What a nightmare this experience has been. They do not allow you to look at anything that is "out of your price range". Kind of insulting. A budget can change depending on circumstances, which mine did. I saw a dress that I really liked, tried it on, and my maid of honor snuck a photo bc it wasn't allowed ( which we found to be very strange )and I am so glad she did!! The photo she took looked like a TOTALLY different dress then the one I picked up 6 months later. The owner measured me and my receipt stated I was 27 1/4 inch's around the waist, which would put me in a size 6 according to the manufacture's size chart. When the dress came in, everyone in the world could tell it was WAY too small. I couldn't bend over, could hardly get the dress zipped up. If I made any wrong move my straps could break. I was so upset at how it looked I wanted to cry. It looked like a totally different dress. All the owner kept saying was that it looked beautiful on me and fit me like a glove BUT I needed to loose a little weight and get some spanks. I showed this picture of me in the dress she ordered me to literally everyone I know and everyone couldn't believe it was the same dress and could tell it was WAY too small. I had myself professionally measured at another boutique after this because it didn't make sense. I was measured 29 1/2 in the waist. Almost 3 inches bigger. (I'm 122 pounds and my weight wasn't fluctuated more then 2 pounds for over 5 years.) This means according to the size chart on the dress company website, I should have had a SIZE 8. Not 4, not 6. She refuses to give me my money back. When I confronted her with the measurement from the other bridal boutique, she stated by email that there was no way she measured me at 27 1/4 yet that is what the receipt says and that is what size dress she ordered. If she would just taken accountability for the mistake and reimburse me so I can purchase another dress, I wouldn't be nearly as upset and stressed right before my wedding. I am in the middle of hiring attorney, and I will get my money back eventually. I expected so much more from a high priced boutique in Birmingham. I am know scrambling to pick up extra shifts as a nurse at the hospital to earn money for a new dress. I never picked up the dress and never want to step foot into that boutique again. How can someone lie right to someone's face and have no guilt what so ever? Absolutely do NOT trust them. LASTLY, telling someone they need to loose weight who is only 122 lbs to start with In order to fit into a $4,000 wedding dress that they already paid for IS ALL KINDS OF WRONG. Went here on a whim. I am glad I did. This is the 3rd bridal salon I searched at, and the experience is SO different than anywhere else! If you want attention, you'll get it here! They sit you down as ask, "What does your dream dress look like?" Guess what, they can make that happen! They are typically appointment only, but someone cancelled on that snowy Saturday I stopped in and I lucked out. The ladies that work there are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their selection is divine...everything is beautiful. BEWARE: if your budget is 1500, you might find something on the minuscule sale rack, but that's it. Dresses start at 2K and up because they are made with excellent quality materials. Being on the bigger end of regular sizing, there was very little I could try on, but they did their best to shimmy me into smaller sizes so I could at least see if I liked it. I sort of fell in love with a dress made with Chantilly lace, but it was 1K over my budget. Perhaps it was my dream dress, but I had to walk away because of price. If you can afford it, go to Antonio's...your dreams will come true! read more

I recently tried on bridal gowns at Antonio's and made an appointment with Vida. It is a quaint boutique in dowtown Bham and she was very pleasant to work with. She only had me in the store and that felt great! I had the store to myself which made it easier to pick and choose dresses to wear. She was extremely attentive and helpful by suggesting other dresses. I found a dress that I really liked there but was a bit more than my budgeted amount. I would recommend making an appointment to get the best service. I can't believe she has been in the area for over 15 years and has had only 2 reviews aside from mine. Antonio's was the second place I went to on my dress hunt. