Attended the grand opening of the new Macy's in Randhust Village. The staff were donned in red clothing in celebration of the opening, and enthusiastic and very friendly. A nice addition to Randhurst.

It's an older though renovated Kohl's and usually very quiet and you kind of wonder if they will survive the next franchise downsizing. They are in a strip mall and have a huge and open parking lot. Like most Kohl's they have a Sephora, a self pickup station for online orders, and a convenient Amazon drop-off station.

When I came in I headed toward the order pickup section. When I arrived at the "self pickup", nothing made sense. I didn't have anything that corresponded to the number system they had so I didn't know where the heck to pick up my item. Their site didn't indicate they offered curbside pickup (I checked my email just in case I'd misunderstood how I was to pick it up). I called and was on hold about six minutes because no one ever picked up. (There were 20+ people in line and I didn't want to wait around there just to be told to go elsewhere; what's the point of pickup if not to be quick?) Finally I found an associate not behind a cash register and he went to get my order, which was in the back and not at all in correspondence to the system they had out on the floor. I guess maybe they expect people to stand in line? But that doesn't make sense when their pickup system says you should check your email to pick up your item. I don't know.

I then went through each of the fabrics. I wanted to purchase for my shirt and 3 custom suits and did all the measurements. They had about 15 minutes to spare when I finally asked for the total price so I can get billed and leave. I told my sales rep and manager that I was buying a suit that needed to be ready within a couple weeks maybe 3 to 4 and they said that they can meet that timeframe as well as have everything done before the hour. When I was saying OK, let's check out - with plenty of time to spare, they pushed me out the door by saying why don't you schedule another time with your Sales Rep for the next time he'll be here. ... we're closing. My wife was with me and I was pretty upset because I was wasted several hours of figuring out where I wanted to go and when I finally arrived there and did all the work to buy new suits, they rushed me out so they can close for the night early .... never again!

They tell you about their offers, what's on sale as well as what will be on sale. I was actually told about this place years ago I just didn't make the time to make it out here. But wow was I missing out! I usually go to male xl but the prices are just so high it's hard to really buy more than a few things. But here it's a different story, the prices are very reasonable! I find it hard to actually go back to xl. It's obviously got a smaller size of selection but it's just an amazing business. This will be my new place to shop and HIGHLY recommend the place.

We were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who took a few measurements and wasn't sure if they had any suits that would fit our grandson. After some thinking,he said let's try a slim fit sport coat and pants. Needless to say they both fit perfectly . He then suggested a few dress shirts and ties for us but the shirts were a little big and the ties in my opinion were too expensive. We purchased the suit and he said if we need it taylored in the future,we could bring it back as they have a taylor 'in house." Service was kind and fast, no line at all. I was so shocked at how clean and organized this store is. I'm not sure when it opened but it still feels new. I'm not sure if this is a lesser traveled Macy's or if they're just on top of their displays because everything was nearly perfect. The sections are quite a bit smaller than your three floor Macy's but I was thoroughly impressed that they have a variety of sizes in the items they do carry. Strip mall factor may help this become my new favorite Macy's!
