Dr. Anna Gold is a gem. Not only is she knowledgeable and thorough in her practice, but she goes the extra steps in making the ambiance warm and healing. Anna is miracle! There are so many things she's helped me with, fertility, hormones through menopause, orthopedic issues, digestive issues, anxiety and depression. She works all this magic in a tranquil hideaway that takes you in and gives you every comfort and support. Soft lighting, music, flannel sheets, heated beds and Anna's experienced and gifted hands. Even during Covid telehealth appointments when you'd imagine not much could happen she gave instruction that created impactful change/progress. So grateful to have found Dr Gold! read more

Dr. Anna is incredibly knowledgable, yet also intuitive. Highly educated, but down to earth. Warm-hearted and funny. And completely magical. For those who don't have the great luck and privilege to see her in person (AND for those who do!), her herbal tinctures are a great gift. Each is carefully, perfectly formulated to heal and address specific challenges that face us in the modern world. I rely on BALANCE to bring peace and positivity to my days, and BUILD SLEEP to gently quiet my mind and soothe my nervous system, but I am sure, given Dr. Anna's incredible wisdom and care, that every single one is healing, nourishing, and uplifting. read more

Dr. Gold was a lifesaver during my pregnancy. I had terrible pain during and after birth. But I really do believe I was able to have a natural birth and recover because of her support. We did acupuncture religiously after the birth of my first child and she was amazing at helping learn how to recover. Now, after the birth of my second, I have been battling adrenal fatigue. She's been working on my hormonal imbalances and every time I go, I feel a shift in energy. I'm so grateful for her! read more

Anna treated me for wrist pain in 2020. When I wrote a book, I developed some chronic nerve compression from working too much. Her treatments really circulates the energy and accelerated the healing process, in combination with my physical therapy. read more

Anna Gold fundamentally changed my life. I started seeing Anna 4 years ago - I came to her with serious gut and hormonal issues. I had been resigned to constant pain and discomfort up until that point in my life and had found that no other doctor, nor modality could help. Within weeks of seeing Anna, my wellbeing dramatically shifted. Not only did Anna's work and healing fix the larger issues I came to her with, but she assists with every health problem that arises in my daily life, from a simple muscle strain, to complex hormonal imbalances, to caring for my skin. When I told her I was ready to try to become pregnant, she carefully helped me prepare my body and psyche. I got pregnant on the first try and had a very comfortable pregnancy and I attribute so much of that to Anna's work and herbal medicine. She took wonderful care of my body pre and postnatally. I believe in Anna's work so profoundly, that I have recommended her to my closest friends and family who have also all been transformed by her work and are regular clients now, as well. Anna is a brilliant acupuncturist, doctor and healer and coming before her each session is a privilege and honor. read more

I would not recommend going here for facial acupuncture. While Anna seems to have a good touch w needles on the body, she doesn't seem to know facial acupuncture so well. Or at least in my case. After everything my skin had been through in the last 5 months, she thought it was wise to put needles in my face when it was still so inflamed. She ended up causing more scarring, including keloid scarring! I can't believe I listened to her, I definitely need support in helping to make better decisions around what's best for me, my skin (that has been so traumatized). I also realized I needed my bioidentical progesterone medication more than acupuncture! Def helps w sleep and skin inflammation, more than acupuncture(for me)! read more

Anna Gold has been a true live saver. I had been seeing an acupuncturist thru UCSF as part of my overall care team thru their center for endometriosis. My challenge with going to UCSF was my inability to get regular appointments and driving all the way to UCSF. Anna has helped me manage my pain, learn ways to keep my inflammation in check, and deal with the overall body issues caused by my chronic pain. I am so thankful for her and would recommend her for anyone suffering with endometriosis or other chronic diseases. She takes the time needed and listens. read more

As a lifelong asthmatic, I'm pretty skeptical about medicines, cures, vitamins, and other fixes. But when my GP told me I'd need to take a steroidal control medication every day for the rest of my life, I started to look for other options. A friend had recommended Anna almost a year before, saying that acupuncture could improve my asthma, and I'd filed the recommendation under "maybe someday". Motivated by the steroid recommendation, I started going to see Anna in early 2012. As someone who used an albuterol inhaler multiple times a day, I figured any improvement would be good. After four weekly treatments, I went three days without using my inhaler. After another month, I went two weeks without using it. Now, almost a year later, I routinely go a week or more at a time without needing the inhaler, with attacks usually brought on only by stress, work travel, or serious athletic activity. For someone who's been asthmatic since birth, simply waking up in the morning without difficulty breathing is amazing. Anna has, without exaggeration, changed my life. That's about the best recommendation I can give. read more

