DISGUSTING AND UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS…read more After retrieving my car from this shop, I asked one of the employees about putting my license plate on my car--the exact reason I had just been pulled over. Before I could even fully ask for help, he responded with, "Too bad for you." I made it clear this was not a joke. There is nothing funny about being pulled over, and I was simply trying to resolve the issue responsibly. He tried to brush it off by saying he was "teasing," but that does not excuse the behavior. When a customer comes to you in need of assistance, mocking them instead of offering help is absolutely unacceptable. Teasing someone about a traffic stop before they've even asked their question is not only unprofessional--it's downright disgusting!!!!!!!

This is my 2nd favorable review for Five Star Towing out of Lodi, NJ…read more My SUV's battery appeared dead today and caught me by surprise as I was unable to start the car. Fortunately, I am a AAA Prime Member, called AAA and requested road service. Five Star's driver and Tech, Kevin P. arrived promptly at my home with his service truck. Kevin went about diagnosing both the charging and starting systems and found them to be OK. He next checked my battery and found it to be on a very low charge. I then agreed to purchase a new AAA battery for the SUV. I chose one with a higher capacity. Kevin proceeded to carefully remove the battery cover and connections, placing the parts aside. He then showed me the new battery having 730 cold caranking amps, more than my original and much to my liking. I understand that AAA's batteries are manufactured by Interstate, a highly rated company. Following Kevin's work, all systems were then tested and the car started up immediately. Kevin is to be commended for his work ethic and his ability to clearly communicate to his clients. Thanks as well to Five Star Towing for providing good working, dependable staff.

I was in North Haledon so I called city wide . I was chemo sick and by the time they arrived it was after midnight. And I just had my debit card on me . I asked the driver if he could stop at atm so I could get the 400 dollars they demanded for just towing me ten miles but I was desperate. At same time I'm nusea's shaking and weak . I accidently keyed in my atm pin in wrong once . And since it's middle of night and in a town i never use my debit card at Wells Fargo. Locked my account until I called there 24hrs hot line. Now since I sat in cold car waiting 2 hrs for City wide to arrive i ran down my cell phone battery talking to my sister who wanted me to stay on the phone with her cause she was worried about me . So I had to wait to I got home to call and verify my identity. I couldn't access my account. I said to driver can u leave my car and take the keys .and in the morning I will goto bank get the fee i owe . I will bring to you and get my keys . The driver was ok but he had to clear it with dispatch. Which it was a lady . She insisted he return my car to there yard . I thought it was cold but understood. BUT WHAT I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WAS THEY CHARGED ME 400 TO BRING ME HOME CHARGED 400 TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE YARD CHARGED ME STORAGE THEN CHARGED ME ANOTHER 400 TO BRING IT BACK . This was a car I bought for 400 . That 400 dollar tow cause I was desperate cost me. The next day. 1260.00 dollars. For a tow from North Haledon to skyline Dr in Ringwood. Take it from me. Only call there service if it is a matter of life and death. When I first called them I explain I was chemo sick . I guess they saw a opportunity to make some money off a chemo sick guy who just wanted to get home.

I recently had a pretty serious mechanical problem with my truck while pulling a horse in a horse…read moretrailer. Got stuck on the side of 287 outside of Hawthorne New Jersey. This is a worst case scenario for anyone who has ever moved a horse in a trailer. The state police dispatched Frank and his crew from City Wide Towing which turned out to be one of the best things I've experienced in a long time. Frank towed my entire rig - truck and trailer - back to his yard where we sorted out the problem with the truck and made arrangements to have my truck fixed the next day. Frank was kind enough to allow me to keep my horse in the yard over night where she was perfectly comfortable walking around and visiting with the people who worked there. To say that everyone at City Wide went out of their way to help make a bad situation much much better is an understatement. I have to be very clear here - this situation went from quite difficult to seamless due completely to the kindness and decency of everyone at City Wide. I was on my way the next morning without any difficulty at all. To encounter people this decent and caring in today's world is rare. I can't find the right words to express my gratitude to everyone at City Wide - they are professional kind and courteous. I am deeply indebted to Frank for all he did for me that day - I will never forget his kindness.
