The outside of the building is really not indicative of what is inside. It is clean and neatly decorated with old photos and pheasants, old cow skulls (I think) and a neat stencil illustrating all of the different cuts of beef on a cow on the walls. My kids got a kick out of this. We had some beer (good selection) and iced tea and enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich with amazing fries, the prospector chicken sandwich, west of Loredo burger and buffalo chicken sandwich. All of the food was fresh and tasty. The Prospector chicken sandwich has a lot of jalapeño on it so just be aware of that. No biggie for me. I just took some of it out as my tummy was a little sensitive and I thought it might be too much for me today. Side salads we switched for some of our fries were fresh! I would definitely like to try a salad here. I also saw a baked potato and ribs come out to another table and they looked good! Service was wonderful. So friendly and attentive. I forgot to take photos of all of the food, but I did catch a couple of the meals before we ate them. I really would love to see this business succeed and thank you for giving us more wonderful options nearby! Oh and P.S. the restaurant is adjoining to a tavern you can go back and forth between. We walked through the Tavern and it's a fun bar atmosphere with a pool table and shuffle board along with a full bar and some high tops and tables. Kids are allowed in here, just not at the actual bar!

But i decided to give it another shot and I'm glad i did. I ordered the sirloin and my husband ordered the half rack of ribs. My husband loved his plate so much he devoured it. I actually finished up my entire plate as well. Im not giving a 5 star rating unfortunately because i must say in the first 15 mins i had wanted to leave. We came in for dinner time and we were waiting to be seated. The waitress looked very busy and they told us to sit anywhere. So we did and we had been waiting for a while before anyone came to get our drinks orders or give us menus. I saw the waitresses going back & forth from the saloon to the dinning area i feel as though that contributes to longer wait times for service.

We made a reservation for 3 at 7 PM and upon arriving, we were seated right away! Between the three of us, we ordered a vegan Caesar salad (btw do you know how hard it is to find a vegan Caesar salad?!), nachos (with chicken on the side), the Mozwell burger (the fries on the side were absolutely crispy and delicious), and the aguachilles! I thought it was really kind of the server to accommodate my mom's vegetarian preferences, and offered to put the meat on the side! The restaurant is clean, and the food is served fast (which I so appreciate when you're hungry). We had just missed happy hour which is from 4 to 6; however, I definitely want to come back and try it out!

Well we are still sitting on the patio at 8:50 waiting for a table that was reserved. Drinks were okay. Live music was great ( mind you we were listening from the patio) was great. Our server was okay. So far still waiting on the "reserved" table. So we have not had any food, only drinks. Management needs to do better.

Had reservations for a party of four (made via online) and was seated right away. Ambiance is dark and intimate but seating was enough to feel like you had room. Drinks were delicious and strong and service was great and quick. You are limited to eating and drinking within a certain time frame but it's not bad as the servers are on it. Drinks 10/10 and food 10/10. I'm still craving their burger, one of the best ones I have had, I can't even compare it to anywhere else. Bathrooms are located outside of the speakeasy.

Not sure if reservations are required, but this speakeasy is pretty tiny so I can't imagine it can accommodate walk ins. We had a reservation for 8pm on a Friday night. The door is very well hidden, I thought it'd be in a basement around the corner or something. The space is really small, so big groups are not advised. I had the niña fresa, a strawberries and creme type drink. Delicious! If you like sweet drinks, otherwise do not get it. I had the Saturn afterwards. Still a little sweet, but mostly sour. The server came by to say that we only had 25 min left, so we hurriedly ordered a last drink. But when he delivered it, it magically became 5 min! I chugged my drink and was ushered out the door. Overall it was pretty nice but I didn't enjoy having to rush at the very end.

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!
