Nice store, bright, colorful and fully stocked. I came for the Portrait studio. Even though I was ten minutes late I was accommodated. Professional staff as well. I took off one star because it is like a ghost town on the floor. I think they may have two people per floor working. read more

I don't frequent JCPenny's often. I only stop by here in passing if Im in the area and think they may have what Im looking for. I was on my way to DSW and decided to run in to get a jacket for my niece as a birthday gift. I got an awesome deal! Saved $95 in promotion and a coupon I found online. I plan on going back to visit the Sephora to find a red lipstick. Every Time I leave JCPenny I think to myself, I really need to shop here more. read more

Good sales today.. With the friends and family discount and Arizona pants being buy one, get one for the free, $32.00.. Also got the wife a pair of flats for $31.00 after the discount. All in all, a good shopping experience... One thing tho, they could make the place a bit neater looking.. Very cluttered, especially in the shoe department. read more

Called to determine if item was in stock. Operator connected me to wrong department, who sent me back to operator, who connected me to a different wrong department. Ordered online. Received item wrong size. Returned with form - "Exchange" written front and back. One week later (took that long to get it): "2-3 weeks." Two weeks later "Received. Do you want to order something?" I tried to place an order a few weeks ago. I must not have not understood your order procedure. I tried to order a cookware set and some bath towel sets plus some sheet sets. I must not have read the fine print or something. I received the cookware set and towel sets but the sheet sets turned out to be only pillow case sets. the cookware set was sent and I received it OK but now the order of the shorted items shows that you are going to send a second cookware set which I don't want or need. I must be dumb for thinking I could count on you company to fill an order.......Thanks for giving my a chance to blow off a little steam. I love this store. I got most of my maternity clothes here on sale. The customer service gals are super helpful, and I've never had better service in the lingerie department. Last week I went into th eJC Penney store in Wayne NJ. I Needed to purchase a new refrigerator, but my space (location ) prohibits me from really getting what I wanted. The one I currently have works but I wanted a ice maker & water. My sales person Crystal Cruz & I spoke for quite some time and she was aware of my needs. I made a purchas( GE ) set my delivery date (yesterday) I was also sold a water line (12 foot) to hook up my factory installed ice maker. When the delivery team dropped off the appliance (they were very professional) & pulled away I quickly realized there was no ice maker!!!! I called them back & after several phone calls I was told the ice maker was a extra charge!! I tried to reach my sales associate Crystal Cruz and was told she was not in & to send back the appliances. I took a day off from work, and was out a tip (the delivery team wanted to give it back but it was not their fault). Why was I sold a waterline for a ice maker if there was no ice maker!! Please check twice when and if you buy a appliance from jcpenney Apparently they do not know what they are talking about. I sent Crystal Cruz a email but she was not professional enough to answer. I used to really like going to Wayne JCP salon, but their customer service skills has dropped to an all new low. You call and they don't pick up the phone, you leave a message ad they don't call you back. I went in and waited for almost 10 minutes for someone to come to front desk, of course no one came, so I just left. I'm so disappointed in this salon, because now I have to find some where else to go. read more

My experience at the store in Wayne today was very poor. There was a very long line at the online pickup center around 1:15 pm today. There were two Associates working this line as best they could. They had to work the registers as well as run out back to retrieve the online orders. I felt badly for them as they had no help or support from Management. In addition, there were two associates across the store in appliances doing absolutely nothing . Whenever I looked over at them begging for assistance with a sad look they would look away, start texting on their phones and basically walk around away from the counter so they couldn't see me. I was too far away to ask for help. The associate who finally rang me up was very helpful. However, I believe his computer wasn't searching properly for phone numbers. I gave him my two phone numbers and the computer couldn't pull up my order. I stepped aside to find my order number and another couple came up and the machine couldn't pull up their 3 phone numbers either. Get your computer fixed. Then I walked over to look at comforters and bedding, 2 Associates were chatting the whole time, no one was around. Meanwhile the Associates at the online pickup counter were swamped. Poor Management of team members, no teamwork, lazy Associates not being managed and hard working Associates left out to dry. My experience really stunk. I won't be back. Any manager know to relocate staff to busy locations. read more

Went there 2 wks ago, since it's still bugging me, writing review. Walked in. Plenty of JCP ppl on the floor, only ONE bothered to look at me and say hello (mature woman w/blonde hair). But that was 1st Floor. Went up to the Lingerie Dept. Saw emplyee & asked for help. Told me she worked in Childrens (next dept over) but was looking for a customer (imho she was shopping for herself). I asked if she could call someone, "What do you want?" not the best response. Told her and she said I didn't know what I was talking about. (%$#@??!!). I went back to Flr 1 and saw overhead sign for Cstr Srv. Spoke to man who said someone would be there. WAITED 15-20 mins. Lost count bcuz another custmr overheard me and waited w me. I was able to help HER find what she wanted. NO JCP ever showed up. I was Furious. Went back to Cstr Srv desk & told him I'd never shop there again. As I said, still bugging 2 wks later, so here's my review. When someone seeks you out for employee help, you, JCP are already doing a real bad job at customer service. Bought what I needed elsewhere. Your loss. read more

the Wayne store is the best Jcp I have been in the staff is s nice the store is always clean neat I walys find what I want
