This is my second time coming to Jeff's Garage for an oil change. I called at 3:00PM on a Wednesday asking if I can drop by for an oil change without an appointment. Jeff said to just come whenever. I arrived and parked on the side of Jeff's Garage where the Mazda is parked (see photo). Either direction is fine. There is a sign in Korean explaining what to do (see photo) . Translation: Jeff's Garage How to Park 1. Park facing the parking lot 2. Leave driver side window down 3. Leave car keys in the car Thank you for your cooperation Jeff came up and I stood on the side where Jeff drove my car into one of the ports for an oil change. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. And the total cost was $30 for synthetic oil and service. For my other car, I went for the premium oil and that costed $65. Jeff speaks Both English and Korean and is a polite guy.

I had my BMW sedan's splash guard "repaired" here. I was quoted $2000 to replace the entire splash guard. I said no, and that I would go home to find other alternatives since I had driven my car in right as they were closing. I got a call early next morning saying that the car was repaired - no quote, no asking permission from me to fix my car. When I came back to the shop, I saw that they had merely nailed a piece of plastic to the splash guard and nailed the entire thing to my front bumper. I was then asked to pay $300. I was upset and let them know that they should've called me and quoted me the price before fixing my car. I paid and left. When I asked other body shops how much they would've fixed my car for, they said $100-150. See photos for "fix." Fast forward one year later, I'm at Caliber Collision to fix my entire front bumper due to an accident. They discovered the "fix" to my splash guard and told me that I had been scammed. The entire splash guard would've been $150 max. Would not recommend. Do not ever go here. I wanted to support a local Korean business, as I am Korean, but this is a dishonest shop.

I told him I was there waiting, and he seemed surprised. Had I not been on-site to check the tire myself, I likely would have just agreed to his recommendation over the phone. He then told me the tire couldn't be repaired and needed replacement, claiming it had been driven flat due to faint sidewall marks and a "burnt" smell. I explained it was never driven flat--only a few blocks while low on air--and I didn't notice any unusual smell when he tried to demonstrate. I asked them to repair it anyway, but he refused. Another employee offered to open the tire to show the damage, but after inspecting it, he couldn't find any issues--the tire was still good. They eventually repaired it as requested. It's only been a few hours, but everything seems fine so far. I didn't appreciate being pushed to replace a tire that's less than a year old, especially since I drive under 7,000 miles a year working mostly from home. Sharing photos of all four tires, including a close-up , part of the sides are hard to see. Just be careful with people trying to get you to replace something that doesn't need to be.

I don't write reviews often but Chet's deserves one here…read more I took my 2007 Honda CRV to Chet's (Vu), as I was having steering issues and some noises after recent repair from two different mechanics. Vu took it immediately for a test drive with me in the passenger seat. He could feel the same issue I did. He then put it on the lift and inspected it thoroughly. He wasn't sure of the issue exactly but was transparent in the discussion and thinking. Given the car had been worked on recently by others, I can understand why he would be hesitant to take it on. He noted that "my reputation is more important than one car" or similar, which I understand and respect too, as he said he has been in business for 20 years. He considered his best recommended repair with available information but wasn't pushing it, as it's a pricey repair. Looking to get a second opinion, he then had a different co-worker take another look. The co-worker slid under the car and was able to identify an issue, which was a loose bolt from the prior mechanic. The team right then lifted the car and tightened all the bolts, then took it on a second test drive, and the sounds went away and the steering issue seemed improved. Vu spent about an hour on this work combined with another 15-20 minutes from two or three other people too. After all that, he told me not to pay anything, though I offered! He could have pushed the more expensive repair and I would have very likely gone ahead with it, but he didn't. I need to test drive it further to see how it ddrives, but Vu said if still having issues to come back then to discuss where we go from there. For now, the sounds at least have gone away which is promising! Thank you!!!

Honest car repair shop is hard to find and I would highly recommend this auto shop…read more Had check engine light on and went to Chet's Auto Care for repairs. Even though Vu was single handed and getting multiple phone calls, Vu was still very patient in discussing repair options. Dropped off my car around 9:30am and got a call back around 2:30pm saying repair was completed. Instead of having a couple of sensors replaced (~$300), Vu said he had found and replaced a rat chewed cable connector (~$60) that resolved check engine light. He charged me for cable connector and honest labor, and car is running fine again. I know where I will be taking my car for any future repairs.
