BEWARE!!! UNPROFESSIONAL! SCAM! For the past month or so I learned that Dr Jeng and Dr Lee are no longer in practice, it is now a group called Mazloomi La Habra DDS PC that has taken over. My family and I went to Dr Jeng for decades and never had any problems. My mother went last month and told me that they made outrageous diagnoses and tried to get her to purchase a $6000 treatment with little to no explanation. This was odd, considering we had just seen Dr. Jeng back in March of this year with no issues. Today the female dentist Dr Eleanor Allen did the same thing to me! I went from being just fine to being told I have a mouthful of cavities and accused me of not brushing or flossing my teeth, having a poor diet, and drinking lots of soda. (I am furious because I am a registered dietitian and have excellent hygiene). She then tried to pressure sell me into doing an unnecessary treatment that cost several hundred dollars. The worst part was her bedside manner. Doctor Allen said I needed to replace some fillings. I told her in my 30 years of life I have never had fillings before. Rather than believe me, she argued that I must be mistaken and wasn't old enough to remember. I was then pressured to make a seperate appointment for that. I know my medical history and do not appreciate some complete stranger explaining to me my own health history. I will never come back and do not trust my dental health in her hands. Unfortunately, I can't give this office great reviews. Dr jeng and Dr Lee are not there anymore and was bought out by the current dentists, so they need to be transparent and take off jengs name on the building and online.I am not too happy with my recent visit that took 2 hours for a simple cleaning that in the past took 30minutes.. The office atmosphere is no longer welcoming , and not just a neighborhood dental office. Not sure if I will return. Dentist was okay, but she really hurt me during cleaning, I left with several cuts in my gums, and the push to get unnecessary out of pocket expenses reminds me of another dental office in LH . And that place was terrible. It's unfortunate that it's changed. read more

I've been coming here for over 18 years....as old as my child! Friendly receptionist....love Jennifer...she is the best and both Dr. Jeng and Dr. Lee are kind and awesome. Once you make an appointment and you get to the office you are seen in pretty much on time for the most part with minimal wait! Squeezed me in to get my tooth checked out right before the holidays to prescribe me meds and referred me out to a specialist that I needed to see for the new year! I would strongly caution anyone considering this office. My daughter came in with severe pain in her molar. Dr. Jeng confirmed she needed a root canal and even offered to perform it the same day since she was in tears. Unfortunately, his receptionist, Jennifer, stopped him and insisted our insurance wouldn't cover the procedure. She instead referred us to a specialist, claiming it would be "significantly less." After calling our insurance, I learned this was not true. Our insurance is in network and would have covered a portion of the procedure had Dr. Jeng performed it in office. Instead, we ended up at the specialist the next day, paying $1,400 (after a 25% insurance discount). A general dentist would have cost less, and most importantly, my daughter suffered an additional day of unnecessary, excruciating pain. Even Jeng said it would have cost $1000 if I paid him cash. When I left a voicemail expressing my concern, the response I received from Jennifer was dismissive and unhelpful, simply suggesting I call my insurance company. No apology, no ownership, and no attempt to make things right. This is ultimately Dr. Jeng's responsibility. Hiring staff who provide inaccurate information that delays treatment and increases patient costs is unacceptable. I will be filing a grievance with my insurance provider regarding this office. read more

‼Run if you don't want him to take your money‼‼!! ‼I came in for something cosmetic. Only thing is they asked for the money up front. Which I thought was not normal. And when I asked why? They said they needed the money so they can " start" working on it. So I thought hmm maybe something changed so I paid the $700 that they asked for . After I left something didn't sound right. I called my insurance because that did not sound right. Comes to find out My insurance said no. They are supposed to do their job then send the amount to the insurance company. Long story they got caught I called them out cheng was so upset because I told him I would put him on blast!! he literally gave me my money back $ 700 immediately lol he said I'll give you the money back right now just don't say anything!!! Like wait why would he just give me $700 right?? If you did no wrong?I let my insurance know about this and apparently they do this all the time. anywho i have kept all my messages! ‍ moral of story don't try and take peoples money without treating them first!!! read more

My family and I drove from Orange County to Dr Jeng for dental Services. Not only is he polite, informative and skilled but also up to date with knowledge and experience. I held off on visiting a dental office due to covid until I learned of Dr Jengs strict guidelines for safety and health on Covid. I highly recommend him. read more

