Jd is a magician and he powder coats also at a fair price. Quick turn around also . My go to guy for any metal work I need.

Jose Luis was professional and responsive in repairing a cracked and bent wheel, repairing another wheel with curb rash, and powder coating all the wheels on my wife's vehicle. His price was more than fair. read more

JD is fantastic to work with and did an amazing job stripping and coating my beloved Forgelines. He took extra care to get everything perfect. I looked at several shops to do these and wanted the type of shop where the owner would oversee the work and get the details right, he did exactly that. They indeed look perfect! read more

Guys, cannot say enough about this company. I went to Discount Tire to get my wheels rotated and balanced. They told me and showed me that i had three rims that were bent, two of them pretty bad. I brought it in there because I knew something was wrong, after getting my car front wheel aligned and was still shaking on the freeway. Discount tried to sell me four new rims which would total close to $1000 with install. I went to JD Wheels Repair on a Friday morning, and he had all three of my Rims fixed and sent me photo of work. My car is back to new again, smooth as can be! And for a lot cheaper than buying new rims for my car which is already 7 years old. Thank you. read more

Jose did an amazing job repairing and powder coating my rim -- you can't even tell that it was ever damaged! Not only was the work excellent, he was able to get me in the day after I called AND finished my rim by that same afternoon. WOW. We were so impressed by his work, that we took in another set rims (3-piece polished aluminum wheels) for him to repair and polish. read more

They did a great job on my wheels - I own a Lincoln MKZ, and I had the wheels sandblasted and powder coated. They ran into some challenges because my wheel cover was part plastic, and they had to coat one area 6X. End of story, they came through and made sure the wheels looked great, and their prices were very reasonable. read more

Having moved from New York to Texas with my really low a4 b6 Audi. I encountered a crazy Texas man hole that took my lower pressure ac lines. I couldn't bare the heat and the parts store had a replacement line because again Audi thinks they are too good. I called jd wheels literally 10 minutes before they closed and it takes me about an hour to get to them from spring. They waited for me and fixed my ac lines right. They earned my trust and business and would definitely be back again to get my wheels coated. read more

I found this place on Yelp and I call before going in. When I got to the place I told them that I had a crack on my 18" wheel. During the process The owner kept me on what's going on and what are they doing to the wheel. I save money and time by not having to buy another new wheel that would have cost me $175 for one wheel. I would recommend this place if you have a crack or/and bent wheels or rims. Or event if you need some welding. read more

I was looking at various Shops to repair my Curb Rash Rims and came across J & D. The reviews were positive so I gave them a try. And I am SO Happy & Pleased with my Rims!!! Owner Jose takes pride in his work and it shows!! I can't even see where the rims were scuffed! My vehicle is a year old so it NOW looks Brand New Again!! Although J & D is a bit far from where I live, I will definitely return for Rim or any other aluminium problem. The owner was very fast in responding to my quote. I told him I planned to only take half day at work and I had no other ride and due to my work schedule I could not come to get my wheels repaired another time. He went out of his way to start immediately on my wheels. My wheels came out perfect and they did it in 2 hours time. read more

One of my father's aluminum deck chairs survived four moves: from Florida, to New York, to LA, to Texas, before two of the aluminum rungs that held the cushions in place gave out and quite literally fell off. With him out of town it fell to his intrepid, loyal, and mildly inconvenienced son to affect repairs. When I first heard about J&D Welding it was on a napkin, with an address and a phone number on it. I had trouble finding the place as there is a former address floating around on the internet somewhere like a beartrap, but with only a little mild panicking, I found it.Once I knew the spot it was the easiest thing in the world to find. These guys are top notch. The price quoted was fair, and they were polite enough to let me know it was going to take an extra day. They even offered a slight discount for the inconvenience. Their customer service is excellent, and their work is, so far, unfailing. The chair is back in pride of place on my father's patio, and we have J&D Aluminum Welding to thank for it. Courteous, Friendly, and Principled. Great business. read more

I was originally going to another place but I read up on the reviews....I'm glad I did because JD wheel repair had some awesome reviews, kinda far for me to drive with a cracked rim but hey I made it there and they fixed it promptly!!! I hope I never have to return here for a broken or cracked rim but being in Houston I'll probably have to see them again and I'll only deal with them! read more

In a word, DAMN! I usually don't write reviews because after all, it's a business so you are suppose to be good at what you do. But every once in a while, you come across an experience that exceeds your expectation and this was it. The wifey lost a battle with a curb and messed up one of the new rims on the car. I was concerned about color match(carbon graphite color) as well as being able to tell there was a repair done. JD said if he couldn't do it, he would tell me. So I let him do it and I was blown away. The work was great and the price was right. He has got a new customer for life. read more

(En Espańol abajo) ~ J&D Wheels Repair has a perfect rating for a reason- it's legit!! Mr. Jose is honest from the get go. I came in with a bad curb rash on one of my rims and he told me that they may not get the same finish because the original top coat is very thick; therefore, a difference may be noticeable. Because i needed the rim repair ASAP I took the chance and was told it would take a few hours. I dropped it off at 10 AM and came back at 3 PM to see a rim that looks brand new! I can't tell the difference between the other wheels' finishes and the repaired one. Mr. Jose did an exceptional job repairing the rim and I am very grateful he was able to do it in a few hours. His prices are very reasonable. They also repair any rim cracks, bends, and do color on rims as well! Don't go to big name repair shops- they will probably try to scam you. I drove out all the way from the very east side of Houston and would recommend anyone to drive out here even if you're far away- it's absolutely worth it. 100% satisfecha! read more

I recently came here to get 2 wheels that were bent fixed, it was kind of tricky to find because of the locations since its tucked away. But once I found it the service was great and even helped me work out a good deal ($180 for 2 wheels) too fix both bent wheels and some curb rash, service was also prompt and quality was good. I would recommend coming here to fix bent or crub rims I saved a ton of money rather than buying 2 new ones read more

I gave it five stars because I thought it was a little pricey for a very tiny crack (or maybe I have a lack of knowledge and thought it was pricey) however; the service was fast, efficient, and professional. Great communication by the owner, too. I called several times because I was lost and he was careful enough to text me the address and came out of the shop to make sure I arrived safely. He was also short staffed for the day and was able to start and finish my car with 2 hours. For your welding needs, I would recommend this business. read more

I decided to give JD repair a try after reading all the great reviews left by the other customers. I am very happy with the workmanship of Jose and his crew. I took a part of the magnesium alloy air intake to 6 or 8 welders in Houston to fix a broken bolt hole. The hole is one of four which hold down the fuel rail and injectors on a 2007 Mercedes AMG M156 engine. All refused to work on it. Two said they could - JD and a boat propeller repair shop. The boat propeller shop was bigger, so I gave them a try. WRONG MOVE. He messed it up, adding a blow thru. JD took the part, fixed the other guys mess up, including the blow thru. JD asked for the fuel rail for an exact fix. He grinded, drilled and tapped it perfectly. IT'S NOT THE SIZE OF THE DOG IN THE FIGHT, BUT THE SIZE OF THE FIGHT IN THE DOG! read more