I've been getting acupuncture with Anna for over 5 years. But this last treatment I had with her was so effective that I needed to write about it. I had a horribly clogged Eustachian tube and was warned by my new fave EENT ( Dr. Smart) that I shouldn't get on a plane in 2 days. Anna's diagnostic skills and attention to detail make her a top notch practitioner. I'm a needle- phoebe and a sensitive being but at this point I just wanted to get better. There were needles in my TMJ, the sides of my nose, my shoulders,.. You get the picture - BUT ALL DONE with the accuracy and gentleness of a true master. Seriously, I felt so much better after that treatment. Ana just keeps getting better and as a health practitioner (like myself,) I really appreciate her care and bedside manner. She really knows what she's doing. She's also great with the pre-post natal crowd as well as hormone balancing. read more

Quoted from my original review from 3/09: "I have been a very happy patient of Anna Hsieh Gold. She has a calming presence and can explain procedures as she works. I had to get acupuncture treatments for my back and foot and she gave me different options of treatment and explained the pros and cons of each which I appreciated, as opposed to just dictating how I would be treated. Health care is a team effort between yourself and your health-care provider and it feels good to have a professional treat you as more than a task to be checked off a list." read more

Before I saw Anna I was skeptical when it came to acupuncture, but she changed that. She is truly AMAZING. She took one look at my tongue and asked me why I haven't been sleeping. When I went to see her I was feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and exhausted which led to sleepless nights. I couldn't believe how much she could figure out by just looking at my tongue and feeling my pulse. I truly felt much more relaxed, calm, and rejuvenated after I saw Anna. Part of what makes Anna stand out besides her skill, is her upbeat personality. She has such a warm welcoming smile and is really compassionate. I immediately felt comfortable with Anna and was so fascinated by what she does and how much she knows. I left with supplements and herbs that she put together for me. Since seeing her my mind and body feel so much better. read more

I'm a regular at Gold Acupuncture and wouldn't give up this preventative routine for any price! I originally started going to Anna over 1yr ago with stress related symptoms, her treatments have played a key role in finding balance with my body, mind and spirit. She's somehow able to read what's happening in one's body and treat it accordingly whether it's through treatments or natural herb recommendations. And she's funny too!:) Have recommended her clinic to many friends and will continue to do so! read more

I have been to many great acupuncturists and have had some wonderful results, but I went to Anna with a neck and shoulder problem. I thought I knew what she was going to do because of my past experiences with other acupuncturists, but she threw something new that I have never experienced before at me. I was utterly surprised and thrilled at her treatment, ..because with the knowledge I have, I knew her treatment plan had great validity! Sure enough, by the end of the treatment, by problem was 85% cleared up and I could go back to work without suffering! Thank you, Anna for not being afraid to do something ridiculously different on me and trusting you intuition and abilities. That's what I look for and want in practitioners: someone not afraid to step outside the box and treat you in a way that intuitively speaks to them. read more

I've been seeing Anna for over 3 years and she is my most trusted, amazing, inspiring healer and confidante when it comes to health and wellness. I first started seeing her when I was trying to get pregnant - which was a long journey - but week after week we worked to get my body able and ready for pregnancy - and it worked. Anna was also able to tell the baby's gender at 8 weeks before the doctor could even tell! More recently she helped me with a pulled groin muscle which could take up to 6 weeks to heal and with her magic, it healed in about 2. Anna is so caring, honest, and knowledgeable and I can't recommend her enough! read more

In a word, Anna is unbelievable (in a good way). I'm in my early 50's and started having hot flashes about 9 months ago. Within the last 6 months, they started coming more frequently and they came with a vengeance. Within the span of about 15 seconds, my internal heat would go from 0 to about 5,000 degrees and I would be a sweaty mess at the end of it all (which is fine if you're sitting around with friends or family, but not super cool if you're in a meeting or doing something work-related). I had about six acupuncture sessions with Anna and she also put me on a regimen of some dried herbs, that you make into a muddy tea-like drink and (I swear), those hot flashes stopped. Entirely. Admittedly, I was a little skeptical when I initially called Anna, but I am a devoted convert now and would recommend her to anybody without a moment's hesitation. In fact, Anna was so effective, that I think I'd try her first for any malady before I went to a regular doctor. In addition to the incredible results, there were two giant pluses for me: (1) Anna is down to earth, funny and super easy to talk to; and (2) the acupuncture sessions were so relaxing that I fell asleep each time. As far as I'm concerned, there are few things greater in life than a solid power nap in the middle of the day. read more

