, they were able to accommodate me (which I appreciate!) Upon walking in, I was a little disappointed in the interior. I remember it looking much sleeker when it was Polished Nail Bar. I'm not sure if the previous owners took everything with them or not, but I wasn't as impressed with the interior. They do however have some paintings of nails on the wall behind their stations which is cute. The owner, Kathy, seems friendly and told me to pick out my nail color (regular polish, not gel). They have a carousel in the front of nail polishes. It didn't seem like a large variety to choose from (or all within a similar color palette), but I picked a pearlescent hot pink which is perfect for Summer! The nail polishes all looked a little cracked/old, so I was worried that the nail polish wouldn't go on smoothly, but thankfully it did! Kathy said she recognized my face and that I've been there before. I told her it was possible (but only back in 2018, and that I haven't been back since then). The gel was a little hard to get off of my nails (after the initial cotton ball dipped in nail polish remover and tinfoil alien fingers didn't work 100%). Kathy started scrapping off the gel, but after a while, it was starting to hurt my nails (rather than re-soaking the cotton balls or letting it continue to work it's magic melting off). As she was talking to her usual customers, she a few times accidentally hit my skin with the drill which caused immediate shivers up my neck. My nails were square shaped from my previous nail salon visit, so Kathy shaped them in the same way (which is perfect/what I wanted, she just didn't ask me if that's how I wanted them or if I wanted them a different shape). The two usual customers that came in while I was there were both friendly, but both were joking how the employees were talking about them. The employees laughed, but didn't exactly deny it. I'm glad Kathy has a good rapport with her customers (where she can joke about them/to them, but I'm a bit more reserved). Once Kathy was done and started working on her usual customer, I had another employee work on me. She wasn't too friendly and didn't say hello. She barely pushed down my cuticles (if at all.....) and didn't really try too hard to remove any potential dirt from under my fingernails. It felt more like a "formality" that she was doing, rather than actually going through the formal process of a manicure. She also was cutting my cuticles and definitely cut them up a little bit, as it was hurting/stinging my fingers. When she put the towel on my skin, she didn't ask if it was too hot or if it was okay (it was a tad too hot, but thankfully wasn't boiling). In addition, she barely put lotion on my hands, just the smallest dab and rubbed it in within 2 seconds per hand. All in all, this was more so an emergency nail appointment for me to fix my polish/remove the gel, but I unfortunately do not think I will be back here (and will stick with my usual salon).

I have been getting my nails done since highschool and this is the only place I trust to get the job done. The dip power is my go to and has helped my nails grow long and healthy. I'll let your future customers be the judge . . …read more My husband had been talking about this Russian-style nail salon for months and how nice the lady's nails at his job looked. As a full-time working mother, also in school full-time, I have little time for pampering. I was so excited my husband booked an appointment for me as a Mother's Day gift. I had not had one day off in four months, and my school term just finished on Sunday. Two hours before the appointment on the way home from work, I got into a car accident. I was an emotional wreck! I asked him to cancel the appointment. My car was also not safe to drive. He told me he canceled it. Two hours later the nail salon calls back, and said they were waiting for me for the appointment. My husband explained he left a voicemail 2 hours ago that I had been in a car accident and asked to cancel it. He asked if they received that voicemail but the person on the phone deflected the question. She said, "I'm sorry, but our policy is to charge for the *FULL COST* of the nail service without a 24 hour cancellation." Although I understand the need for policies as a business, people deserve to be compensated for their time --especially from those who book appointments with no intention of canceling ahead of time because they changed their mind --it's also true that car accidents are rare and people aren't planning to get into a car accident a couple hours before their nail appointment on a routine basis! Life happens sometimes, occasionally your kid gets sick, your car breaks down, your loved one dies. You may have every intention to be somewhere when you book an appointment, which isn't feasible when the time comes. I did cancel immediately when I had an event that prevented me from attending the appointment. Additionally, I think charging the "full cost of the nail appointment for less than a 24 hour notice" is an unreasonable policy. Maybe consider a $25 or $50 fee like a doctor's office or other businesses? I was already crying and upset, and now hearing their callous, apathetic response made me feel even more distraught about the circumstances. It took a gift that was supposed to be a meaningful celebration for me in honor of Mother's Day--and now made me feel minuscule and undervalued. Their dismissive manner squelched any desire to rebook my service. Their first impression was truly distasteful. I'm sure they do a nice job on nails . . . but I will never know.

I can't say enough good things about Blooming Nails. My daughter wanted a nail design inspired by…read morethe anime & manga Jujitsu Kaisen, specifically themed after the character Sukuna. It was a tall order that included a full set, ombré, and hand painted lines, but Annie knocked it out of the park in less than 2 hours. This was my daughter's first time getting nails, and Annie was gentle and friendly, often asking her if she was happy with the shape and design. My daughter is thrilled (and I am kind of jealous of her awesome nails), so all in all I'm really happy we came to Blooming Nails. Thanks again, Annie!

After searching around, I found this salon and noticed they had a 4.9-star rating on Yelp, so I decided to give them a chance. I only needed my gel nails shortened because they had grown out too much, and one of my nails had already broken because of the length. My nail technician was Annie. She was professional, friendly, and listened to all of my requests. There were a few differences compared to my usual nail tech. Normally, my nail tech removes the old gel using an electric nail drill, but here they clipped the gel nails shorter with nail clippers. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about that method, but it wasn't a major issue. Another difference was that my usual nail tech trims the dead skin and cuticles around my nails as part of the service, whereas that wasn't done here. I'm not sure if that's something you need to request separately, but it's something I normally expect during a nail appointment. Overall, I would give this salon 4 stars. They're relatively new and seem to be doing their best. Annie even gave me a short back massage, which was a nice touch. Most importantly, they were able to take me as a walk-in and help me with my overgrown gel nails, which had already caused me to injure one of my fingers. I'm grateful they were able to fit me in and take care of the issue.
