Don't tell them you've been dress shopping, they'll immediately change their behavior and do everything to get you out. You're wasting their time now since you didn't choose them as your first stop in dress hunting. I didn't like all the questions about the person I am going to marry, I didn't like being asked over and over why I wanted to be alone during the dress process (I didn't bring my family/friend) and that I would regret not having anyone with me. I was regretting being there at all, not that I was alone (which was my personal choice). The website says customized dresses, yet when I was trying dresses on asking what can be changed (nothing) I asked to see the designers that allow customization. There are non so I asked why does the website say custom dresses, I was now confused. At that point I was told to "go back to your other dress stores" (again, I said I had already started the dress shopping experience) and I was out of there in under 20 minutes. I was shocked and the lack of professionalism. I was confused about info on the website vs reality. I was extremely disappointed- and I drove over 1 hr to get there. I'd say skip if you don't want to be berated, made to feel like a looser and if you want a place that offers more options. read more

Jenna is so friendly and makes you feel like your wedding day is the most important to not only the bride but to her. She recommends that you try on several different styles to provide options but she has the experience to recognize when the bride finds the gown she has fallen in love with. Great bridal boutique that should be on everyone's radar! Making an appointment with them was seamless and incredibly easy. My family and I were greeted by incredibly friendly staff who asked me for my visions and provided a wide variety of gowns to choose from. I felt very pampered and listened to during the entire experience. Another huge plus is that this boutique frequently offers discounts on their dresses ($400 off during your first visit) and you are able to bargain a bit for a price within your budget, which not everyone will do! Most dresses here were priced around $2k. The only reason I'm taking off a star is because I felt very pushed to purchase a dress on the spot. I came in 11 months before my wedding and was told that I was already "too late" and that I needed to choose right away. I didn't appreciate the guilt, as it was the first boutique I ever visited and simply needed more time. I didn't end up purchasing my dress here. Overall, a lovely place to visit but I wish they weren't as pushy! read more

This was a horrible experience for our bride and the entire wedding party. All of her bridesmaids came from out of town/state, both mothers and grandma came to enjoy the day. We were insulted, not allowed to suggest dresses or make comments without being mocked by staff. When the mother of the bride made a comment they pulled a dress that made the bride look like a prostitute at a renaissance fair as a form of mockery. They even yelled at the grandmother. As soon as I walked in Heather was able to look me up and down and relay what kind of style I was going for. I then gave her suggestions for style, color, shape etc. and we began narrowing down different dresses. We tried on dress after dress, and after each dress she was able to take the one thing I loved about a certain dress and implement it into the next until I found one that had everything I was searching for!! A cute little welcome sign definitely makes you feel special so was extremely hopeful. Jenna pulled tons she envisioned from my vision board and we got to trying on. We tried on all shapes and styles to help rule out and I just KNEW when I put the one on. She asked questions to get to know me as a person and not just a sale! Booking an appointment was easy. They have space for two brides and their groups, I was fortunate to have a time without another bride. They were helpful in picking dresses that I had described and even allowed me to text them some inspo pics a few days before. As usual, she pulled one that was a little out of my comfort zone, still within budget, and that was the one I fell in love with and took home same day! I had a horrible experience shopping at Jenna in White in Berkley. I worked with Heather, who is the manager of the store, and from beginning to end, the staff was rude and pushy. They were extremely impatient because they wanted to close for the day and made me feel very rushed in my appointment. They insisted that I needed to order my dress as soon as possible because there was not enough production time, even though I was over a year away from my wedding date. I ended up being pushed into purchasing a dress that was in no way what I was looking for. (The dress I was forced into buying ended up coming in 6 months early so the pressure to order definitely feels like a scam.) They dismissed any of my hesitations I made me feel very uncomfortable in my appointment. I am hoping to be able to sell the dress I purchased here and move past this frustrating and stressful experience. I highly recommend wedding dress shopping somewhere else. If you are looking for a bridal shop where the employees will listen to you, make you feel comfortable and help you have an enjoyable experience dress shopping for your perfect dress, this is not the place for you. I definitely would not recommend this store to anyone I know. read more

I got married in September 2018. I made an appointment here at Jenna in White, one of the two shops I was able to make an appointment with AND who could accommodate a very tight timeline (about a month from order to delivery date). I had lost about 80lbs in just over 6 months so I had no choice but to wait to buy a dress. Thankfully, Jenna was able to cram me into her schedule one morning opening earlier than usual to accomodate and I was able to buy a dress the same day! The shop itself is very cute, tastefully updated and intimate. I could see it feeling over crowded if I had any more than two friends there with me for feedback and support so keep that in mind if you have a large bridal party - maybe just bring two or three people. Jenna pulled nothing for me other than the dresses she'd be able to have delivered within the tight timeline which was very helpful. There was a good selection of different silhouettes, materials, styles. I chose an unusual, large, heavy lace which is beautiful and it held up well to the prickly and rough volcanic cliff side terrain in Hawaii. I personally wouldn't have thought to even try this style dress if a friend hadn't pulled it for me. The longer I wore it, the more I liked it. All of the staff I delt with on my appointment date and dress pick up were friendly and happy to help and patient. The only thing I was a little surprised by was when I picked up my dress and tried it on. ..it still fit like a paper bag even through it was made to my personal measurements (length, bust, waist, hips). I hadn't anticipated the amount of alterations I'd still need done, primarily in the waist and bum but it all worked out in the end. I had taken it to a local alteration shop at Jenna's recommendation and also with her calling ahead to the shop so they were on the up-and-up regarding my timeline requirements. I think I paid the shop a premium for the expedited service but they were a phenomenal couple to work with as well. I would recommend Jenna in White to a friend. read more