Anna takes what ails ye and heals it with needles, or glass vacuum balls. Right ankle sprain. Needles. Boom. Sorted. Left ankle sprain. Needles. Advice. Boom. Sorted. Oh, and her office is just blocks from all you can eat Indian buffet. I'm into that, so it's a plus. "Anna is highly recommended! Five Stars." -Me (2015) read more

Dr. Gold is one of the few doctors that I trust fully with my health. She is thoughtful and attentive. I trust the herbs and products that she uses to treat me and I always feel so much better after a treatment with her. I tend to go to her before my western doctor as she actually takes the time to listen and to ask questions, and is well versed in what lab work I may need as well. Thank you Dr. Gold! read more

Anna is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate and generous with her time and energy. I suffered from insomnia for years and after seeing Anna for just a few weeks, I have been able to sleep through the night! Anna listens well and helps figure out the whole health picture. Her treatments are calming and relaxing. Anna's recommendations are approachable and doable and make an huge difference in improving your well being. Her office is a sanctuary-beautiful and peaceful. Though she is always booked, you feel she gives you her full attention and the time you need to be heard and worked on. I continue to see Anna for various other reasons because she makes my life better and I cannot recommended her enough! read more

I saw Dr. Anna Gold for acupuncture in July of 2018 for two issues: orthopedic knee pain (I'm a runner) and because my husband and I were trying to get pregnant and I'd heard from several OBGYNs that acupuncture can help with fertility. We had been "trying" since January but hadn't been successful so I figured it was worth a try. And, Dr. Gold happens to accept my insurance so I thought I might as well give acupuncture a shot. I saw Dr. Gold for 20ish minutes on two separate occasions that month and, voila (!), we conceived in July, the month I visited her. We are expecting a baby boy in April. Additionally, she completely took care of my knee pain. read more

Anna is a very good acupuncturist and she is extremely knowledgable about alternative medicine. She is also great at combining western and eastern approaches. Both her practices are welcoming, clean and relaxing. My husband and I have been seeing Anna for different health issues and we've both made great progress. Also, it's hard to believe that she is kind enough to deal with the insurance companies. A lot of acupuncturists in San Francisco at her calibre don't even want to bother with them. Thank you Anna for being there for us! read more

I feel so lucky to have found Gold Accupuncture. Their Berkeley office is an oasis- such a tranquil retreat every time. I love how each visit is customized based on your specific needs. Anna Gold works magic. She's knowledgeable, kind and fully present. Throughout my pregnancy, my visits have made me feel energized and more relaxed. After a stiff neck from camping, she did some cupping that gave relief right away. I can't recommend her enough! read more

For Anna, words cannot adequately express how wonderful she is. I was an acupuncture virgin before I met her and now I'm hooked. I tell everyone I know about Anna. I've been seeing Anna since December 2009 and she has helped me tremendously with digestion issues, neck & shoulder pain, and lower back pain. She's patient, kind, caring, knowledgeable, and effective. I highly recomomend her. Can you tell? read more

I was referred to Anna when we found out that I had some fertility hurdles to overcome in order to get pregnant. She was a breath of fresh air from the moment I met her. Anna has such a comforting way about her, not to mention that she's super funky and hip... made me feel right at home. Of course you can never be certain, but I am convinced her work with me helped us get pregnant much quicker than the doctors had told us it would take. I continued to see her throughout my pregnancy and she helped with all of the common pregnancy related ailments, plus provided me a solid nap each time I was on her table. More importantly she was such a fabulous support and coach - almost like my therapist! I highly recommend Anna! read more

I was so excited when Anna Hsieh Gold became the acupuncturist at Earth and Sky! She is the best. She's young and hip but also very experienced and professional--a nice mix. She has healed me of the following ailments: ankle sprain, back injury, shoulder soreness, pms, depression, and I'm sure a ton of others I can't remember. I would recommend her to anyone who's a little nervous but curious about acupuncture, as well as regular devotees who just need a great healer. read more

