Would definitely recommend them and would use them again if our AC goes out.

The temps were 105+ degrees this week and the company couldn't get the job done. They literally told me to call another company so I called ECONO WEST. Talked to Dave, and he immediately sent out Dan. Dan came and immediately grabbed the necessary parts to be fixed and took them back to the shop right away but He was having trouble removing the fan at the shop, due to it being a 36year old part. That didn't , he took matters into his own hands and was trying to work on this part with his own equipment in his garage at his home. Dan was able to get a fan onto the new motor and installed it in a very timely manner to get the AC back up and running. I know the unit is old but when it's time to upgrade, I will be calling ECONO WEST without a doubt in my mind. I highly recommend these guys for your AC needs, they will treat you like family and help you in your time of need. These guys are polite, respectful, and will take care of your heating or cooling emergencies right away. Dave and Dan, I cannot thank you guys enough for helping my mother out and getting her AC back up and running. You two are amazing and I will recommend you guys to all of my friends, family and coworkers from now on. Thanks again Dave and Dan, keep up the excellent work by helping people keep their houses warm or cold with great customer service, great work, quickness and treating us like your own family.

This company is an air duct cleaning company and not a chimney cleaning company (false advertisement). I'm glad I didn't allow their tech on the rooftop as he didn't have proper chimney tools and materials for brick, cement, stucco, roofing repairs or replacement. This seemed like a recipe for a true disaster. Not sure who to call, I checked out Yelp for some direction. There are actually quite a few companies with 5-star ratings. It was only 7am, but I needed immediate help. I called the first company on the list. Not surprisingly, they didn't answer...too early I suppose. I took a moment and looked at the rest of the list. Then I did something I don't usually do. I called the company with only 4 reviews. After reading those 4 reviews I realized this was probably a one-man business and hoped for some preferred treatment rather than getting in line at a bigger company. I called at 7:15am and Elvis answered right away. I explained my dire situation and the urgency of getting the a/c fixed for my mom. Elvis said he had a few stops already but that he could be there between 11-12. He showed up right at 11am. He was professional and courteous and explained everything to me. He replaced the capacitor and the unit started blowing cold immediately. It took 19 minutes from start to finish. I am so grateful to AV Comfort Specialists for such prompt and speedy service. It's 103 outside now, but my mom is safe and comfortable thanks to Elvis. Due to her age and health status, he is quite literally a lifesaver!! *He handles all HVAC as well as appliance repair.

A year ago we bought a fixer-upper with two broken HVAC systems. I researched what an HVAC system…read moreshould cost in Palmdale, CA in 2023 (last year). Then I scheduled 4 companies to come out and give us estimates. The first guy came in a suit with a fancy portfolio full of pictures and told us he'd need at least 90 minutes for the estimate (this is a yellow flag). He bragged about his company and finally gave us a quote of $55,000; I could not stop laughing. Then the second candidate showed up and put us through a similar show and tell of all they would do for us. He came in at $27,000 but my research told me that was still too high and he could not answer many of the questions I asked him. Both of these guys used scare tactics and put everyone else down in order to get the business. The phrase "you'll get what you pay for" is their favorite line. Don't buy it. Neither of these guys really knew about HVAC systems...they were just trained to sell, sell, sell. The other 2 companies were Oscar's SoCalMechanical and another local company. Their quotes were nearly identical and right in line with my research of fair prices. All 4 companies were quoting the same brand with the same specs. We choose Oscar of Southern California Mechanical because he was straight-forward, knowledgeable, and totally honest. Oscar explained exactly what we needed for the size of our home and also what would not make any difference. Yes, he knows about all the high priced bells and whistles, but if you don't need them, he's not going to try to razzle-dazzle and upsell you on things you don't need. He has a gift for educating people about HVAC systems and if you pay attention, you'll learn so much. This home needed everything; at times it was over-whelming. In the midst of the remodeling project that is finally approaching completion after a year, it has been extremely refreshing to find someone who is not just in it for the money, but who truly cares about the long-term service he can offer his customers. Our units have been working fine for a full year now and we've been very comfortable. In fact, we're going to sign up for the maintenance/cleaning package so that Oscar and his team can keep our new units working efficiently for years to come. We highly recommend Oscar and his team at Southern California Mechanical because of his honesty and dedication to his customers.

Instead of trying to rip me off right away with a costly service he recommended to refill the freon and for us to check if the issue goes away.