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on after walking in the door. I did try on a couple more but still loved the first one. Just wanting to be sure I visited 5 other places before going back and grabbing my dress before anyone else could find it. Vida was amazing she did a great job listening to what I was looking for and she was able to deliver the dress of my dreams. This did require some alterations which they handled completely in house. Don't recommend this boutique to anyone. I went to look for my wedding dress here. There were 2 ladies working there. Both were very rude and interruptive to my conversation with my mom and sisters about the dresses I was trying on. It was as if they were trying to rudely push their opinion on us. Did not give me one moment of privacy with my family to discuss. Also the dresses are super expensive and made with cheap lace. I would've purchased a dress from here if they were nicer! It was 2 days before my wedding and I was still searching for my bridal hair piece. I hadn't been able to find what I envisioned. After trying the nearby Roma Sposa and even considering trying to make something on my own from Habermans fabric, I stumbled upon Antonio's on a whim. I was on my way to my final hair trial and by myself so it was now or never. I tried on a couple things and wanted to show my mom or sister. The lady in there would not allow any photos. She also wouldn't allow any returns. I wanted to buy 2 and return one and she would not budge. I was extremely torn but ended up selecting one and it worked perfectly with my final hair style. It was the finishing touch. I'm giving this place 3 stars because I didn't find the lady warm or accommodating but I felt it worthwhile to leave a comment because if you can't find what you are looking for and you are in a bind, check this place out!! Antonio's Bridal was amazing from the moment I walked into the store December 2017 to just a week ago when I picked up my dress for my wedding. Vida was so warm and welcoming. She helped me pick out multiple styles of dresses to try on just to see how I would look in each style. I felt no pressure to say yes or buy my dress from there. Dress prices were very reasonable and I wasn't pressured to go over my budget. I also purchased my veil from Antonio's. Vida helped me match the veil perfectly with my dress. This place is awesome. I found my dress here after going around to 2-3 other boutiques. Not only was this boutique much more affordable but they also had a wide variety. The owner was very helpful. She took the time to understand my budget and what I like before she pulled out anything. This helped me choose a gown within one hour of being there. I am sooo happy with it. I made many alterations to the original dress and the team was amazing. Alterations are on site which was very convenient. I went to Antonio's Bridal looking for a second dress for my wedding reception. I had been to several shops before and liked a lot of dresses. However, when I found my dress at Antonio's, I knew I had to have it. I loved my dress so much that I forgot about the first one! They truly have a stunning collection of gowns that are made to "wow!" all of your guests. Vida was also very helpful, allowing me to make some adjustment and personalize the gown so it felt like a one of a kind dress. I had to rush delivery the dress and the seamstress at Antonio's was beyond helpful in getting all of my 3 fittings in despite our short 3 week time period before leaving for my destination wedding. To make things even more difficult I was traveling from out of state for the fittings!. They were so flexible. The dress fit like a glove. I can't recommend this place enough. I purchased my dress, as well as all of my 6 bridesmaids dresses, from Antonios. At first I had a good experience until the owner, Vida, became very rude and acted like me and my bridesmaids and mother were below her. She had us shop in a certain section of her store because we apparently "couldn't afford" some of the other dresses. Little did she know we did not have a budget and could buy whatever we wanted. I lived out of state at the time and made my appointments way in advance, but when I arrived each time for my fittings she said she was "fitting me in" and I needed to hurry because she had clients "flying in from NY". Pretty sure I made my appointments weeks in advance and I too was traveling just as far, about 900 miles one way. If Antonios wasn't the only Bridal Shop in the area that carried my wedding dress, I would have never purchased from here. Not a pleasant experience unless you like being treated poorly. My maid of honor and bridesmaids also had a not pleasant experience here. My maid of honor ordered a dress that she could not try on, but had her measurements taken and would try on once the dress was made, which wasn't a problem, until the dress came in. Vida assured us when we purchased the dress that the dress was flowy but when it came in it was straight and had no slit (the dress was long all the way to the floor). So my maid of honor had to buy extra fabric ($300 worth of extra fabric) to fix the dress and make it fit. To make a long story short, Vida ordered the fabric, did the fix without using ANY of the ordered fabric and never reimbursed my maid of honor for this! She also did all the alterations for the rest of my bridesmaids as well as my wedding dress and did such a horrible job that we had to spend more money to get them fixed by someone else. She charged me an additional alteration charge on top of my original alteration charge, even though up front she said it would only cost $150 and no more than that. This place became a money pit for us. It's unfortunate. I do not recommend Antonios Bridal. read more

