Josephine, founder of JC Financial, is a first-rate mortgage broker who goes to great lengths to help her clients. She is head-and-shoulders above all the other mortgage brokers or bank loan officers I dealt with. Several months ago I decided to get a home equity loan because of the low interest rate. I contacted several brokers before Josephine, but none could help me. Some tried hard sell. Some had trouble because I had a private mortgage. Others wouldn't because their computers gave a very wide range for my home's value. Josephine was different. She and I discussed in detail about my mortgage and my reasons for wanting a home equity loan. She also visited my neighborhood, saw my home and neighbors', and estimated my home's worth herself. Once she had all the information, she put together several options for me. In addition to the home equity loan, she suggested arrangements that would lower the interest rates on all loans. However application was interrupted by my yard renovation, but Josephine managed to defuse that problem. The project was for a total renovation of front and back yards and couldn't be rescheduled. Sensing mortgage rates were rising and project would take longer than projected, Josephine suggested me to extend the rate lock for as long as possible. She also rescheduled the appraisal to just a week before rate lock expiration. Meanwhile, she pointed out areas for the contractor to focus on, so the appraiser saw an orderly project on the way to completion and not just piles of rocks and dirt. Amazingly, she also found a way to cover the fees for the rate extension. All in all, working Josephine was a great experience.
