My friend who gifted me the massage told me that she was sure Maria could help and she was so right! Booking my appointment was easy. I visited Maria at her Solano Ave location which was lovely, with ample street parking available. She started with a thorough chat about what I was looking for from the massage, what I wanted worked on and if there was anywhere I didn't want to be touched which I really appreciated. It was honestly some of the best bodywork I've ever had. Maria has an absolutely wonderful touch and energy. Her massage work has a beautiful flowing quality that I found quite wonderfully hypnotic. By the end of the 90 minutes I was pretty much putty. I haven't been that relaxed in years, maybe ever. It quite literally felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders! I highly recommend going to Maria if you are in need of some very therapeutic bodywork! I'll definitely be back!

When I made the appointment, she told me she wouldn't only do Ashiatsu but she would do a combination of modalities. So I said okay and went. The room smelled like thick smoke and was very messy. I wasn't sure if it was hygienic. There was nowhere to put my clothes, so to avoid throwing them on floor, I had to hang them from her doorknob. In the hour and a half I paid for, she only did 25 minutes of massage. Ashiatsu was maybe 3 minutes of that, if any. She also seemed to have no intuition about pressure and kept hurting me or going too light. I kept having to say "ouch," tell her "that's too rough" or "you can do more than that." The other hour, she was doing some kind energy stuff, which I didn't like at all. It sounded like she was wheezing really loudly above my head in order to pressure me to breathe along with her, but as time went on and there was no more massage, I just kept getting more annoyed. When I flipped onto my back, I started choking from all the smoke, so she turned on some fans. I bought my bro and sis gift certificates to see her before I went to see her myself, and I regret that. Afterwards I called and told them not to go. I'm sure she's a nice person but I gave her way too much money for a very poor experience, and I need to go get a real massage now.

I love how she taps into the past lives herself, taking the pressure off you, allowing you to retain a sense of control and ability to ask questions and take notes throughout. Even after all that, the most worthwhile takeaway for me was the energy clearing she provided at the end for my energy centers affected by all the past lives. It was super quick at the end and affected me in big positive ways that I (and my husband) noticed almost immediately. And I'm still receiving imagery from my dreams reflecting these lasting changes in my subconscious. Truly amazed. Highly recommend!
