I am very picky with the type of makeup that I wear and honestly have never liked any professional make up job I have had before sooo I was very concerned about having my wedding makeup done. I never ever wear makeup. The only time I ever wear make up is for other peoples weddings which has left me a bit scarred as past make up application experiences have made me unrecognizable to my entire family (think my big fat greek wedding, "wipe don't dab"). When I had Jennifer do my make up she listened to my desire to look natural asked a few questions about my current make up routine (which is nonexistent) and I held my breath expecting the same experiences I had had in the past. While she was working on my face we fell into a natural conversation and banter. She is utterly disarming. I felt right at ease with her. She surprised me by telling me I wouldn't need heavy foundation or contouring, and to avoid looking "cakey" as I had told her, she would use a light application of translucent powder. My excitement began to rise, as did my hope for a positive experience. She said to look like I had make up done but not over the top she would focus on one feature, I choose eyes, and go simple everywhere else. When she was done and held the mirror up to my face I still looked like me, but better... much better and I felt gorgeous!
