Both times I walked away extremely happy and feeling like a new woman. Marissa is extremely knowledgeable and will walk you through her thought process. I booked online with Jesse right before I moved out of state... he is amazing and gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. It's been about two+ months now and my hair still looks great! I told him I was moving to LA and thinking about going shorter. He actually said a longer length would be better for me so I could pull it off my neck when it's hot. And of course, he was right. He evaluated my hair and explained his thought process on the way he wanted to cut it. I told him to go for it! He was very communicative and thoughtful in regard to my low maintenance style. We talked about some fun color options I could try during my next visit and he even told me to text him when I'm back in town because he would make time for me to come in, even if he wasn't scheduled that day! Plus, after I told him I was heading out with my boyfriend for our last date in Columbus, he curled it and styled it in a fun/romantic way. He gave me an American Balayage, which is like an ombré on steroids, in March at his precious salon location in Clintonville. The color grew out so beautifully and naturally that I didn't get my hair re-colored until December 1. And I only got two haircuts in those nine months because the haircut, too, grew out so nicely. I'm a graduate student, and Darren is always mindful of my budget. But because his haircuts last so darn long, I can afford to get fancier color. Also, I thought Darren was exaggerating when he said that a Brazilian Blowout would change my life. I have really frizzy hair, so a promise of "no frizz, and you'll roll out of bed every morning looking like you walked out of a salon" sounded impossible. But omg, it has seriously improved my life. No frizz, not even after CrossFit workouts in the summer humidity. I roll out of bed looking like I just had my hair done, and I have no split ends. It's ah-maze-ing.
