I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience because purchasing a…read morehome is one of the biggest financial and emotional decisions a family can make. We hired attorney Nicole Torres during what became an incredibly stressful real estate transaction. We were facing serious inspection concerns, including extremely high radon levels, and were desperately trying to understand our rights and protect nearly $40,000 deposit being held of our hard-earned money. Instead of feeling reassured and guided through the process, we felt increasingly anxious and confused. We repeatedly asked questions because we were genuinely scared of making the wrong decision and losing our deposit. Rather than feeling like we had an advocate in our corner, we often felt dismissed when we questioned the advice we were being given. We were advised that our inspection contingency had expired (we later learned it had not) and that our deposit could be at risk if we did not continue moving forward. We were also led to believe that the radon issues did not give us grounds to terminate the contract as it was "not part of the inspection process" and that we had signed a contract "for inspection only". As buyers trying to navigate a complicated situation, we relied heavily on her advice and guidance. What was most disappointing was that when we expressed concerns or asked follow-up questions, we did not feel heard. The conversations often left us feeling more intimidated than informed. Eventually, our discomfort became so significant that we sought alternate legal counsel because we no longer felt confident that our interests were being fully protected. The second opinion we received gave us a very different understanding of our contractual rights and deadlines, including the ability to terminate the contract and get our deposit back, which proved that the advice we received from her was not accurate and would have cost us $40,000!!!

Nicole was always professional, knowledgeable, and very responsive to our needs. Our mortgage was complex with a lot of moving parts and variables but she made the process smooth by ensuring the bank, the seller's, and the seller's attorney communicated often and push to make sure the bank sent her the closing documents in time for us to close on time, during a period it looked like it wouldn't happen until after the weekend. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a home in Massachusetts! We were connected with him through our ARAG services at work and ended up not being very happy. He does the bare minimum (or at least did with us... we were purchasing a home). After the purchase was completed we found out from both our realtor and broker that there were some things he should have done but asked them to do, which they thought was odd but didn't want to hold up our process... from what I can tell he does the bare minimum needed to get paid by our ARAG program. We also needed some additional help with something after the sale because we couldn't get a hold of the seller's attorney and he said he would reach out and make some calls and then never got back to us and is just ignoring our calls and emails. Others might have a good experience, however I feel he is just in it to get your money for the least amount of work needed.

If I could give 10 stars I would!…read more This was the first time I had ever needed an attorney so I didn't know what to expect and was a little nervous considering all the horror stories you hear. Matt was amazing. He kept us updated every step of the way and took the time to make sure we understood what was going on and what was the best course of action for US, not what would bring him the most billable hours. Matt is EXTREMELY knowledgable and always got back to us right away if we had any questions. He is very easy to work with ( I was actually out of state and he went above and beyond to make it work!). I can't say enough good things. If you or anyone you know are in need of a good, hardworking and honest attorney, give Matt a call! You won't regret it!!

My problems with a terrible landlord had remained unresolved for nearly 3 years until I finally…read moredecided to look for professional help, and I had a great head start in my search for the right lawyer through the word of mouth since multiple people I knew and trust had nothing but positive things to say about Mr. Ayr. It turns out, not only I found the right lawyer: I found the perfect lawyer! You might be asking: "Why do you say that?".. Because not only he is extremely effective, time efficient and organized - which will save you a ton of money - but also is very down to earth, realistic and has something else I've never seen in any lawyer: the cool factor. When I say cool, I mean the invaluable ability to remain calm, centered, so balanced in every situation that it's almost Zen. Remember all the bad things we all grew up listening about lawyers? You will soon realize that Mr. Ayr is the perfect antagonist of all that, and I'm not just saying that, I will elaborate and give you my personal experience as an example: My landlord years of serious violations and illegal acts were so bad that, if we decided to bring the full case to court, he could easily go bankrupt and the house would go up to foreclosure, and bear in mind, I had the Boston Housing Court and Boston Housing Inspection Services with me in this case. Needless to say, had we gone ahead and sue it, serious compensation would come my way and my lawyers. Yet, when I decided to "let go" and give the landlord a chance to settle for the security deposit legally owned to me plus my financial damages along the way , Mr. Ayr fully supported me and quickly started and finished all the documentation and negotiations with the landlord, who completely changed from the very aggressive tone to a fast paced resolution. I was in awe. I would give Mr Ayr a 6 star review if it was possible.
