We knew we needed a place for 150 people and we knew we wanted it to be drivable for both family and friends in upstate New York and Boston.   We stumbled upon The Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires after months of searching, but the only wedding we had seen hosted there was inside the main cottage. Reluctantly, we decided it was probably too small for us.   Fast forward another month.  Randomly one night, my wife and I both separately pulled up the venue again and I said, "We need to just call them. Maybe they have some grass we can put a tent on." After a couple of email exchanges, Eric, the owner, and Cory, the grounds keeper, invited us out to see the space and were instantly sold. The beautiful grounds, the stunning cottages (or as we like to call them, "mini mansions"), THE VIEW.   Not only did they have four cottages on site where guests could stay, but they also had a field where they had placed a tent for previous weddings that could hold up to 150 guests. We soon found out that over the winter months they would be adding three additional cottages for guests to stay and a seasonal tent to be used for weddings throughout the summer and fall. Needless to say, we booked it.   A couple months into planning, LHGC added a wedding coordinator to their awesome team.  We connected with Kelsey instantly, discussing plans we had made and things we had coming down the line. She was always available if we had a question or concern. Come time to do our walk through before the wedding, we laid out the entire day with the help of Kelsey and our caterer.  We walked away knowing we had the dream team on board.   When our weekend approached, all the new additions were complete and the space was more beautiful than ever. We had our rehearsal brunch Friday morning and welcome party Friday night, both of which allowed for the caterers to take full advantage of the catering kitchen in the main cottage. Kelsey and Cory were completely accommodating and there from start to finish to help with anything we needed.   Our guests arrived sporadically from Friday morning through the evening and spent time playing lawn games, kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake, and enjoying each other's company.  It was so nice to have the entire grounds at our disposal.   On our wedding day, it was just the same. Everything went off seamlessly. Kelsey and Cory were both there if something came up, made sure that set up was perfect, ran the ceremony and reception smoothly and effortlessly.   Our wedding was perfect. All the rooms are extra spacious. There is actually enough bedding for 9 people. We had a whole house to ourselves! Plenty of parking! All rooms, including bedding, sofas and bathrooms were super clean. The home smelled great when we walked in and there were fresh muffins waiting for us. The contemporary deco was fun while still providing a home away from home feel. The owners have a restaurant named Memo's across the street. We had a fabulous breakfast at Memo's at very reasonable prices. I had mentioned to the owner Christine that it had been my son's birthday the night while we were checking in. The next morning while we had breakfast at Memo's without being asked the owner and restaurant staff surprised my son with a chocolate muffin and candle and a birthday song. It was nice of her to remember and It made the start of his birthday getaway weekend very special. Christine was super attentive to our needs and answered any questions we had as 1st timers there. Lily's Lodge was just 10 minutes from 6 Flags and is right across the street from the annual Big E entrance. While staying at Lily's Lodge it felt like were were truly away yet still had very easy access to the main road which makes it convenient for quick trips to grab last minute items you may have forgotten to pack or just to do some shopping. It was a great apartment in the rear of the building - with lovely sunny view of the alley. The kitchen was great to convene for a quick dinner and the bathroom is lovely with its clawfoot bathtub. Apart with some minor noise from mail trucks at the local post office the apartment was quiet and cozy. Hudson Milliner is centrally located to most of the shops and restaurants and was walking distance to the train. We had a great time and had the pleasure to meet the hosts.

Right when I walked in Lorraine greeted me and showed me around, offered me some freshly made brownies and we chatted over the deliciousness. The bathroom attached was amazing. I had a nice soak before dinner and drinks. Lorraine and her husband live there and are amazing hosts. The bed and breakfast is only about 10 minutes away from Bradley Airport and in the quaint town of Suffield. They have a grocery and some restaurants across the street, but little traffic in the neighborhood. It's such a great getaway spot. Breakfast in the morning was also SPECTACULAR. Blueberry pancakes, bacon and eggs, with a fruit salad to start. Lorraine really treats you like family when you stay here. I would be honored to be a guest here again. Thanks so much Lorraine! The owner Marty met us outside as we were getting out of our car. What a nice and friendly person. Couldn't of been more helpful and charming. He referred us to a couple local places for dinner and helped us up to our cabin. Stunning and so not what I was expecting. Beautifully decorated, very well thought out and perfect for our small family. I'd say clean but it was beyond clean. Someone knows what they are doing here. We come up here for Limerock's Ferrari challenge every year and happened to come up upon this place accidentally. I will keep coming back here no doubt. Adorable, cute, clean, lots of room, and family friendly. We are planning another weekend getaway soon with our extended family and think this would be a wonderful retreat for all of us. The views are also great. And the breakfasts.....let me tell you about the breakfasts. Handmade by the hosts, multiple courses, all fresh local ingredients. Homemade bread and pastries, omletes with local Vermont cheese, potatoes, fresh fruits, juice, coffee....we were stuffed every morning. The only thing better than the breakfasts were the hosts themselves. Just the nicest couple you'd ever want to meet. They made themselves available for anything we needed. Donna gave us dinner recommendations and would include printed directions to the restaurants. She is so knowledgeable about all there is to do in the area. Clifford was so kind and accommodating as well. We arrived on motorcycle and he insisted on us keeping it in his garage. He also offered us his rain gear upon our departure because it was drizzling. He even followed up with us after to make sure we had arrived home safely. So in short. Beautiful accommodations. Great views. Amazing breakfast. Kind and helpful hosts. You really couldn't ask for more. I'll be staying here again for sure.

The apartment is gorgeous and spacious. It has the artistic, curated, luxurious touches of a hotel while still providing all the comforts of home. Uptown Kingston is beautiful and vibrant, with lots of bars, restaurants, banks, galleries, shops, farmers markets and coffee places all within a 5 minute walk. We had cars with us, and street parking (while tricky to find sometimes) is free at night and on weekends, plus there's a free municipal lot right down the street. Kerry and his wife are absolutely phenomenal hosts. They are endlessly helpful and friendly. An amazing place to stay, can't recommend it enough!