I have seen Anna many times over the last few years, and am finally writing a review! She is an amazing healer. She mainly helped me with fertility treatment and pregnancy support, but along the way she also addressed neck and upper back soreness, cramps, wrist pain, as well as overall health. Anna is very knowledgeable, and adept at explaining treatment procedures. Her soothing demeanor relieves anxiety - you know you are in good hands. Thanks so much, Anna! read more

Anna is truly magical. I've had asthma for most of my life but the last couple years I started to lose the battle. Docs kept increasing dosages and adding more to my growing list of meds. The side effects were awful and the steroids jacked up my immune system so I was constantly getting sick. The first time I saw Anna I immediately felt relief. I could finally breath and see some light at the end of the tunnel. Now 6 months later I am off all meds except my rescue inhaler which I hardly use and I'm not getting sick as often. Like I said, MAGICAL! read more

I went to Anna for help conceiving. I was seeing her for 6 months before I got pregnant, then periodically throughout my pregnancy. I cannot rate her highly enough! I trust her completely and will return to her regularly once I can spend a little time away from my newborn baby!! read more

I can't praise her enough! Anna is an amazing acupuncturist, communicates well and truly cares about her patients. She totally connects with you on a personal and professional level. Anna is a wonderful person whose calming and friendly presence makes you feel comfortable and especially she is super hip. I always love the shoes she wears After my first acupuncture treatment, Anna was very detailed and asked thorough questions about my lifestyle, stress, health, conditions, etc. She took the time to create the full picture of my health in order to move forward with treatment. She explained the needles, the meridians, my Qi, and more. She was very patient in answering my questions about treatment procedures. In addition to acupuncture, she also prescribed traditional Chinese herbs in powder form to supplement my treatment which is totally a time-saver to me! I am grateful that she understood that I couldn't give up coffee so she tried to come up with different alternatives. After seeing Anna for almost 6 months, I can feel that my health has greatly improved and I look forward to continuing to see her. Anna, thank you so much for being supportive and patient! I can't resist to write another review for her because she really cares about her patients and formulates an alternative treatment plan that makes more sense than western doctors. I feel more relaxed in confiding in her about my condition than my regular doctor and she makes me feel that I can improve my health by changing life style and watching my diet instead of popping pills. thank you again, Anna! read more

Anna is so good at what she does. I was an acupuncture newbie, and frankly, a skeptic (I tried it on the recommendation of a couple of friends out of desperation with a medical condition), and I have to say that I am a convert. Anna Gold has that certain finess that makes her a great healer. She is knowledgeable, intuitive and creative while being sympathetic, caring and easy to talk to. The sessions were long and sometime uncomfortable, but Anna never lost her patience with me if I complained. I was 40 weeks pregnant afterall and a bit moody! I highly reccomend Anna. read more

I've experienced some serious physical trauma in the past year: a slipped joint in my pelvis and a broken shoulder with loss of nerve function. I also had a chronic hip and foot arch issue for 7 years. It's hard to overstate what Anna has done for me. Literally waking up nerves, releasing muscles frozen for years, and simply providing pain relief. My other body-workers - a Chiropractor, Podiatrist, and Physical Therapist have all commented on the impressive progress I've made. I attribute much of this to Anna and her understanding of how to work through the phases of my traumas and recovery. And, for the skeptics: In my experience, the needles aren't randomly placed to attain some mystical harmony and a placebo relief: they are precise surgical instruments that activate nerves and stimulate muscles in lasting ways. Thanks Anna. read more

I was feeling run down and a little stuffy. I thought I could be coming down with a cold, or even worse, the flu! I made an appointment to see Anna as soon as I felt the symptoms coming on. She is so skilled at what she does that my symptoms were completely gone the next day and I felt energized! Needless to say I didn't get sick! And guess what, my husband did and he's been in bed for the last three days. I'm grateful to Anna and my health! read more

I've been seeing Anna for almost a year... She has been a god send throughout my pregnancy and post natal experience. It started around my 20th week of pregnancy when I had gallbladder pains, I was concerned about developing gallstones. As my pregnancy became more and more high risk; gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, eventual preeclampsia and bed rest-- I worked with Anna weekly to keep my symptoms in check. She always had a great attitude and a genuine empathy that made me so relieved to have her in my corner. After my daughter's premature birth and subsequent NICU stay, I'm convinced I was able to breastfeed only because of her assistance. Even now when I have supply issues, a treatment and supplements from her improve my milk supply within a day. I don't hesitate to evangelize Anna's abilities and look forward to my treatments from her. I will absolutely go back to her before, during, and after my next pregnancy. read more