I don't like the fact that they put me with Dr Lee his wife or any other doc when I wanted to have my treatment with Dr Jeng. All the time I had the filling and scaling by the doctor other than Dr Chester Jeng was unsatisfactory. I still feel the unpolished filling particles between my tooth. Years ago, I really loved how Dr Chester Jeng treated me but lately every time I made an appoint, they insisted me to place with other doctor against my wishes and I didn't like the outcome. read more

I want to start off with saying Dr. Jeng has made me not hate coming to a dental office to get treatment. Dr. Jeng makes all treatment the most comfortable, and his staff is the absolute BEST starting from the front desk lady Jennifer, she is so friendly always so welcoming BUT most importantly she works with my busy schedule & she accommodates all my appointments as needed. Dr. Jeng is the Best Dentist Out here, He has taken care of my daughter and myself for the past 10+ years Put my daughter through braces, did periodontitis treatment and now she has the most amazing smile .. my smile is in the works .. Rude and unprofessional service received from Jennifer. I have filed a grievance with my insurance company due to my experience with this office. Of note, my horrible experience with this office and poor rating is only because of the front receptionist, Jennifer. I did not see Dr. Jeng. I did see one of the other dentists and had no problems with his professionalism. The dental assistant was also very friendly. I have since changed dental offices in spite of being in the middle of treatment. read more

We have been patients of Dr. Jeng since 2003. My husband and I, as well as our two sons, absolutely love him and and have experienced excellent care with his practice. Dr. Jeng is completely honest, caring, genuine, and never tries to upsell treatment or cosmetic services. Because of all this, we drive from south OC to see him every six months! He's honestly one of the best dentists/orthodontists that I know and that is the reason why I continue to see him. Where do I begin? DR Jeng and his staff not only took me in last minute for a double emergency root canal, but they were quick, easy to work with, and very professional. What impressed me the most is how the dr took time out of his busy day to call in emergency antibiotics /pain reliever when I couldn't make it in to the office in time to treat an infected tooth. He and his staff went above and beyond to assist me with my dental problems. The office is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located fairly close to the freeway. The front desk lady Jennifer was very helpful with her courtesy calls to remind of appts and rescheduling. I highly recommend this dentist. I especially appreciate that Dr. Jeng's office follows the strict CDC guidelines and will protect all patients by refusing service to someone that has a temperature as noted by another reviewer. I have been going to Dr Jeng a little over a year, I get my temperature taken every time. Once it was a little high but Jennifer noticed I had been sitting in hot car on phone so we waited a few minutes and took it again and it was normal. It's a very professional well run office , totally tuned in to Covid and they all were protective masks, gowns, gloves. If I had a fever no matter what, it wouldn't be Dr Jeng's fault , it is what it is. Too bad if someone drove too far , they missed a chance to see a great dentist and staff. I was in town for the funeral of my mother-in-law. The day before I was supposed to fly home, I came down with a massive toothache. It was suggested that I try to see my mother-in-law's former dentist to see if they could help. It was just about closing time, but they kept their office open to see me, took x-rays, determined I needed a root canal, wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and pain pills for flying the next day and only charged me for an office visit! They were so kind and totally understood the circumstances. I'm home now, pain-free and have a root canal scheduled with my local endodontist. Thank you so much, Dr. Jeng and staff! read more

Everyone has had their experiences with tooth pain, but not everyone has had an experience with tooth pain the week everyone was to self-quarantine due to the coronavirus and businesses were shutting down. That was the situation that I was in. I had excruciating pain and needed to find a dentist ASAP as I needed to have a root canal. I called around to a few dentists on yelp and many of the dentists were reluctant to see me as the "self-quarantining" idea was new and many people didn't know what to do. After calling Dr. Jeng's office and speaking with his staff, they told me that I could be seen the same day as they could tell I was in a lot of discomfort. They obviously took extra precautions (like taking my temperature, etc), but it was so comforting to know that with businesses shutting down and people self-quarantining, Dr. Jeng's and his staff were able to see me. Highest Recommendation to Dr. Jeng and his exceptional staff. Oh by the way, although no one looks forward to a root canal, my surgery at Dr. Jeng's office was quick and I was pleasantly surprised to not experience much pain after the procedure. read more
