Good luck getting in as a new patient. I scheduled a new patient exam online months ago. Later I was called and said I couldn't schedule it online, they could only do it over the phone and the wait was 2+ months. So I reschedule for June with Dr. Falkell. Months go by, and then days before my appointment they call: "Dr. Falkell's schedule changed and we need to reschedule." Another month wait. Now it's mid July, and AGAIN, days before my appointment they call to tell me her schedule changed and I need to reschedule. Fed up with this place. read more

I followed Dr. Falkell from her old practice. I like seeing her & give her 5 stars. The rest of the practice gets 1. The front office staff is terrible. I had weeks of medication mixups with them. Finally one worker got it sorted out for me. She was gone by the next time I had a visit. Too long a wait for appointments. Talking to them on the phone is frustrating. Don't bother leaving a message for a call back or prescription refill. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Rochlen for a few years now. I think he himself really does care about his patients. He always follows up with me personally. That being said, the last 3 times I've needed to get in there for being sick, I've had to go to Urgent Care instead. Over Christmas, I had an awful sinus infection and they didn't even try to see me because he was on vacation. Today, I had an appointment at 330 which my husband had to stay home from work so he could watch the kids. I went in and their power is out. No one even tried to notify me using a cell phone, etc and they weren't even helpful or apologizing and could give me no info. The office staff was awful and rude. I miss seeing nurse Joy and Amanda at the front desk. Looks like I'm going to find a new doctor. read more

I recently selected Dr. Rochlen to be our family PCP. He is wonderful. He works extremely hard to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with his services and he doesn't leave the room until you and he both understand exactly what the plan is going forward and what you have gone over during that visit. I appreciate the time and effort that he spends with each patient. While we do not have children yet, there were lots of moms and dads in the waiting room - you can clearly tell that is is fantastic with children. His office is modern and very up to date. I feel comfortable with the level of technology that he has access to and am very happy that he is connected right into the Beaumont network. If you are shopping for a PCP, this is the guy! read more

I was a patient of Dr. Falkell and while I liked her, the office staff is a nightmare. They called me last minute to cancel my Saturday appointment and then refused to reschedule at a convenient time. I explained that I would have a brief insurance lapse due to a new job and needed to get in but they wouldn't keep my original appointment or do anything to help me get in. read more

I loved having Dr. Falkell as my doc for years, but the practice has gone to hell since it's been absorbed into Beaumont. Trying to get in is like spinning a roulette wheel - you might get same day, or you might wait a week. Hey, I'm sick - I can't wait a week! It seems that the doctors never cover for each other, so if yours is sick or on vacation you're out of luck. The last straw is their insane late policy. If you show up even minute late, they can and will cancel on you. I just drove 30 minutes during rush hour for a 4:45 appointment and arrived at 4:50. At 5:02 they tell me that they won't be able to see me because I was 5 minutes late. We have several friends who go to this practice and they have all been cancelled on within the last year for being minutes late. Time for a new doctor! read more

Be careful of the office staff here. They're impolite, act as if they are holier than thou and have no interest in helping anyone that walks through the door. Each time I had a dealing with them I was made to believe I was an inconvenience or an idiot. They set limits on how many times you can be late or change your appointment. Once you've reached that limit, they invoke a fabricated Beaumont policy, and condescendingly explain that you are no longer allowed to make appointments and that they are not accepting new patients. So, my recommendation is if you're a new patient, avoid the office staff here and find a different doctor. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Rochlen for the last two years and am always pleased with his services. I am so use to the rushed manor of most Dr's I have visited with but with Dr. Rochlen he takes time to discuss any and all concerns and really focus on healthy living. I also love how professional his staff is, the office is always clean and he does not double and triple book you are seen shortly after your arrival, no overly long waits in the waiting room, he even plays pleasant music in your exam room while you wait. I remember on my first visit, I was in my exam room and the first song that play was Michael Jackson thriller and then the lights in the room went off due to a timer I had to laugh because of all the crazy things that I was thinking but the visit went well, and I am very happy with his service. read more

Dr. Rochlan is the BEST family physician I have found. He has taken care of me, my husband snd son for over 10 years now and I trust him completely. We visited Dr. Rochlen for the first time today. We were referred to him by my teenage son's PCP after some of his test results came back abnormal... I'd like to note that our PCP is not a pediatrician and wanted to get the advice of a doctor who specializes in children, hence the referral to Dr. Rochlen. My son was incredibly nervous about this appointment (which pertained to delayed puberty) and looked forward to it for weeks. Unfortunately, Dr. Rochlen didn't seem to take the sensitivity of the situation into consideration. He pointed out, bluntly (and loudly), that my son was 'a pretty skinny kid' and was dismissive of the social/emotional impact that his delayed growth has made (when I mentioned it, he nodded and did not look up from the screen he was typing on). He was also dismissive of the test results. He questioned the time of the blood draws, the lab's methods, and then very brusquely told me that he was unsure why we were even referred to him. He went on to say that he used to work with our PCP and was surprised that he had even given him a referral. As the appointment progressed, I could see my son deflate. This has been an incredibly emotionally sensitive topic in our household, and I feel that Dr. Rochlen's bedside manner (overly loud voice, impatient/dismissive attitude) was lacking to say the least. While he did write us a referral to a pediatric endochrinologist (helpful) his lack of empathy left us feeling like crap. We will not return to Dr. Rochlen under any circumstances. read more

My family and I have been seeing him since 2011 and he is extremely excellent with children and babies but sees all ages of patients. He is great is listening to your concerns and not just giving you meds and sending you on your way. The office is great at getting you in if you are sick, in some cases same day and if in the event you or your child do end up in the hospital, he is great at making sure he is very much hands on with your care, staying in touch with the hospital during your stay (if you end up at beaumont royal oak, you will see him at sometime during your stay) and seeing your care through. read more

Dr. Rochlen is very thorough and makes sure he gets all the information he can before he works with you to make a plan of action. He does not cookie cutter care for all patients and treats you like an individual. He is very helpful in follow up and will even email or talk to you on the phone. I think his patients are lucky that he cares and will do so much to make sure they are feeling better. If you want a smart thinking doctor, this is the place to go. read more

I had an appointment as a new patient on June 30,16 @ 9:00am with Dr. Falkell. I was told by a receptionist that she will send my paper work to me in the mail. I received a voice mail the day before confirming my appointment for 9am, but to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork if I had not received it. I called to confirm the time and told the receptionist I never received the paperwork in the mail. She told me to come 15 min. early. I am never late for appointments. I arrived @ 8:45am and was told rudely by another receptionist that I will have to reschedule because I did not have my paperwork and that I should have arrived 45 min. early. She told me no appointments were available for 2 months. It took me 2 months to get the first appointment. WTF! I asked to speak to an office manager. They don't have one! The girls at the front desk are incompentent and very rude. Also they need to correct their voicemail. Needless to say, It was a horrible experience dealing with these girls and I wasn't going to have to deal with them again. I will not be a patient in that unprofessional office! By the way, what doctors office has you arrive 45 min. before your actual scheduled time? This place is a joke! read more
