Jeannie and Jim, the venue owners and operators are a joy to work with and take great pride in the space, inside and out. Almost 50 years ago, they saved the mill from ruin and it is now a true gem. They charge $12 for a tasting and did let us try one wine for free since we weren't familiar with their wines and were going to buy a couple during the afternoon. I wish they had descriptions of their wines on the wine list and would tell you what grapes were used as well, since they are named things like Old Depot and you have no idea what the wines are. I thought the wines were a little too expensive but since they let you bring food in I guess it balances out. Most of the wines were over $25 a bottle, but we enjoyed the ones we had!

First impressions when arriving... wow, clean, organized and impressive details everywhere. The wedding service was performed here. Valley Farms had a nice outdoor area set up overlooking pastures. If the weather was bad there was an option to bring it inside. The main barn for the reception looked to have been built for receptions. Big enough to accommodate probably over 200 guests with room for DJ and a large head table. Prior to the reception, there was an outdoor bar with seating everywhere. Here the wedding had appetizers and cash bar. Only ding was the option for liquor, beers and wines. (Barefoot wines...not exactly high quality). They had a few animals out and a tractor hay ride (without hay) to take the wedding party out for pictures. A nice area for a bonfire once the sun went down and temps hit 50's which was a lot of fun. I don't have the cost, but in the wedding reception market, it's competitive but compare apples to apples. In the end, Valley Farms was very impressive in the setting, atmosphere they created for an outdoor, barn feel and everything looked brand new and well taken care of.
