I did take off one star because my sister ordered a doughnut with white icing and chocolate sprinkles, the server grabbed said donut, and we paid for our donuts and left; however, when we got to the car, we both had glazed donuts. The shop was super clean despite being in a rough part of town. There's plenty of locals grabbing a bite at Jason's as they're known for making their donuts fresh every morning! We picked one up, a white cake with raspberry filling and then a miniature chocolate cake along with a couple of carrot cake cupcakes for the birthday. My husband and I got a couple of pastries to try as well on the drive South. The people in the bakery were so kind and helpful. The atmosphere was wonderful. I must say that I don't think I've had a better bear claw pastry and my husband had the sticky bun pastry and both were heavenly. When celebrating the birthdays, everyone thought the cakes were terrific and I must say that the white cake was heavenly as well. We always try to shop local and so glad that we found this place open on our trip. Highly recommend and we will be back!
