My wife introduced me to Jeff's Bagel Run, but I started coming myself this last week with the pumpkin spice of the day bagels and kept coming back. I tried 4 of the 7 this week and honestly enjoyed all but 1(cracked pepper was a little over powering). I've tried several others and am hooked on this place. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean. I've gotten both iced protein lattes and enjoyed both, will get again. Weird and very untraditional bagel buying experience. I'm from the northeast so this isn't a fair comparison but I shall explain. First of all the price. Outrageously overpriced. Bagel with butter ON the bagel from the Northeast is $2. This is nearly $6 and the butter is on the side to spread or dip as you want. Terrible idea. The bagel itself. Not bad. Not the best. But for Texas standard it's a good bagel for anything else you can get in the Houston proper area. There is only one other place that makes a quality bagel and it's at least 45min from this location. The "weird" in this experience is the lack of getting a bagel to order. No butter or cream cheese as an option ON the bagel. It's all in a cup on the side which defeats the purpose of a grab and go breakfast option. I mean imagine ordering a kolache and they give you a roll and a sausage they say put it together yourself. The options for bagels are limited and unconventional. No egg bagel. No pumpernickel. Etc. but they have some cheese topped and baked options that are ehhh. The service was prompt so that's nice but let's face facts they're putting a bagel in a bag. Overall the bagel is okay. Outrageously overpriced. Not a place I would frequent. read more

Ive been to Jeff's a few times now and to tell you the truth I was hooked on my first visit!! The bagels are world class and always fresh. They are a little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Ive been an Einstein consumer for years and these bagels are better by far, you just can't get them toasted or with lox which in my opinion is why Einsteins is still in business. I've been obsessed with Jeff's for over a year now and I would drive to downtown just for the banana bread iced coffee. I don't know what it was but that's what had me locked in. One of my favorite bagel places and so glad that have a new Webster location! They've ironed out so many growing pains since their grand opening and it's much more efficient than before. - Parking can be tricky but theres ample parking space across the lot near the pharmacy if you're coming in for a quick grab and go - Service is quick and efficient - Ambiance is clean and lively My favorite bagels are the Asiago everything, jalapeño cheddar, and garlic! They are all soft, fresh and warm. I typically get the savory 3 flight spread with jalapeño, onion & chive and whipped butter and they are all excellent. 3 1/2 stars overall, I rounded up 4 stars - Bagels & cream cheese (WHEN bagels are warm) 3 stars - for not offering the option for toasting the bagel OR to put the cream cheese on Good bagels, like the flavor options. Cream Cheese flavors that I tried (strawberry & veggie) were good. Some people purchase breakfast on the go, and want to eat it right away. That is just not possible here, unless you stop and put it together first. They will cut the bagel (your choice to cut or not), and hand you the bagel and cream cheese, but do not put it on the bagel for you. So if you want to eat it right away, you have to do it yourself. They do give you a wooden knife to do that. They will NOT toast it or warm it in any way, and the no toasting seems to be an issue if you try to ask about it. They claim the bagels are warm and fresh (therefore don't need to be toasted), but I have not found that to be the case every time, or for every bagel. I have received very cold bagels. With that said, once home, and the cold bagel warmed, it was good. read more

This place is great they are a bakery primarily they make their bagels in small batches daily so you are getting fresh while they are open. They don't toast the bagels and they don't serve samiches but the cream cheese and the bagels are fantastic seriously great. I had the lox in a box, Asiago bagel and everything bagel. With veggie cream cheese. Service is great they do ensure quality and give each customer ample time to talk through their offerings and the line is pretty packed so be patient and be nice. read more

I've been waiting for a good bagel shop in the Clear Lake area for almost 40 years. There was once an E*stein's here but that's like the Wonder Bread of bagels. Jeff's makes a serious bagel and has some fun with it. They have all the standard topped bagels (ET, Poppy, Sesame, Onion, etc.) and have some fun with a Bagel of the Day, which is not one of the usual suspects. (Asiago Jalapeno, Pumpkin Pie, or Salted Caramel). The bagels have a good flavor and good chew to them. They remind me of a Montreal style, but not quite as sweet. I like them. I got to the shop around 10am on a Thursday and there was a good crowd there. It gave me a chance to look over the shop and menu. I ordered a 1/2 dozen (different toppings). They were sliced, bagged and ready to go in a few minutes. I'll be back. read more

