The facility proudly displays a sign stating that it has 8.2/10 rating on Hotels.com. That gives the impression that it will be a good experience. That was far from the case. Parking was difficult, place was smelly, rooms were smaller than normal, the door to the room was difficult to close, the beds were double size (queen is common), and the beds were very uncomfortable. The place advertises that it provides breakfast. We went for the breakfast and found that ONLY Fruit Loops cereal was offered. NOTHING ELSE!. Coffee was not good. We asked the desk attendant about the breakfast. He stated, "We only offer Fruit Loops". Very misleading advertisement. We went to another hotel on the same street the next day (Holiday Inn Express). That one was also rated in the 8 range on Hotels.com. That one was exceptional compared to this property. I cannot help but question the credibility of the ratings for this property. read more

Holy bed bugs, Batman! Where to begin in this awful stay? We were greeting by a very rude Indian woman, when we checked in we emphasized NO smoking. We can't be near smoke as we have two children with significant pulmonary issues, and one with severe asthma. We needed a non smoking floor, far away from any rooms that might be smoking. She put us into a room on the top floor in a smoke filled hallway. The room itself was "non smoking" but was sandwiched between two other smoking rooms and adjacent to two more. So the room itself reeked heavily of smoke. Heavy smoke filled the air and when smokers went into the hallway to smoke together the room we were in was just as Smokey as the hallway within minutes. Reluctantly the woman moved us to a new room. The initial room was 100% unsafe for our children and the woman made it clear that wasn't her problem. The new room (105) was on the bottom floor, and *smelled* clean, and smoke free. A few minutes of breathing treatments and our air purifier and we were all feeling much better after such immense smoke exposure. Throughout the night there were guests above us that must've been reenacting the Olympics as they were running full sprints, slamming furniture, screaming, jumping and punching the walls. It sounded like a group of teenagers were above us. This went on for hours. We complained to the front desk but the same woman did little to mitigate the situation. Our kids nor us couldn't sleep the entire night because of this. At 5 AM we'd had enough and just got up for the day. Thank God we did get up and turn on the lights because crawling on us was BED BUGS!!!! Room 105!!!! I didn't know what I was supposed to do, so I grabbed a napkin and scooped it up. Then ran to the front desk with my husband. We rang and ran the call bell and shouted for help and the woman was sleeping and came out fussing at us for interrupting her and ringing her bell so many times! We told her we found bed bugs and wanted a refund for our stay, and cancel upcoming nights. She wasn't even surprised about the bed bugs! She said "We spray for them once a month". I asked for the owner or manager and she kept saying NO REFUND! I asked again for "Pops" the owner and she started pretending she didn't speak or understand English!!!!!! She took the bed bug and threw it away in the napkin!!!! She wouldn't even give us trash bags, and when we went back to the room, housekeeping told us the woman at the front desk asked them to clean the room but never told them anything about their being bed bugs!!! She gave us trash bags and we bagged up everything. As we were leaving the woman would NOT refund us for finding bed bugs!!! She just pretended not to understand English again and kept saying "Half refund only" "Half only". Like No. Thank Heavens we booked with Hotels.com because their customer support got us a full refund and a new hotel and matched the price. We also were advised to report them to the health department as they were still booking people in this room that they are aware have bed bugs! read more

If you're here looking for a sign of wether to stay here or not, this is it. DO NOT!!!! Keep scrolling and book at the next place! After the fees and taxes I paid $77. I was actually charged $5 extra for my little girl even after showing the listing said "kids stay free". Could have been petty staff member or policy change that needs updated? Either way, whatever, but when.we.walked.in.yall. This was literally the nastiest hotel room I've ever been in. Dirty floor, stained bedding and chairs, and so stinky!!! Would never stay again, would never recommend anything except tearing it down and starting over. Hopefully you've gotten the point, it was bad, don't stay. read more

Stayed here for one night. The staff is excellent! Extremely nice and accommodating. The ladies that I interacted with sincerely wanted my family to enjoy the stay. I'm giving 5 stars because of the rate compared to the accommodations. Please know this is not a new hotel but it isn't a dump either. It's very roomy and clean, it just has the feel of being dated - even though the carpeting and bed linens are updated. Location is great! Nightly rate was about 65% of those hotels nearby. Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Stumbled upon it during a night with very windy/icy roads, was very tired and needed a place to crash that wasn't going to gouge me. When I walked in I was given a very reasonable for a room that fit the bill. It's nothing fancy, but neither are most of the Holiday Inns and La Quinta's that will try and sell you the same room for $20-$30 more. The room was clean with zero signs of "roommates" (critters) , the shower warm with good pressure. The owner was very hospitable and made sure I was able to get everything I needed to get done on the hotels complimentary computer/ printer. $45 included everything, even breakfast. My husband and I were driving from New York to Pensacola. After 11 hours we stopped here. It was easy to find, near restaurants and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We needed a place to sleep for one night and this was a perfect stop. I was here in December but it was nice to see they do have an outdoor pool. Great little hotel. The guy that helped us in was fantastic. He was very nice, and incredibly helpful. As soon as we got in he already had all of my paperwork ready to go so check in was a breeze. They did serve breakfast in the morning, but I wasn't able to catch it. Checking out was just as easy and checking in. The hotel itself wasn't bad at all. Ok spot for the night. My room needs a new mattress desperately. Worst complaint is that the non-smoking room and hallways still smell like smoke. Only provides enough shampoo for one person so you might want to ask for more at the desk if there is more than one person in your room. Just came out to my car and it is covered in yellow dust. Other than that my experience was not up to my standards...waited 15-20 minutes to check in at night (no one at desk to greet me). Paid online for the hotel and then was charged another $10 because I had a pet. I was then given a room that was supposed to be designated for people with pets...the phone nor the microwave worked in this room and it was upstairs (no elevator in the hotel..I am definitely not bothered by stairs but would feel for someone who couldn't use stairs), so at midnight had to drag all of my belongings and my pet upstairs. I declined so they actually canceled my reservation and refunded what they originally charged me, so be careful. On a long road home from St Louis to North Carolina, I kept driving past Knoxville, Tennessee and found this town. Off to the right, I seen a few motels and pulled into Jefferson Inn. From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm friendly smile and a comfort of a voice of a Auntie. I went to my room and just was even more amazed by the cleanliness and inviting the room was. A continental breakfast was served in the morning, and again such a wonderful staff member, another Auntie if you will, greeted me again. If I could give a 6 star rating to these 2 women who made me feel at home, despite my disabilities, I really felt like I have found a home away from home. Thank Jefferson Inn!! read more

Never again! We were half way into a 15 hr drive and decided to stop for the night. The room reeked of smoke, the pillows were as hard as a rock, the sheets were thin and itchy, and there were stains on the blanket (have pictures). The doors were slamming all night and dogs were barking. Husband went out for a break and I went out to find him sleeping in the car. However, since they only gave us one key, I was locked out and had to ask for another key to get back in room. They gave me another key without even asking for an ID - so anyone could have gotten into the room. The door had gaps on all sides, so it's no wonder we could hear ever movement that everyone made in the hotel. Although, the front door was locked after hours the back door was propped open with rocks - sounds like a good security system. The two towels were like sandpaper and small enough to wrap around my two arms. Needless to say, we should have just pushed through and saved the money as this hotel is overrated, overpriced and very uncomfortable! read more
