Dr. ore listens carefully, better than any other doctor I have had. I don't have to sit in the waiting room for a long time, yesterday I was in the exam room two minutes early. My doctor takes whatever time is necessary to give me the attention that I need. One would have to go a long time and distance to find any better medical care if that is possible. Dr. Dore was able to find solutions to some of my long-standing medical problems. I am totally satisfied with the care that I receive and as I age more, I am fully satisfied that I will get the best care and attention as I continue down my path to old age whatever that is.

Unfortunately, my experience over the last few years changed my opinion of the practice. A few years ago, the clinic switched to a membership model that required patients to pay approximately $300 per year just to remain a patient. That decision created a major issue with my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, which would no longer work with the clinic under that arrangement. As a result, I was forced to change my health insurance just so I could continue seeing my primary care physician after more than a decade as a patient. Even after paying the annual membership fee, I only saw my doctor once or twice a year for routine checkups. Paying hundreds of dollars every year simply for the privilege of remaining a patient never made sense to me. The final straw was how my billing was handled. The clinic stopped collecting my approximately $40 copay at the time of each visit and instead mailed me a bill afterward. I admit that I should have paid those bills when I received them. That's on me. However, according to the letter I received from the clinic, they had become frustrated that they had to call me to collect payment for these balances. From my perspective, it was confusing because these were small balances that could have easily been collected while I was standing at the front desk, as many medical offices routinely do. It seems like collecting the copay during the visit would have been easier and less expensive than mailing statements and making collection calls. I'm not sure why this became such a significant issue when it could have been avoided by simply collecting the payment at check-in or check-out. Instead of working with me to resolve the issue after 12 years as a loyal patient, the clinic chose to terminate our relationship. That was extremely disappointing. I have since learned that the practice was sold. Looking back, the move to a mandatory membership model felt like the practice became more focused on revenue than on maintaining long-term relationships with established patients. Whether or not that was the intention, that's certainly how it felt as someone who had been a loyal patient for over a decade. I hope other patients carefully consider whether paying an annual membership fee is worthwhile, especially if they only need routine preventive care. I also hope Washington continues to monitor concierge-style medical practices to ensure they remain transparent and patient-focused. After 12 years, I expected better communication, more flexibility, and a greater appreciation for patient loyalty.

There are surgeons. And there are SURGEONS…read more I can't imagine what it is like to do Dr. Hubka's job. Every day when he wakes up he is tasked with saving lives. Only select human beings can handle that pressure. Vulnerability runs high in patients that have to undergo surgery and so it is important that they trust their surgeon. I trust Dr. Hubka and I believe all his patients feel the same way. That is a testament to who he is as a person not just as a surgeon. To do what very few people can do, in a way that not a lot of people can, and to do it with compassion is simply amazing. I am confident if I had any other surgeon my outcome would have been different. This surgery was not easy, I know this to be true. But because his precision and skill are unmatched in his field, I am healing at record pace. I am thankful my Pulmonologist in Kitsap County sent me to Virginia Mason and I was able to have Dr. Hubka as my Thoracic Surgeon. Dr. Hubka and his team are trustworthy, kind, skilled, and there is know other place I would go for care for the rest of my life.

Amy developed an effective action plan that led to pain free running and carrying. Amy listened carefully to where my pain was located and provided great exercises for me to do to strengthen the necessary muscles. I am now running pain free and able to carry my daughter without any problems. Amy was great at helping me get back to my active lifestyle and teaching me how to strengthen my body. Due to my complex medical history, three different doctors referred me to a rheumatologist. I chose to schedule an appointment with Dr. Kramm based on her positive online reviews, but I felt unwelcomed from the moment she walked through the door. She barely made eye contact, didn't ask follow-up questions as I explained my symptoms, and refused to look at the medical images I brought to reference. Instead, she simply copied past notes from other providers into my chart and told me she could not do anything more for me, dismissing me back to my previous doctors. She was incredibly short with me, insisted she wasn't the right fit, and even suggested I shouldn't have come to see her in the first place. When I asked for a clear reason why she couldn't help me, she couldn't give me one. I absolutely do not recommend her. Now, it's back to square one.

The physicians I visited prior to Dr. Kramm, all provided me good information with regards to relieving my symptoms. However, Dr. Kramm was the first doctor to spend over 40 minutes looking up and diagnosing my prior lab results (blood panels etc.,) and authoritatively providing me with a diagnosis and a series of future tests and steps I needed to take. She was exceptionally kind and patient with me; she explained everything in a way I could understand. I couldn't be more thankful and grateful. I would sing the praises of Dr. Kramm and the University of Washington, Montlake to everyone I know. My visit with Dr. Kramm, greatly exceeded my expectations. She is literally my lifesaver. Knowing she was at the helm of my treatment plan, gave me hope that I could live more normally and longer with my potentially life -threatening disease.
