    Grandest Gatherings

Danielle is a miracle worker. 2020 has brought so much stress into my life, never mind trying to…read moreget married this year. We finally decided to elope and even that stressed me out. Danielle took ALL of that stress away and delivered the most amazing day. I didn't have to worry about finding vendors and interviewing/getting quotes, she was able to help me with that which was so appreciated. Trying to plan this day from states away would have been near impossible without the help from Grandest Gatherings. Danielle has such style and a mind for design and colors. I wanted to be surprised the day of and she completely delivered. Our picnic was stunning, she thought of every little detail even down to having a sleeping pad under the blanket to make sure we were comfortable. As if having someone plan out your elopement and hiking about 3 miles round trip while lugging a charcuterie board and pillows wasn't enough, she's such a friendly bubbly person! I felt like we were friends right away. I'm currently looking for reasons to have her plan another event because it was that magical.

For more details as to why Danielle is one of the best humans around, please read on... After our wedding was postponed due to the pandemic, and our first attempt at an international elopement was canceled, we decided to elope in the Catskills.  With six weeks notice, Danielle was able to help us coordinate and design an incredible elopement, including the ceremony, brunch, and dinner.  Leading up to our elopement, we were in close communication with Danielle, discussing our priorities and what type of design we were looking for.  We went back and forth on design elements, and she welcomed our input.  Danielle was able to curate an elopement based on our budget and wants and was genuinely excited during the entire process.  She wanted this day to be just as memorable as we did.   Danielle coordinated with vendors on our behalf, coordinating a greenery runner for dinner with the existing florist that we were already working with for our bouquet and boutonniere. She found vendor options for brunch and dinner, taking into account our food preferences, and presented us with a wide range to choose from based on our budget.  She was also able to use her network to find us the perfect charcuterie board to compliment our dinner.   The day before our elopement, Danielle and our photographer scouted for the perfect brunch location.  We're told that she cleaned algae and pools of water off of the designated brunch rock at the waterfall so that it would be dry the next day (it had rained the day before).  The day of our elopement, Danielle lugged everything for brunch down to the waterfall (she's a beast!) and had it all set up for us when we arrived after our mountain ceremony.  She also kindly shooed people away from the spot that she had so meticulously picked out the day before.  Danielle was in constant communication with our photographer, so that she knew exactly when we would be arriving.   While the design of our brunch was absolutely stunning (plating of food, candles, pillows, blankets, even a comfy pad to sit on), it was the little touches that really impressed us.  Danielle got us fresh coffee when the existing coffee from our brunch vendor had just sat out too long and had some additional surprises in store.  She picked out a location that gave us the most amazing view of the waterfall while enjoying chicken and waffles and prosecco.  A few hours after brunch, Danielle arrived at our Airbnb to start arranging everything for our dinner.  We left for a sunset hike and Danielle went to work.  She completely redesigned the patio of our Airbnb (with the host's permission) for the most intimate and perfect elopement dinner, including moving a very large gas grill, table, patio furniture, etc.  She even restrung the host's bistro lights so that it was a continuous line of lit bulbs with the burned out lights out of view! Danielle ordered our dinner for us on our elopement day and helped us pivot when the original restaurant closed for the day unexpectedly.  I can't forget to mention that Danielle is a serious fire whisperer!  She started fires for us the night before our elopement and the night of and took over maintaining it on our elopement so that we could relax and enjoy the evening.  She can seriously do it all. While we had a schedule of events for the day, the communication between Danielle and our photographer allowed for the timeline to shift so that to us, everything seemed to occur seamlessly even when we were "off schedule" by an hour, which I know is no easy task.  Danielle surprised us with so many additional touches on our elopement day, surprises that I feel I shouldn't list so that future clients get to experience the same joy that we did when we discovered the additional touches. I'm betting that she also did so many additional little things that we had no idea about. And it honestly felt like we were hanging out with a friend that was busting their butt to give us the most amazing elopement day.  Seriously. Danielle is absolutely amazing and made our elopement so incredibly special and memorable.  Stop reading this review and go book Grandest Gatherings for your next event NOW! Et Cetera Event Company

    Et Cetera Event Company

    (1 review)

Wanted to let folks know about my experience with Jerica Dziki, owner of Et Cetera Event Company,…read morewhich she claims is a "professional" company on her home page (https://www.etceteraeventco.com). I will be following up with a formal complaint against her, the "wedding coordinator" as she did not follow through on her obligations at our daughter's wedding on June 9, 2018. I must say my daughter had a great wedding but for me, due to Jerica's company not following through on the "event break down and clean up to venue standards" as described per Addendum A of the contract, I was charged a $1050 fee on June 24, 2018 for lost merchandise (napkins) from Borrowed Blu, LLC. In having a "wedding planner", it is customary for the client to obtain services for caterers, rental agencies, wedding officiants, ministers, musicians, bands, DJ's, entertainment, photographers and cinematographers, pastry chefs, hotels, lodges and private estate properties. The job of the "wedding coordinator" is to plan out all the details of the event. Among many things for the wedding, we needed items for the dinner, i.e., all tabletop needs such as napkins, dishes, glassware, silverware, etc. Borrowed Blu is a company on her "list of preferred rental agencies" and Jerica requested I used them so I did. Jerica obtained the items she needed from Borrowed Blu as I paid for the rental of the items. Jerica was also responsible for the return of these items but the napkins were never returned per Borrowed Blu. A month after the wedding, I noticed a charge of $1050 on my credit card and I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I had no idea why I had this charge and thought this must be an issue between Jerica and Borrowed Blu. Shortly after, I got in touch with Jerica and discussed this issue where she admitted it was her company's fault for the charge. Jerica explained that she was also charged the $1050 fee and that she'd take care of the matter. I thought that was strange that one of preferred companies was trying to get two payments for the lost merchandise. I asked that she send me a receipt of some kind showing that she paid the fee so I could show my credit card company that Borrowed Blu had collected the required fee and then my credit card company would relieve me of the charge. Several months passed and I never received a statement from Jerica. I contacted her several times about sending me a receipt and she finally let us know that she mistakenly thought she had paid the lost merchandise fee. Meanwhile the charge went through on my credit card. So she agreed to pay me back the $1050 but asked for a payment plan as she was having some life changing issues. I liked her at the time and she did a great job for my daughter's wedding, so I agreed that she could pay me back $100 a month via Venmo, at the beginning of each month, starting in August. Her first payment finally arrived on August 22nd ($200) which was for both August and September. The beginning of October came and went. My wife and I texted her and called her several times reminding her of our agreement. She finally Venmo'ed me $100 on October 22nd and then again on October 29th (for November's payment). At this point, I had collected a total of $400. December 1st came and went. Again my wife and I texted her multiple times and I finally got reply's from her telling me to stop harassing her and claiming that I probably threw the napkins away. She became very unprofessional as a business woman and her attitude pissed me off. In her last text, she told me to sue her for the money she owes and now will not respond to any text messages or phone calls. Needless to say, it's unfortunate that I have had to take the time to write this up but I felt the need to warn all potential clients that it'd be best to find another wedding/event coordinator as Jerica is not as great as her website makes her out to be. Be warned!!!
