I came in with my realtor at $788,000 all cash no contingencies and closing in 25 days, because Helen said there were multiple bids. They said if I came in at $800,000 the land was mine. I came in at $800,000, but since they were asking me to go up in price, I thought I would ask if they would give me more time for the closing. They said yes. I thought the deal was done except for all our signatures. My husband and I then signed ahead of the deadline of noon on Sunday. At 11:45, before the deadline, we were told we didn't get the land! We were shocked!!! We were told someone came in with a better deal. Well, I just found out the land sold for $721,000! MUCH LESS than what I was willing and able to pay! THIS WAS NOT A BETTER DEAL! Helen never even came back to me to negotiate and honor my original offer! TALK ABOUT NOT DOING WHAT WAS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF HER CLIENT!

Nahid was the seller's agent when we bought our house. After living in the residence for some years…read morenow, we have discovered a lot of things that were not exactly true, or were covered up. The seller's inspection was a joke. We spent over $100k taking care of failing infrastructure problems that were either left out of the inspection or with seemingly false suggested mitigations. We had our own inspection done after purchase, and the inspector found a large number of issues that call into question the integrity or competence of the seller's inspector. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS AGENT WITHOUT INSISTING ON YOUR OWN INSPECTION. The property was apparently listed much too high for some time, and the seller was forced to drop the price significantly. Even then it stayed on the market for a long time, until we put in an offer, which the seller accepted. Our agent found out through the grapevine that after our offer was accepted, Nahid started shopping around trying to find a taker at the old listing price in a last ditch attempt to make more money. This is unethical behavior at least, perhaps illegal. I wonder what she would have done if she had found a taker at the higher price even though we already had a deal with the seller? Use caution if purchasing from this agent, though if you're a seller who doesn't care about ethics and wants maximum dollar for your property, perhaps this might be the agent for you.

Jen was super friendly, knowledgeable and had a bunch of great ideas and suggestions. We hired her! After we'd signed the contract and agreed to a retainer, she told us someone else from her team would actually be our main point of contact. We were bummed because we thought we'd be working directly with Jen, but probably our fault for not asking specifically what the arrangement would be. We figured anyone on her team would be just as awesome as her. Unfortunately, as soon as the design process started I realized that was not the case. Our designer was very nice, but seemed very inexperienced and unclear on which steps were supposed to happen when. We'd have long zoom calls (that I was getting billed for) where I tried to explain my design style and what I was looking for. After each call, I'd panic a little as I just felt no confidence coming from her, and was not assured she'd actually be able to help guide me through the home design process. I even called Jen after one call and asked her "am I this designer's very first client?", because the woman seemed so nervous and unsure when working with me. Jen said she'd been with her team for a year and a half... hmm.. After I received my floor plans I knew it was time to pull the plug. The furniture layout made no sense for my space, the measurements were wrong, etc. I called Jen to complain and she more or less said "we would have gotten the measurements right if you paid us for more hours". So after many many hours of working with The Home Co, I canceled the contract and have nothing to show for it. Just bad floor plans and a uninspired mood board. I still have 2 hours left from my retainer and have reached out to Jen twice to try and utilize that time sourcing at least one item for my home so it's not all a complete waste. She continues to either ignore my emails, or when I follow up she'll say "I'll get back to you" but it's been over a week now and I'm feeling no love. This was my first time working with a professional designer and probably my last - too disappointing :-(