I saw this place passing by and decided to stop by and try it for the first time. The girl taking my order was very kind and patient. When I told her it was my first time here, she offered me a paper menu to keep so that I could look over it without the pressure of the drive thru waiting. She was very kind and welcoming and I really appreciated that! I ordered the jalapeño cheddar bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. And the bagel of the day which was a 3 cheese bagel with regular cream cheese. I also ordered a small banana bread cold brew. The banana bread cold brew was so good! It actually tastes like banana bread and doesn't have the strong burnt coffee flavor that many places have these days. So far I only tried the jalapeño bagel and cream cheese. I have never had a fluffy bagel before, it was amazing! So soft and fresh. I think my only complaint is that the jalapeño flavor is not there for me. Maybe more or bigger pieces of jalapeño on the bagel would help, or even having them in the dough instead of just small pieces on top? The jalapeño cream cheese was the same for me. I didn't really get any jalapeño flavor or spice/heat from either one, that's my only complaint. However, the bagel is still very good! I'll definitely be back to try more flavors. read more

Jeff's Bagel Run, when I walked in, was packed with customers waiting for their orders. Being brand new, they're definitely a hot commodity--especially since we haven't had a bagel place in the area for years! Having been involved in both soft and grand openings of a small restaurant myself, I know how backed up a new place can get while the staff is still learning and adjusting their flow each day. Usually, the majority of people are content and happy (and don't leave reviews, lol), but unfortunately the few who are super picky may end up with the occasional "bad egg" experience. Right now, the biggest challenge seems to be the wait time for orders. I had already read the reviews and knew they'd be backed up with nonstop customers, so I parked at CVS next door and went inside instead of risking the drive-thru (where you can't even place an order until you're up at the speaker). I can't even imagine if they're also trying to handle pre-orders and pickups--it would totally clog the flow without enough employees to keep up. Honestly, I'd probably block online orders until the rush dies down. Inside, the order line wasn't too bad of a wait. The staff was very nice. Some bagels were already sold out, but since I ordered a dozen mixed (there are 15 bagel options total), I just doubled up on a few. Totally understandable for a late Sunday morning since they're constantly baking more. Their cream cheese options are fun--it's set up like an ice cream shop, where you pick small or large containers and they scoop the flavors in. I grabbed six small varieties (two "flights") so I could try a bunch. I also ordered an iced coffee since I knew I'd be waiting. My cold brew came out pretty quickly, with my name called out loud and clear. From order time to actually getting my bagels, it was about a 30-minute wait inside. Hopefully that gets faster over time. And if you think the drive-thru will be quicker, think again--it's better to just plan ahead, go inside, and expect a bit of a wait since they just opened! There are a few small tables and chairs, so you can sit and eat--or, at least for now, use them as a waiting area (lol). When I got home, the bagels were still warm because they're flying out so fast. I cut a few into mini bites so I could try all the cream cheese flavors. The bagels were delicious! The cream cheeses that stood out the most were the Hot Sauce flavor (which I loved--it's flavorful, not really spicy, and I'm used to spicy Thai food, so don't worry if you're spice-shy), and the Banana Pudding flavor, which had a bold, authentic taste that really surprised me. Those two were definitely my favorites. Overall, I'm just so excited we finally have a bagel place again after all these years! 4 stars for now due to waiting, as its a hot new commodity! So I have mixed feelings about this bagel shop. I'm still adding it to my recommended list bc everyone has their own taste and it's definitely worth a try. I would like to say this is pretty much only a bagel and spread place. They don't toast their bagels and there are no bagel sandwiches there. Which I can live with but the fact that they don't put the cream cheese on your bagel was a no go for me. This is very inconvenient for anyone grabbing a bagel on the go. It was very busy when we get in but they definitely need to figure out a more efficient way of getting customers their items. We got our bagel but waited forever for our coffee only to find out that someone took it to the drive thru area and left it there. I had the jalapeño and cheddar bagel with roasted jalapeño cream cheese. Cream cheese was excellent but here's my mixed feelings. I don't know and I've thought about it for awhile if I like their bagels are not. Slight chew/ flavor not bad but there is just something off for me. Like it doesn't quite hit for a good bagel. First time trying. It was hard to get into the parking lot from my side of the road. Very little parking. No Inside ambiance. Mainly a drive through business. I was told the bagels were baked fresh and the signage inside the store advertised that they are served warm but they were not. My husband said his was cold and hard. Mine was okay. My husband's whipped butter was hard as a rock and unspreadable. The coffee was kind of tasteless. The lids were very very difficult to get on the cups. The best part of my experience was the strawberry cream cheese which had actual strawberries in it. The service was friendly and fast. We will probably never return. read more

