An employee told me they would have $5 margaritas and a 3-taco deal for $10. Based on that, I made plans and brought friends. When I explained that I had called ahead and been given that exact information, our waitress simply said she didn't know why we were told that. We weren't the only ones -- a table next to us had called ahead and received the same false information. When the manager came over, things went from disappointing to unacceptable. Instead of apologizing for his staff's misinformation, he became combative -- raising his voice and using profanity toward me and my friends. His attitude seemed to be that we were the problem, simply for expecting what we were promised. To make matters worse, the restaurant was severely understaffed with only two waitresses on the floor. Drinks took an unreasonably long time to arrive. When I mentioned this to the manager, he cursed at us again and snapped that he was busy helping other tables. No apology. No accountability. Poor communication, false promises, and a manager who responds to valid concerns with hostility is not something anyone should have to pay for.
