I'm extremely disappointed with my experience living at this apartment complex. What I went through should never happen to any resident. My unit became completely uninhabitable due to a severe roach infestation and a horrible odor caused by what maintenance later suggested were dead animals inside the walls. They even cut large holes throughout my living room trying to locate the source, leaving the walls open and exposing me to potential harmful bacteria from the carcass as well as insulation and debris from inside the walls. The smell was so unbearable I had to vacate immediately.
Instead of handling the issue professionally, management dragged their feet and made the entire situation even more stressful. I repeatedly asked for help, documentation, and accommodations, yet the communication was inconsistent and at times felt like I was being ignored rather than supported. Despite acknowledging the issues, they still have not refunded my moving expenses or provided adequate compensation--even though I was forced to relocate on my birthday because my home was no longer livable.
I called corporate multiple times, left messages, and have yet to receive any response. I even slept in the airport after flying home while this was happening because I had nowhere to go and no money for a hotel--I had already paid rent for an uninhabitable unit and had spent money on my birthday plans. Despite knowing this, management still refused to provide direct accommodations and only offered a rent credit of $232 for the following month, which did nothing to help me in the moment when I had no safe place to stay.
I moved to Texas alone with no family here, and this entire situation has been overwhelming, unsafe, and unacceptable. No resident should have to beg for basic habitability, be displaced on their own birthday, or be ignored by the very people who are supposed to maintain the property.
I hope management finally steps up and takes responsibility, but until then, I cannot recommend this complex to anyone. read more
