We contacted Chermak when our bathrooms were destroyed during a massive water leak in our home and…read morewe were dealing with a huge insurance claim. We were initially recommended to a few contractors that specialized in restoration from leaks but started to feel uncomfortable with the process and like they were all trying to take advantage of us via the insurance claim. A neighborhood Facebook group pointed us to Chermak with consistent reports of them having great service, but also a fair price and staying on time and on budget. I was quickly connected to Angel the project manager and she was able to come out to our house that week for an inspection. She immediately built trust with us and showed a genuine care for wanting to get us back into our home (we had been out already for 3 months). We trusted our gut and quickly got to work with Angel and Chermak and getting the ball rolling on the scope of work to be done and approved by our insurance company. And to risk the obvious pun here, Angel was an Angel, there's no way this would have gone how it did without her, for all that she manages and does she's very efficient and good at her job and really absorbs a lot of the stress and difficulty that is common to this kind of work. She also was very reasonable with us in not upselling, offering suggestions where things could be easier or money better spent, which helped with our trust. Fast forward to the working starting EARLY (which was a good thing) and not only completing on time but even a week EARLY than what was planned, so exciting for us. Kim from the design team helped us get our plans together for the bathrooms to achieve what we really wanted out of them and set the plans in place. Tyler was our GC for the 8 weeks of restoration and I selfishly don't want to tell everyone how good he is because then everyone will want him. We were concerned about having so many people in our home and around our stuff, but he so quickly made us feel comfortable and was adopted into the family. He also really listened to us and understood our wants, needs and particular requests as the bathrooms were constructed, he knew it was important to us things be done the right way and was willing to take the time to see it through. He's also just an all-around good dude and we miss having him here. I've given many referrals since our job wrapped to other prospective clients for Chermak and we intend to hire them again when it's time to remodel our kitchen. Our job was not without any issues but they were determined to do the right thing and see us be happy with the end result, which is a really great experience in this kind of arrangement. Customer service goes a long way and is often worth paying for and we are so happy with our new bathrooms. Thank you Chermak team!

It's a wonderful company and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I don't plan on having any more remodeling done for some time but if and when I do I'll gladly return to Chermak. I want to specifically mention the team that worked on the place since I'm so happy with the job. AnJanette oversaw things and walked me through the job, Gary did a phenomenal job doing the initial assessment and recon, Jack, Craig, Chris, Carson, and John did the work and painting. I don't know enough about the details to give specifics of who did what, but it was all done really, really well and I am ecstatic about it. If you're looking for a remodel, Chermak knows their stuff and does the job well.

My family and I bought a home in August 2012 and all the bathrooms need remodeling. We decided to…read moreundertake the children's bathroom first as it was the smallest and would serve perfectly as a "tester" room. We sought bids from 4 contractors and prices ranged from 6K to 15K. We stumbled upon SMY after finding a vanity we liked and SMY were the local vendor for that product. When visiting their showroom in Lynnwood, we found them to be friendly, knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and willing to take time to discuss our exact needs and wants. The bathroom is very small and had not seen any improvements in 20 years. We wanted new everything, but because of size basic layout had to remain the same. SMY quoted $9500. This price included removal and disposal of the old bathroom, new plumbing and dry walling where needed, removal of knockdown and retexturing of walls, installation of bath, toilet, vanity with granite surface and under mounted sink, a seamless bath/shower door, faucets and bath and shower hardware, the tiling of the floor and around the tub, a new bathroom fan, a mirror that matched the vanity and painting. All we had to provide was lighting, knobs for the vanity, a towel rail and toilet roll holder that they installed. When it came time for SMY to start work they communicated with me very effectively and managed expectations well. They worked as quickly and efficiently as they possible could without compromising quality or workmanship. As you can tell, I am incredibly pleased with SMY. They did a wonderful job on my children's bathroom and I can't wait for them to start work on the main bathroom. I have done a few remodeling projects now and have not always had the same level of confidence, or success that I have had with SMY. I can't begin to tell you how comforting it is to work with a company that really does want to leave you with the best product that they possibly can.

