Guys, cannot say enough about this company. I went to Discount Tire to get my wheels rotated and balanced. They told me and showed me that i had three rims that were bent, two of them pretty bad. I brought it in there because I knew something was wrong, after getting my car front wheel aligned and was still shaking on the freeway. Discount tried to sell me four new rims which would total close to $1000 with install. I went to JD Wheels Repair on a Friday morning, and he had all three of my Rims fixed and sent me photo of work. They ran into some challenges because my wheel cover was part plastic, and they had to coat one area 6X. Having moved from New York to Texas with my really low a4 b6 Audi. I encountered a crazy Texas man hole that took my lower pressure ac lines. I couldn't bare the heat and the parts store had a replacement line because again Audi thinks they are too good. One of my father's aluminum deck chairs survived four moves: from Florida, to New York, to LA, to Texas, before two of the aluminum rungs that held the cushions in place gave out and quite literally fell off. With him out of town it fell to his intrepid, loyal, and mildly inconvenienced son to affect repairs. When I first heard about J&D Welding it was on a napkin, with an address and a phone number on it. I had trouble finding the place as there is a former address floating around on the internet somewhere like a beartrap, but with only a little mild panicking, I found it.Once I knew the spot it was the easiest thing in the world to find. These guys are top notch. The price quoted was fair, and they were polite enough to let me know it was going to take an extra day. They even offered a slight discount for the inconvenience. I came in with a bad curb rash on one of my rims and he told me that they may not get the same finish because the original top coat is very thick; therefore, a difference may be noticeable. Because i needed the rim repair ASAP I took the chance and was told it would take a few hours. I dropped it off at 10 AM and came back at 3 PM to see a rim that looks brand new! I can't tell the difference between the other wheels' finishes and the repaired one. Mr. Jose did an exceptional job repairing the rim and I am very grateful he was able to do it in a few hours. His prices are very reasonable. They also repair any rim cracks, bends, and do color on rims as well! Don't go to big name repair shops- they will probably try to scam you. I drove out all the way from the very east side of Houston and would recommend anyone to drive out here even if you're far away- it's absolutely worth it. I recently came here to get 2 wheels that were bent fixed, it was kind of tricky to find because of the locations since its tucked away. But once I found it the service was great and even helped me work out a good deal ($180 for 2 wheels) too fix both bent wheels and some curb rash, service was also prompt and quality was good. I gave it five stars because I thought it was a little pricey for a very tiny crack (or maybe I have a lack of knowledge and thought it was pricey) however; the service was fast, efficient, and professional. Great communication by the owner, too. I called several times because I was lost and he was careful enough to text me the address and came out of the shop to make sure I arrived safely. I took a part of the magnesium alloy air intake to 6 or 8 welders in Houston to fix a broken bolt hole. The hole is one of four which hold down the fuel rail and injectors on a 2007 Mercedes AMG M156 engine. All refused to work on it. Two said they could - JD and a boat propeller repair shop. The boat propeller shop was bigger, so I gave them a try. WRONG MOVE. He messed it up, adding a blow thru. JD took the part, fixed the other guys mess up, including the blow thru. JD asked for the fuel rail for an exact fix. He grinded, drilled and tapped it perfectly. IT'S NOT THE SIZE OF THE DOG IN THE FIGHT, BUT THE SIZE OF THE FIGHT IN THE DOG! read more

I initially requested an online quote and Jose responded within an hour. Based upon the pictures I provided, he was able to give me a price estimate and the approximate time needed for the repairs. His quote and time frame were spot on. This entire process (from soliciting the quote to the actual repair) was approximately 48 hours and my car rims look great!!
