My mulch bed looked great at first! Key word "at first" after about a month I noticed that the…read moresheet that goes under the mulch was folding up which was fine I just kind of brushed it off but there wasn't enough mulch layed down to cover the spots where it was folding up so they did not lay down a sufficient amount of mulch. Over time as summer came I noticed A LOT of weeds coming through the bed. They would pop up and I would spray weed killer on them and they would come right back, for clarification I got this mulch bed done in February/March. Two of my trees that they planted are also dying even though they have been watered multiple times since I got them. I'm assuming that they didn't take measures to keep the weed barrier in place. I payed thousands of dollars to get this done and it went down the drain and now I will have to pay another company to fix whatever they did.

The previous owner had warned me about it, but didn't know how it could be fixed. Doug and Loren came out, took careful measurements and came up with a plan which preserved the trees, which were near the house. They put in a French drain with a removable grate on the concrete patio as well as 6 separate drains leading from the house. Doug and Loren also gave me advice about how a guttering system could lead into the drains.The crew worked rapidly and took only two days from start to finish. Now my house is actually dry around the base, something which I didn't think was possible. They did a great job and at a very reasonable price. Yeah to Doug & Loren! PS They also won one of the top landscaping awards in the area.

We had a very disappointing experience with S&G Carpet…read more The initial installation was extremely poor, staples and nails and screws were left exposed on the carpet and also thrown on the floor (a safety hazard, especially with small children), debris wasn't cleaned up, and there was even a spill that was not disclosed until we pointed it out. The carpet also had to be redone due to workmanship issues, requiring multiple return visits and extending what should have been a straightforward project into several days. (Install was Monday and was finally properly completed on Thursday) While the company eventually sent a different installer to correct the work (2 more times), the process to get there was frustrating. Communication from management was argumentative and combative at times, to the point that I did not feel comfortable meeting alone and asked my husband to be present. The tone of the interaction was noticeably different in person. We ultimately reached a resolution, but it took far more effort than it should have. After spending nearly $8,000, the level of workmanship, professionalism, and overall experience simply did not reflect the value we were promised. I would strongly recommend closely monitoring any work done and documenting everything if you choose to use this company.