They completed a project I'd been wanting to do for years - removing a wall to open up the space between my kitchen and the rest of the living area - and it completely transformed my home! From the very beginning, they were incredibly responsive. After I reached out, David came out that same week to discuss and scope the project, and once I was ready, they were able to schedule the work soon after. The entire project was completed in just one week from start to finish. The whole team was kind, hardworking, and paid close attention to every detail. Whenever I had a question or concern, they were happy to address it. The only thing I would call out is that they sometimes worked outside of the usual work hours (up to 8/9pm) - but I'm sure you could discuss timing expectations. I would absolutely recommend Luxury Construction to anyone looking for a reliable contractor. I'm thrilled with the results!

Beyond their technical skill, Sergei runs a business rooted in integrity. They were transparent, incredibly hardworking, and remained solution-oriented even when we threw them a few curveballs. Most importantly, they were remarkably respectful of our space; living through a renovation with two young children is usually a nightmare, but they kept the site tidy and the disruption minimal. After a previous bad experience with another contractor, working with Sergei was like night and day. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They were very responsive and able to accommodate my urgent schedule. They moved all the furniture, refinished the floors and moved the furniture back in 3 days. The floors look beautiful. In addition to the great job on the floors, the guy I communicated directly with, Paul, went above and beyond in customer service. He met with my neighbor (who is very....let's just call him....needy) and helped to alleviate any concerns he had about the refinishing (smell etc). Paul also found my phone after I dropped it (I thought it was lost). He went out of his way to get it back to me and wouldn't accept any money. I didn't meet with any of the rest of the crew that worked on the floors, but Paul seems to genuinely care about the clients as well as providing an excellent, on-time product. I would definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their floors.

We hired McLeod to replace the very large roof-top garden deck for our 10-unit condominium…read morebuilding. The rotting wood deck surface was almost covered with built-in planter boxes that contained thousands of pounds of pea gravel, mulch, and dead plants. All of this had to be demolished & removed off the underlying concrete slab. Previously we had interviewed several commercial contractors, but McLeod was the only contractor who confidently said they could readily handle the demolition. They performed this feat in less than 2 weeks which was phenomenal, as everything had to be hand-bagged and carried down an outside stairwell to the garage below, which they loaded out daily, allowing us to still have full use of the garage. Upon removal it was revealed that the membrane sealant on our slab base had been corroded and also needed to be replaced, which was a known possibility. McLeod has a roofing division and they submitted the best proposal for remediation and were chosen for this job as well. A two-ply torch down roof was applied and the quality of the seaming and application was extremely good. This job took a little over 2 weeks, which was good considering the size of the deck and the complexities of meeting the seams up to the sides of our building. By the time we were able to start the actual deck rebuild, we knew that McLeod's workmanship would be great - but it ended up being exceptional! No corner on our deck was built at 90 degrees - it is very angular and the way they cut and matched the angles was exacting & impressive. The McLeod project manager was at our sight every day. He kept us informed of everything every step of the way and answered all our questions. The work teams arrived on time every day and worked 5 days a week, every week. If your building has a major project need, McLeod has several different divisions and can handle most anything from decks to roofs to siding, and delivers beyond expectations.

There were multiple units being worked on in our area so our complex & parking lot was strewn with construction debris, nails, falling pieces of wood while they worked on roofing, etc. I lost count of how many nails got stuck in my tire. The worst part was when they did glass work and the glass SHATTERED all over the unit during the removal process early in the morning. I was finding chunks of glass months later. There was no apology, no contact from management. Just a MESS. The absolute most unprofessional construction company I've ever come across. It is unfortunate that as renters we don't have a choice as to who gets hired to do work on our place of residence. I assume they are one of the more affordable options because my complex is known to hire the cheapest possible labor (eye roll) - but if YOU have the choice please save yourself the trouble & steer clear.
