I've been going here for all of my maintenance needs and have not been disappointed. Very recently my car pretty much died. Engine failed and toasted. After long thought, I decided to replace the engine rather than buying a new car. Jeff's Garage gave me a very fair quote and I moved forward with the engine replacement. Do not trust this Garage of Jeff himself! He took over a month to repair my vehicle after saying it would be done same day. After not being completed that day, he said he would help with the rental vehicle. Not only is he refusing to refund the rental money but he did not take care of my vehicle when in his possession. I had sap all over my vehicles - which I still haven't completely been able to remove from my vehicle - but the interior was left dirty from all the grease and oil he and his mechanics left on my interior! Jeff is a very bad mechanic. He does not fully know things about a vehicle. He made me change a alternator, when the problem was something else. He also gave really bad costumer service, as he told me to come back today, when he still didn't have time. He wasted my time. Another instance, He made me change the wrong vehicle plug and coils, when the problem was in a different coil or plug. He has wasted so much of my money. I would not go again. This is my second time coming to Jeff's Garage for an oil change. I called at 3:00PM on a Wednesday asking if I can drop by for an oil change without an appointment. Jeff said to just come whenever. I arrived and parked on the side of Jeff's Garage where the Mazda is parked (see photo). Either direction is fine. There is a sign in Korean explaining what to do (see photo) . Translation: Jeff's Garage How to Park 1. Park facing the parking lot 2. Leave driver side window down 3. Leave car keys in the car Thank you for your cooperation Jeff came up and I stood on the side where Jeff drove my car into one of the ports for an oil change. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. And the total cost was $30 for synthetic oil and service. For my other car, I went for the premium oil and that costed $65. I had my BMW sedan's splash guard "repaired" here. I was quoted $2000 to replace the entire splash guard. I said no, and that I would go home to find other alternatives since I had driven my car in right as they were closing. I got a call early next morning saying that the car was repaired - no quote, no asking permission from me to fix my car. When I came back to the shop, I saw that they had merely nailed a piece of plastic to the splash guard and nailed the entire thing to my front bumper. I was then asked to pay $300. I was upset and let them know that they should've called me and quoted me the price before fixing my car. I paid and left. When I asked other body shops how much they would've fixed my car for, they said $100-150. See photos for "fix." Fast forward one year later, I'm at Caliber Collision to fix my entire front bumper due to an accident. They discovered the "fix" to my splash guard and told me that I had been scammed. The entire splash guard would've been $150 max. Would not recommend. Do not ever go here. I wanted to support a local Korean business, as I am Korean, but this is a dishonest shop. read more

Jeff is a cheap guy I have known him for 10 + years , cuts corners every chance he can and installs parts wrong. He "did an oil change" on my mom's car once and it caught fire, did not try to make it right until legal action was threatened. I also referred a friend to Jeff's to get their AC fixed, Jeff made it worse and caused an oil leak leaving that vehicle smoking and in disrepair. Jeff does not do thorough pre purchase inspections of vehicles that are brought to him. Jeff also does not honor warranty that he provides. Avoid this man, his staff is okay, but not Jeff, Jeff is the embodiment of shady car salesman, not a single honest bone in his body. read more

Some notable change - looks like the owner bought out a shop adjacent to his original shop and they have more capacity (and parking space, thank God!). Take you car somewhere else. Screwed my Suburban big time. It's been in the shop 2020 to 2023 and still not fixed. It's supposed to go home with brand new engine I paid for but not, it has its old engine or engine from junk yard. They broke a screw on intake manifold, smog vacuum not connected, disconnected wiring from / for smog, missing gasket on exhaust manifold, engine light came on less done 10 miles, steering was locking, leaking engine oil in less than 100 miles, just too much problem to list. They are so down to earth, telling you how it is as it is -no exaggerating or scaring you unnecessarily, no guilt tripping or patronizing, but not overlooking if there is indeed an issue that needs attention, either- and you never have to wonder or worry if they are trustworthy. If I could leave a 0 star I would, last time I'm ever coming here,I came and asked Jeff for a oil change and he did change my oil then proceeds to tell me there was a nail in my tire and all I said was ok, he then proceeds to fix it keep in mind I never asked him to do it for me, then I ask him how much the oils change was and he saids 50$ and I ask tell him " I thought oil changes are 30$" he then tells me yea and it's going to be 20$ for the nail in the tire I fixed, I then tell him I never asked him to fix the nail I could of fixed it myself he saids he did me a favor and I'm the first customer to ever complain, and then he proceeds to slam the door of my car and then saids it's only 30$ so I give him the cash he comes back shaking his head and gives me my change. Let me see what happen *** I won't recommend this shop and the owner Jeff as he isn't professional, expensive for nothing and even worse, rude to customer. Jeff the owner has diagnosed and told me that my Lexus LS430 need a new wheel bearing on rear-driver side, and so I paid $450 for replacement part and repairing cost, but after I paid and came out of the driveway immediately noticed that the rumbling noise is still there and turned out that he replaced wrong side, rear-passenger side bearing. Ended up with he took out good Lexus genuine part with all harsh unprofessional workmanship while abusing my car and replaced with flimsy after-market part. Then when I talked to him, his tone was so offensive, and saying both bearings were bad. Duh! I won't recommend this guy as he isn't professional and even worse, rude to customer. Shared this story with my friend, and he said Jeff the worst scammer. He charged $4,000 for fixing check engine light on his E350, but the check engine light came back on, then Jeff said another part is bad so need to be replaced for another $1,300 but for nothing. I gave one star for now and will regrade it if he fixed my car. read more