This shop is fabulous. They make custom exclusive beautiful gowns. We purchased a designer gown here by Justin Alexander and it was very affordable on my nurses salary but it looked like a $20,000 gown with beading throughout. Of all the salons we went to this salon had the most exquisite beautiful gowns! Be prepared to be overwhelmed with beautiful gowns. Vida was very good with helping the bride to make the best choice. What your going to get at this salon is professional service that is a cut above the rest. Because they have their own designers you will get a fit and any alterations, add ons or changes to make your gown exquisite!!! This was our last stop for bridal salons and none of the salons could compare. I am also so happy with the price. I stayed in my budget and got a dream gown for my daughter! read more

I scheduled multiple appointments around downtown Birmingham and Antonio's being my first stop. It was in the afternoon on a Thursday so not everyone was with me yet. I fell in love with one dress and my parents another. I needed to go to my other appointments and Vida said yes, you go because there is only one dress for you and if you don't know yet you will. So I went to a few more places in Birmingham that were nowhere near as amazing as Vida. As more people came to the other two stores I was so sad that they didn't see the dress I loved so we went and knocked on the window and Vida let me in. I tried on the two dresses and it was so clear to me that the one I loved was my dress. My sister laughed and was like I don't even know why you went anywhere else. Poor Vida helped me put on and take off the dress I ended up purchasing three times. Then let us celebrate with champagne! Vida was amazing, very old school and wants to make sure no ones opinion is swaying you from how you feel about the dresses. If I could rate this store with 1000 stars I would. read more

This place had gorgeous dresses. My budget was about 2500 and there were plenty of options that met that. The shop itself is adorable. It's a cute little boutique in a lovely area. I did not end up purchasing my dress here but not because of the lack of beautiful options. Customer service could be better. I cannot say enough good things about Antonio's Bridal. I had looked for my wedding dress in several dress shops in NYC where I live/got married and each time was disappointed in the results. I visited Vida's shop with my mother and sister on Christmas Eve while home for the holidays. I was immediately struck by how warm, intuitive and comprehensive Vida was. She listened to my concerns about other dresses and my likes/dislikes and showed me several dresses in line with my preferences. Then she pulled out a completely different dress than what I had described and asked me to humor her by trying it on-- lo and behold, the dress I never thought to ask for was the perfect dress. In the subsequent fittings, her incredible team (especially Van!) helped fit the bodice of the dress perfectly and help refit the lace so it laid perfectly. I am the father of the bride and my daughter allowed me to come with her to shop for wedding dresses! We had four appointments the third at Antonio's. Vida was very nice and immediately questioned my daughter about what she wanted. She then chose 7-10 dresses for her that with each one got closer and closer to what she wanted. She was listening and trying to meet her needs. We found the perfect dress!! I was VERY impressed especially after the horrible experience we had at the appointment just before right up the same street. My daughter was the only one in the shop and felt like all her needs were met. Vida stressed she could do "anything" she wanted to make it special. I'm no expert on wedding dresses but I do know when my daughter is happy. Vida and her assistant at Antonio's Bridal helped me find and create my perfect gown. I had an idea of what I wanted but couldn't quite find it anywhere. Luckily, I found the base of the dress in a Justin Alexander dupioni silk ball gown at Antonio's. We knew we could trust Vida to make the necessary alterations and additions because she altered my sister's wedding gown from a size 12 down to a size 2 thirteen years earlier. Vida removed the square bow around the waist of the original dress and added a crystal belt. She also altered the square neckline into a heart shaped one. Most importantly- she hand-crafted an illusion top with cap sleeves and silk buttons all the way down the back to match the buttons that went all the way to the bottom of the train. It was absolutely perfect and just what I had in mind. Master seamstresses! They also altered my sister's bridesmaid dress and my mother's dress and did a beautiful job. I had a wonderful experience at Antonio's from my first day of shopping to the day I went to pick up the dress. Lovely ladies! read more