I got engaged June 2023. I went to Jenna in White July 2023 where I had Renah as my sales associate. She definitely hustles for the commission which is commendable however there were many things that went wrong. For one, I have very specific taste. She told me "try on dresses you wouldn't normally," which to her defense, is fair however I have never ever wanted a strapless dress and that is unfortunately what my dress turned into. I was sold on this idea of this strapless dress adding buttons to have detachable straps (knowing I'd never remove them). I ordered the dress July, being told I was already behind (ladies, I was absolutely not). Come November I go to pick up my dress and there were no sleeves. I believe the owner was in that day and told my mom and I that the straps we were promised were actually a different color, different material and different company than who made my dress and ordering new straps may not be possible but they would "try." Oh important to note Renah was there at that time and wouldn't make eye contact with me or my mom and the store tried saying there were no straps until I pulled up the picture my mom took of me with the stress and straps from a few months prior. Well they did pull through, the straps came in end of January. I went to the alterations place they recommended and long story short since this review isn't about them., they made the straps SNAP on. I lifted my arms up and they just said "just keep your arms down." Well the straps lasted on my wedding day until we were announced husband and wife and my arm went up for the kiss and off snapped the strap. It happened again walking into the reception so I ended up just having a strapless dress and having to continuously pull it up all night. Very unfortunate. Moral of the story and this review is ladies if you know what you want don't let someone else sway you into something you know you would not want to have. read more

I was able to say yes to the dress today thanks to, Heather, at Jenna In White. Going into my first bridal dress experience, I had no idea what my "style" was or what kind of dresses I would even want to try on. Heather was extremely patient, helpful and really helped narrow down what styles I liked. I would just love to express how amazing my experience was at Jenna In White picking out my bridal gown! I worked w/ Courtney and she was so sweet and amazing and very helpful! She was very easy to talk to and understood exactly what I wanted and was looking for! She helped me in and out of dresses and even took pictures w/ my iPhone as well for me so that I could get a better idea of what I'd look like in my dress and in photos. Every person on staff had a mask on and also as soon as me and my guests came in they gave us hand sanitizer to put on and nothing felt rushed! I tried on at least about 5 gowns and didn't feel like I had to rush to select or rush to get out of the dresses either because we weren't on limited time framing. Courtney's suggestions for veils and also what alterations could be made helped soothe my wedding brain. I also met and spoke w/ Jenna and she's amazing they were both really down to Earth and gave honest opinions on how each dress looked that they seen me try on. I also love how flexible the payment options are as well so I didn't feel pressured to purchase everything at once! I did go in knowing I was going to be over budget but it's worth it I've found my dream gown! Thanks to the staff for making me feel so welcomed and being a huge help this is one thing for me to check off my bridal planning checklist and it's the second most important thing to me. Jenna In White is a tiny shop located in Berkley, but they have an amazing collection of dresses and their staff is top notch. All of the ladies working the weekend we shopped were extremely friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, and tried to make the experience special for each bride. We were greeted the moment we walked inside and they took the time to discuss the vision for the wedding and look at photos of dresses the bride loved. Jenna herself was at the shop and went to work selecting dresses while also allowing us to choose what we were drawn to. They had two fitting rooms with curtains that transformed into the viewing area when the curtain was pulled back. This ensured that each bride had several mirrors and a small pedestal to look at her dress and show it off to family and friends, which was absolutely perfect. It also helped to make sure that the sales associates could give personalized attention to both brides instead of struggling with multiple brides like other shops we visited. We tried on dresses here first and then left to go to two other shops. The staff wasn't pushy and never pressured us to buy at their store, and we ended up returning to purchase the first dress our bride tried on. The atmosphere, staff, and dress selection was much better here than at the other two shops, and we were very satisfied with our dress choice. Jenna In White was the second dress shop that I had gone to and I was immediately blown away by the service I received. Prior to changing my original wedding date (which would only leave a few months to find a dress and have alterations) the owner worked with me over the phone to look up which dresses she could order in time for my wedding and gave me a list to look up to see if the available dresses were my style. I did end up pushing my date back which opened up so many more options once I arrived at the store. My sales person, Renee, was absolutely fabulous. Within minutes of introducing ourselves it felt like we were long time friends. I was so comfortable trying on dresses with her and she knew my style so well that I ended up buying the first dress she had me try on. Wedding planning is a beast on its own and this boutique definitely made my wedding planning a lot more easier. My wedding was in April 2019 and I started planning for my wedding in the middle and towards the end of November 2018. I got my dress in the middle of February which gave me plenty of time to get my dress altered. I agree with all of the positive reviews for Jenna in White. I'm a rather picky person in that I typically do not like sales people and her team definitely were not like sales people - they are more like cool friends that you can ask opinions and truthful answers. I have never seen the owner of the store stepping out to work with the customers at the store before and I was so surprised but super happy that Jenna (herself) would be helping me out with finding my wedding dress. I had visited a few wedding boutiques and bridal outlets for wedding dresses in California, Tennessee and Illinois with sales people telling me I wouldn't be able to find a dress that I had in mind. That wasn't the case here. It was even more funnier that I described a specific dress to Jenna on the phone and when I drove over, she already had the dress I was looking for on the mannequin. Even though I kinda knew that the one dress was the one, she brought out a few other dresses that were gorgeous and also was flattering. I just appreciated everything that she did to help me out. Jenna was great in giving me tips and being honest with me on certain ideas that I had thought about the veil and a wedding sash/belt. In the end I'm glad that she was able to consult me into the right directions including the right tailor. I'm so happy that I had gotten my dress from her store.
