I admit it.
I have extremely high expectations, very detail oriented and can be as my husband says "a pitbull" when people don't follow through on what they say they will.
Even with all that, I absolutely ADORED working with Jennifer Dacquisto from JC Financial.
I found out about her through a referral and after having gone through buying our 1st home 2 year ago (good experience with that mortgage broker), as well as our last refinancing process last summer I knew what could go wrong and what could go right.
Our last refinancing was a nightmare. They told me all the right things, but the process was so convoluted, redundant (they lost my paperwork that was EMAILED so many times that I lost count) and misleading that I swore I wouldn't ever go through it again.
However with our son in preschool we needed to work on our budget a bit and try to find a way to save $ and our journey back into refinance land.
HOWEVER, this time with Jennifer it was a completely different story:
(1) She gave the best rate by far. Even our 1st mortgage broker who I also liked said he couldn't beat her rate and to go with her.
(2) She made is so easy. She came to our house to pick up paperwork (no need for me to spend hours scanning and emailing), drop off documents, whatever I needed to make it a simple process she did
(3) Extremely accessible and prompt. No delay whatsoever... I would get an answer within hours
(4) Very detail oriented with great follow through. Whenever she tried to contact me she would BOTH call me and leave me a message on my VM as well as email to make sure nothing fell through the crack
(5) Patient and very kind. Towards the end of the refinancing I got cold feet because I had read some bad reviews on my potential new lender. I told her about my concerns and without me prompting her, she took it on herself to read the reviews, read the fine points in the pending contract as well as the lender's website and contact the lender and get me written confirmation to ease my concern.
(6) Not pushy. As I mentioned with my cold feet some brokers would have done a hard sell. Jennifer didn't...she did the work needed to ease my concerns but also made it clear that if at any moment I wanted to stop that we could, even though it meant she lost a commission after spending hours working with me.
(7) Able to work with some difficult conditions. I had a secondary loan via my employer and that secondary loan had some clauses that made most lenders jumpy. However she was able to find one who accepted this secondary loan and took care of all the subordination process (unlike my prior lender where I had to do all the legwork!)
She REALLY is great!
Summary: I ended up with at 3.625% jumbo loan, 30 year fixed with no closing cost. Happy me. read more