I saw this place as I drove by a few times and wanted to check it out. Finally did. The place was mostly empty except for the folks working there and a couple of gals sitting at a table. I waited about 5 minutes while the guy at the counter was on the phone having a mildly heated discussion about someone over a bagel order. He never looked up once while i was there. Didn't really matter to me as i was there on a recon mission. That interaction told me half of what I needed to know. Finally, a nice lady that was moving bagels and milling around, came over and got my order. She apologized for the guy on the phone. LOL! Anyhow, the bagel was nothing to remember. I did find out that Jeff's Bagel Run is some kind of small chain out of Florida. Anyhow, the Einsteins Bagels that used to be in this location was actually pretty good. When they first opened the quality and taste of the bagels where on par to some of the best in NYC, but unfortunately both have suffered since for some reason. If you've got a penchant for soft, fresh bagels... you have got to try Jeff's. They're amazing. I got the Asiago cheese bagel with the chive & onion spread and a skinny iced caramel latte. It comes with a ton of spread, too. Some reviews are mentioning you have to put the cream cheese on yourself, they do give you a knife and it makes it easier to save half of your bagel for later if you wanted. ****This is a review based on service*** I placed an online order for a dozen of bagels and two flights of cream cheese. I arrived at the drive thru and waited two minutes to be acknowledged. No one ever came over the speaker. I drove to the window and waited an additional three minutes and was not acknowledged until a worker came to the window. Mind you, the entire time I am at the window I see someone working, but she NEVER looks my way, NEVER acknowledged me, nor did she EVER say, "I will be right with you". Once the lady comes to the window and asks for my name, she tells me that they are waiting for one of the flavors that I order to come out of the oven. By this time, it is seven minutes into my visit that should have been no more than three minutes since I placed an online order. I cannot wait any longer, so I requested a substitution. Once I reach my destination, I noticed that the cream cheese containers are not full nor are they labeled. I would expect I higher level of service after paying $35 for a dozen of bagels and six containers of cream cheese. I will have to think long and hard before I return to this establishment. read more

Jeff's has cornered the market on cold, chewy, assemble your self bagels! Bagel tastes fine and the cream cheese was good but not spicy (I got the jalapeno). I asked for it to be toasted and didn't find out until I arrived at my office that it wasn't. They don't even offer toasted...at abagel shop. They also don't spread the cream cheese on the bagel. Do not recommend unless you want to pay more than the grocery store for nearly the same experience. I had high hopes, but they were dashed. read more

So happy I tried these bagels. For some reason I was apprehensive when driving by. My daughter recommended I give them a try because she liked them. I had the pumpkin bagel to start, and it's very tasty. They have multiple cream cheese options and the ones I tried were all equally delicious. Our order was delivered missing a small cream cheese we ordered. The company immediately issued a partial refund. Went there today expecting to order an egg and cheese on an everything bagel. I walk in and see no sandwiches on the menu so I said to myself ok no worries I'll just get a bagel w cream cheese. First I ask just to confirm "do you have eggs"? She replies no. Ok so I order an everything bagel toasted w chive cream cheese on it. She says we don't toast nor do we put the spreads on it. I am now so confused by this whole concept. And yes I know you bake em there. I also asked, well are there any hot ones, she points down to the basket and says that's what we have. Still didn't know what's what at this point. I am from New Orleans and lived in NY and Boston for over 21 yrs. I know what a good bagel is and it comes toasted. I could have gotten over the fact that they would not put the spread on it but not toasting it made it a done deal. So I was just so confused I said ok well thanks and left. Okay my review is going down. I love this place. I previously gave it 5 stars. I am a repeat customer but I would love the owner to read this. Owner- this is the second time this week I have come in at 6:35 AM. 5 minutes after you opened. Both times this week there was not a full selection of bagels out. Earlier this week there were only 4 flavors out. They were baking the rest??? I came 5 minutes after you opened. Today at 6:35 AM- only 3 bagel flavors were out. I asked why. And the drive thru worker said "the baker came in late???!" I don't know if your manager is being forward with you but I'd look at finding a new baker for the sake of your reviews. Again-- I am a repeat customer and I will continue to come back!! I love this place!! I am just worried for your reviews in the future because in my opinion the moment you open you should have a full selection out.