Also if I need my car in and out but he works with me and turns my car around as soon as possible. He always has a great smile on his face and will go the extra mile to fix your car. I have been with Jeff for years simply because he is an expert who stays updated on new cars and their various flaws. Years ago I brought in my Honda, having no clue as to why the engine was shaking. Immediately, he identified a crack in the engine and called the dealer to advise. Within an hour, I had a plan to have my vehicle fixed based soley on his initial inspection. It was immediately clear to me that Jeff had already established an excellent reputation in the automotive community for his opinions. A couple of weeks later I had a new engine which lasted and lasted. Jeff does not take anything for granted that new cars don't have flaws. If I had taken the car to anyone else, I seriously doubt that I'd have an answer in less than 10 minutes on what was happening. It was his advanced awareness and understanding and research on possible manufacturing flaws which created the best outcome for me. Years later, he continues with the same heart for integrity to the customer's needs. His knowledge commands other expert mechanics who enjoy working with him. Jeff attracts the expert mechanics who love to work for and with him because they share the same expert knowledge base about problems solving and trouble shooting. Through the years, I've done much driving and he always realizes the need for me to maintain my vehicle. When I have a problem, I can always contact him and get an expert response. Nice owner! Fixed the body of my car for the best price out of the 3 shops I went to with great turn around time

It's incredibly sad that I now live so far away from this shop. The owner is absolutely legitimate. He doesn't try to screw you over and his prices are unbeatable. We have taken all of our family's cars here. He is definitely knowledgeable and takes the time to figure out what's going wrong with the vehicle. He'll give you a call immediately with the issues, cost, and how long it would take to fix. One of our cars had some major issues. It would take at least 2-3 days. He had no problem getting us a rental car in the meantime. Amazing! We changed our alternator over a year ago but had our prompt show up on our screen just this past week to have it checked out. We drove out to the shop (over 2 hours away) to have him take a look at it. He had no problem doing a complete diagnostic check which would normally cost us $100...since he did change our alternator a year ago. He was also going to check around the wiring to see if something was faulty. Less than 2 hours later, we came back and found that we had a simple battery issue which he fixed for us at no cost. Awesome. No more light. No more worries. Car is smooth and driving well. BTW, this guy is ALWAYS busy. His shop is packed with business but he'll do everything he can to get you back on the road. I highly recommend this place as I would drive over 2 hours just to get here. 5 stars! read more

Jeff used to be great when he was at his old shop. Over the past year or so his service has gone downhill. Taken my car to him several times and each time its a new issue which he doesn't explain in depth. Fixes my gasket and then the car starts overheating the next week. Then tells me I need to change the coolant. Change that and then it starts to leak and tells me o need to change the tubing and then again something breaks. My car is only about 5 years old and I get every car will have issues but I'm tired of spending so much on poor repair work. Go elsewhere. read more

Owner charged my elderly mother $375 for oil change and brake linings on a 13 year old car. Then he tried to get her to file a false claim on her insurance to fix old body damage, telling her it wouldn't raise her premiums. Where is the NO STAR option? I took the car in for "CHECK COOLANT" warning sign and Jeff suggested I needed new electric water pump, new radiator, new brake and some other work. His said it will be total $1200 and I thought it was expensive but 'check coolant' sign was a serious one, so l let him fix it. But a week later I went back to pick the car up he said the labor cost were more than expected and he said it's now $1750. This should have been a BIG RED FLAG and I should have never paid at all from the beginning. I fought hard to pay original price which is still 1200$. After 3 months, "CHECK COOLANT" sign APPEARED AGAIN. I called Jeff asking for explanation and he HUNG UP ON ME twice!!! I was very upset, went to his garage and he had me waited for 3 hours, made me to leave my car over the weekend. Then he told me it would be another 500$ on Monday. If it would be another 500$$$ then he should have told me from the beginning, not keeping my car over the weekend. I just brought the car back. It is same sign that he fixed for 1200$ (not 120$) 3 months ago. I'd suggest that you treat any mechanic like a doctor who has given you a serious diagnosis. Get a second option. I used to come here for all my car needs from gas leaks, to just checking for problems for my car that I have no idea how to fix. I've been a very happy customer for the last 3-4 times I've been here. I felt really confident sharing this place recommending it to friends. Out of the 3/4 times I've been here, Jeffs been really generous and told us "because you guys are college students, I checked for extra problems" starting from fixing my tires and other problems I've been there. I came in almost three months ago to get my friends rear view mirrors fixed because a car broke it on her trip to LA. I recommended my friend to Jeffs garage. Jeff said that fixing it is extremely easy and that he just needs to order the part. He said that it'll be done by next week. So, after paying for the parts, I left and came back next week just to be told that part didn't come yet and that it should be here next week. This happened 6 times in the span of about three months. Out of all those times, he could have let me known with the phone number he had. You just can't do a regular customer like that or even to a first timer. He kept this going for 3 more times. I will be back again if I have a problem with my car and will do another update, but for now.... 1 star it is. read more
